So sad to see so much wasted effort. The mild steel band run over the top does nothing. The only stress is at right angles to that. A waste of time and materials. Let's hope the next generation of repairmen get a better education.

I’m of the opinion that there is a serious flaw in the manufacturing structure of the axle because consistently these axles are a subjective speculative unreliability ( prone to failure) in a specific area of the axle constantly either side suffer catastrophic failure and only through the magnetic resonance of a incredible welder engineer the axle has a significant design problem dealt with properly and professionally 😊😊😊😊
that engineer is an artist his welding is a genuine work of art .. perfection . Kurtis at Cutting Edge Engineering in Australia would be proud to sign off your work . I have a sneaky feeling that axle repair will outlast the truck .
