And he had the courage to say that at a time when gamers were so stigmatized and hated that governments were openly talking about banning games and pulling things from shelves.
@@iilwy This was 2 years ago. I agree, what Nintendo's executives has been doing has been terrible, while I know Iwata didn't have the best record, but they have gotten so much worse since his passing.
The one frustrating part nowadays is people are using his quotes and his death as a weapon against Nintendo and respectful fans in a disgusting and disturbing way that disturbed a bunch of innocent people online and blaming it on Shuntaro Furukawa. Shuntaro Did not make the paid online membership it was long planned before he even became the CEO. Also Reggie was around during the switch development as well He was in interviews about it. including the online membership interviews. A lot of people are not thinking clearly nowadays or remembering stuff properly. The one thing that needs to stop is people using Iwata's death. Using his death and his quote isn't making the situation better it's just making the people using his death and his quote look like heartless disgusting people that don't even have an actual life whatsoever. We need to move on and let Iwata sleep in peace.
I agree man. I never realized how impactful Iwata was until more recently. The energy the man brought to the company was unmatched. Not to mention him and Reggie's synergy were great. Lately it just feels like Nintendo has lost its charm in many aspects.
"In my heart, I am a gamer". Man, that still tugs on my heart strings. I think it always will. That's exactly why he was so loved, and connected with his (and Nintendo's) fans. I miss him so much.
You know what?. Screw sony or microsoft. Mr iwata was that light of hope of nintendo and showed that games are made to be fun, thats why nintendo is one of the best videogame companys, because its for everyone to play and have fun. Iwata saved games like earthbound, my favorite snes game, this game teached me that love is the melody we all can sing. Rest in peace satoru, you reached your dream, and now you see that dream making other and wonderful dreams
Bruh.... You are legit using his death as in excuse against the online membership in a disgusting and disturbing way That's humiliating a lot of innocent people online.
I still can't get over Mr. Iwata's passing. He's my hero! He gave me the best childhood I could've asked for, along with millions of others. May he have found peace and bliss, wherever he is. You'll always be in my heart Mr. Iwata.
his name "was" reggie. he said it in a past tense like he annihilated him. Lol Mr Iwata might be the greatest boss of all time. never took life way too seriously. loves to have a laugh and give his employees a rib. he will be forever missed. I still consider him the greatest programmer of all time.
With today nonsense in gaming industry. Iwata quote has become much more clear. Only the developers with the gamer heart, will deliver good game. Those sbi, dei are not . Therefore, Nintendo will be successful as long as they follow Iwata path.
“In my heart...
...I am a gamer.”
His words still echo through my mind. :)
And he had the courage to say that at a time when gamers were so stigmatized and hated that governments were openly talking about banning games and pulling things from shelves.
It's been 3 years since his passing, I hope he is resting easily knowing Nintendo is doing well again.
Rest In peace, we understand even now...
Nintendo is now
*Dissapointing*
Iwata would not be very excited

@@rmissing3361 What happened? Was this about the C&D's from Nintendo?
Let's be honest: Things were just never the same with Nintendo when Iwata passed and Reggie left.
