If you can score down a man, then of course you can analyze the game. Why go to 5 at the back? Why take Balogun out? Why not play Musah or Aaronson? Why play CCV?

Sure, Uruguay can start their B-Team….but that means instead of Nuñez up top, they’re still starting Luis Suarez (even though he’s 37, that’s still one of the greatest strikers ever….AND he’s still in good form (16 games played, 12 goals for Inter Miami). I had no idea that dude was on the Uruguay roster until I saw they were subbing him in. 😅
Both Ecuador and Perú were also a man down when they lost their respective matches to Venezuela and Canada and I didn't hear so much whining from their pundits. You can't seriously refuse to analyze the match due to a red card. Also, Carrasquilla was ejected as well during the last few minutes, so it wasn't exactly 80+ minutes that the U.S. were down a man.
Ok just to address the guy who goes for US in a fair manner. I think what the people want from you is to give credit for Panama to score those 2 goals to win the game. Being down a man doesn’t mean they get automatic goals. They still need to score them. I understand what you mean, it’s a different game at 11v10, but Panama did amazing to not crumble under the 1-0 lead the US had. They did really well to manage the situation . If you look at 1 of the plays of the goals the US team had half their squad playing defense and didn’t man mark . Panama did great
The only way USA has a chance against Uruguay is if they decide to play with their bench. If Uruguay plays with starters, the game is over by halftime. Uruguay is a Tier 1 team USA is Tier 2.

Love your guys' pod but I respectfully disagree. You can't claim with confidence that the U.S. wins the game if not for the red card. Playing with 10 was brutal but the match did not hinge on that one moment and Weah can't be the sole scapegoat for the USMNT's failure.
You definitely can analyze a 11 v 10 game though, it's not that different from regular analysis, you just talk about what you saw and how the teams adapted. Just like you would if an NBA star is suffering through an injury during a playoff game but continues to play because the team absolutely needs them. Is the game fair? No. But you can analyze it.
