I listened to this a few times before the obvious finally clicked: the harmony has more than just friendly relations with Moments Notice, Ha. I like it, who else would have thought to do that?
Brilliant work.
Jerry is an unsung giant ! You best believe he is the truth!
amazing solo!
It's the reharmonization that makes it particularly hip. Gonna steal it. Thanks!
Naughty 😉
You can really hear the Joe Henderson influence in this solo! Thanks Remi!
Gonz strikes again!!
absolutely amazing!
Remi,
Thank you very, very much for permission to download this transcription! I really appreciate it.
Best regards,
Richard Pisani (an old-timer who loves music)
Crazy, Gonz
this is moments notice changes with major third chords apart but he play just friends sort of melody
The PDF version is available on my website www.remibolduc.com
I thought this sounded like Coltrane changes. Thought it was giant steps for a sec. This reminds me of how Robert Glasper put the melody Maiden Voyage onto the changes of Everything in its Right Place by Radiohead.
The Flying Nimbus There is that major third chords sequence yes ! At the end with the min chords going up by major 3rd. Maybe Just Friends meet Moment's Notice and Giant Steps !
Sounds like there’s changes from moments notice
Yes that's what it is at the beginning of the sections. Then, there is different changes. Bergonzi sounds amazing as usual.
This dude can play!!!! But one can readily hear and see where is influence lies..............ALL TO THE GREAT MASTER, JOHN COLTRANE!!!!
Is it possible to download this transcription?
go on my website www.remibolduc.com under transcription
Why are these the same changes as Trane's Moments Notice? It's not just me, is it?
You are right. The beginning is based on Moment's Notice. Not the whole thing right ? But that exactly where the changes do come from.
