Yeah, this was sort of like a Captain Planet episode and crossover. I enjoyed it! But i was crying in the ending when Morty and Plantina broke up. This was so heartbreaking.

I feel the thing that separates all of his prior relationship from planetina was that he truly loved her for her. And vice versa. All the others were just teenage crushes or using some kind of sci if tool to make things easier eg. Removing toxins or a save button. Whereas this was just HIM no special confidence tool or childlike crush just pure love… and that’s what makes it so much worse when we see what she becomes when unchained and how much they cannot be together even though they both wanted to

Morty’s development and combat growth has been steady since season 3, but feel bad for the guy, he just wanted to be away from Ricks crazy shit and be with a genuinely good person, but he got caught up in it anyway Sooner or later he gonna be the Rickest Morty

Captain Planet as an eco-terrorist is a really interesting idea for an antagonist. I like the little conversation they had with the miners, and love the detail that she was missing the “heart” aspect that kept Captain Planet from forcibly changing the planet for the better.
Morty shouldn't have broken up with her IMO.. I mean, he knows Rick.. And lets face it, Rick's responsible for orders of magnitude more deaths than anything she might do. Plus she loved Morty enough that he could probably have reached her, if he tried harder, and kept her from going out of control anymore.. Now she's just another loose end out there, like Jessica.. Which is starting to seem like this season's theme.. lol

Morty is the man this episode. It is sad that it hurts him, but he did the right thing. He would continue the relationship even though the love is not there. He broke Planets heart. Just terrible how he says ' I loved her' and seeing him break down. He knew what he had to do as much as it killed him. I did not really like story B with Rick and Summer, but they were some laughs in their segment. The growth of these characters is amazing.
Beth is a good mother when she needs to be. Everyone knows 1st breakups are hard. Seeing Beth just hold Morty as he cries is honestly one the saddest moments in the series to me.
Oh my god, I just realized that the problems throughout the episode is because it all lacked the the key ingredient, heart. Without true love and compassion one will never truly find happiness
14:09 don't forget that one episode with the retry button where morty meets a girl and they fall in love and spend probably years together and then get in a plain crash. i don't think we ever even learned her name because it all took place in a montage. but yeah we got to see a lot of his relationship with planetena here.
