The Sweet meat street is one of the must visit places in Kozhikode.
The name Sweet meat originated from the Kozhikkoden Halwa selling there.
The British referred to the halwa as 'sweet meat' and thus the name stuck. We malayalis calls the street as 'Mittai Theruvu'.
