  • In this video I caught my biggest wild brown ever on a size 20 zebra midge. This was a huge accomplishment to me and I am so happy that I finally caught this fish. I also caught another really nice wild brown as well in the video. The Bushkill Creek proved to be one of the best streams in Eastern PA and I will definitely be back. Check out lively legz fly fishing to see what flies I used today. If you enjoyed this video give me a thumbs up and please subscribe to my channel!

Definitely a stone fly. I grew upon the Bushkill and little Bushkill. That was 50-60 years ago. The last time I fished wit my dad was just downstream from where you were. I am in Colorado now on the Arkansas river.

That first bug looked like a black stonefly, they usually hatch in February. It’s really cool to see them when there’s snow on the ground

Well done, congrats on the PB Brown. Haven't fished the Bushkill in many years. I used to fish it up in Resica Falls.

Oh by the way, when trying to take the picture in the net, keep the fish's head and mouth in the water. That was at they can breathe.

Awesome video, enjoyed your successful trip on the Bushkill. The only advice I would give you is get a better system going with your net like a magnet hook up with a bungy hooked to your net. You shouldn't have to use your reel while also holding your net. Otherwise, you did a great job with this video, look forward to seeing more. Tight Lines

Those fish are not in the water when their head and gills are out of the water. You had them out of the water way too long!

“I hear this is a pretty pressured stream..” so I think I’ll name it and post my public TH-cam video..
Honest to god I’m really happy you had success and had a great time. Seriously. But please think about how that one comment, combined w naming the stream and posting the video, are pretty strongly imbalanced with that.
Many of us have sadly watched the stream and trout population succumb to anglers (not seemingly like yourself at all) who don’t have the respect for the fishery. Not withstanding the concrete plant upstream who’s reeked havoc on the flows.
Best of luck and continued success.

Nice haul the first fly in the video the big one looked like a Dobson fly the nymph stage would be a hellgramite. The ones on your hood looked like a tan caddis. The black flies in the saucon creek video were black caddis flies. Hit me up sometime we to like the same streams. Be well!

If all the legacy nuisance dams were removed, it would be a STELLAR wild brown trout stream. It grew the nicest fish in the Lehigh valley when I was there, 20+ years ago. Also, as long as the limestone quarry's water pumps don't fail.

Keep em wet. Whole fish in the water, take a pic, release em and then talk bout the fishing part of it. That big fish was out for 1:20, not good
