That petulant UBI discussion was hilarious. Two grown men posturing about their useless masters degrees and neither of them understand how this wave of inflation was caused.
A certain Austrian painter understood WHO'S system was causing inflation and other crippling economic distress, and he also understood WHO was behind the degeneracy that was so pervasive in Weimar Era Germany, especially in Berlin. It was no "economic miracle" but an "economic revolution" when he removed Germany from the international hsiwej banking system and removed swej from positions of power and social influence; and just like that Germany went from a hopeless, debt ridden, high suicide rate, demoralized and degenerate nation to the most prosperous and advanced nation in the world within just a couple of years of the swej being removed from positions of power and influence. The economic system used by NS Germany was the REAL reason for WW2 as it deprived the international banking class from being able to fleece the German people with a usurious central bank in Germany, like the banks that threw Germany and the rest of the world into the Great Depression. Those banksters in the so-called "democracies", together with their "marxist" brethren in the USSR, feared that NS Germany's economic model would spread to other nations therefore the had their ideological hirelings, FDR & Churchill, to instigate war with Germany at all costs. Today the entire world, except for North Korea and Iran (and maybe a few others) have a Rothschild central bank.

It isn’t just domestic U.K. policy though. The U.K. - and all countries - is impacted by the economic policy decisions of the United States. That is because it is the centre of commerce and debt markets. The U.K’s £500bn in Monopoly money pales into insignificance relative to the $10 Trillion that the Fed printed. THAT is what diluted spending power and what has fuelled inflation.

@@edwardcumpstey9061 My friend, the sole ‘cause’ of inflation IS the printing of money. It has the effect of diluting the circulating value - your “purchasing power” - as markets increase price points in order to rebalance demand. The concept of ‘increased demand’ is NOT a cause of inflation but is a consequence of fake inflated wealth. ‘Increased production’ is nonsense. From a business perspective, monetising scarcity is the golden goose. As for interest rates - historically, rises correlate to rising inflation; again, consequence NOT cause. Why do they rise? UBI is an interesting idea that economists and politicians have discussed for many decades. It would need a lot of careful thought, making it age-related etc. It MUST be low enough for working age people that they would need to do some work to have any quality of life, even if it's 10 hours a week. The guiding principle is that doing any amount of work is never disincentivised. The PAYE tax system becomes simplified because all income is taxed, no allowances are required. Some argue for flat single rate tax. The pension issue is dealt with at a stroke! There are no pensions because... UBI. The existing NI contribution is nothing but a con and an additional tax levy.
So they want to dish out money that the earners earn to the non workers? That's very antisocial isn't it? Charley you do have a ideology and you do push it.. like i guess all humans do. Be proud of it.
wouldnt a degree in political economy be more useful than a philosophy one in a discussion about different financial practices?
You don’t need to possess a degree to understand the consequential effect of inflating the money supply.
Yes, but admitting that would hurt Charlie's ego, of which this entire channel and his fans are dedicated to preserving it.
Quakers would be rolling in their graves if they saw that flag
In another 20 years Charlie you will see things very differently. The best university is the one of life. No university can teach you this!!!!!
Glad you are consistent Charlie
What a lovely and friendly cat made my day thanks Charlie and Laura . 💖
Halifax BS. Why the revolting, huge, gay flag? What's that got do with banking??
Why is he debating UBI... Think society is about to change with Ai taking over soon more than anything that will impact what jobs people do for a living
When AI inevitably replaces all human labour we will have a UBI
Ideology: "a set of beliefs or principles, especially one on which a political system, party, or organization is based"
Holding a non-ideological stance simply means to understand the origins of, and actively address the beliefs or principles arrived at through ideology.
Manchester university did him dirty.
Precisely
@7:00 I like your vids but please don’t speak to that man like that, came across like bullying, actually felt sorry for him.
*Guy has degree in political economics*
Charlie: “I have a masters in philosophy.”
HAHAHAHAH!
That guy must have been like “…ah, he’s special needs.”
So they want to dish out money that the earners earn to the non workers? That's very antisocial isn't it? Like you say Charlie, of course this would inflate the currency as it wouldn't be worth as much and so not just landlords but EVERYONE that sells products or services would have to increase their prices, and so everyone suffers other than the people that are rich enough for all this to not make an impact on their lives. How about these fools create jobs and fuel the economy by creating useful products and services that can be sold worldwide instead?
Well if I had more money I could go to college full time x do a proper course.
If people choose to bum around x waste their lives - up to them

Dear sir, I'm in my 50's and I get what you do. I get fucking annoyed when people who should know better accuse you of just "doing it for the tik tok generation". If I don't like what you post I'll just turn it off. What you do is give an angle on what's really happening and if the viewer doesn't like it they can stop watching. If they can't then they are breaking all of their own rules of morality.
Your valid point is undermined by the picture of Charles Manson in your profile 🤣
@@tombg555 OOF!! Well spotted, Sherlock. 👍 🤣

Almost all of his interactions are deliberately escalated because he knows it will result in a higher view count.

@@rick9698 Where do you get this information from.
Big pros & cons to the UBI...but if it was £1600 every month like they've said I could stay full time and get another £1700 or go part time and pursue my fishing more seriously.
And... the problem with that is half a work force working will create higher product prices nulling the whole point in your dream world living standards.
The King Charles Cavalier Spaniel reference was nice
I liked the woman walking fine with a crutch 😂😂😂
Having worked on equality and diversity matters over the years, I think the overuse of the rainbow flag by corporate companies, is just a 'Tick Box' exercise and nothing more. The spectrum of equality and diversity is a far wider range and hard to tackle, so a few cross-referenced tick boxes, is a copout on dealing with the many issues of inequality.
Red is an angry colour, that's why it has been discouraged in education for marking. When the Landlease sign has an angry, finger pointing 'Do Not', wrote on it, it would make me want to do the opposite, being the rebel that I am. 😁
Good stuff Charlie lad!

yeah no

Wonderful idea in principle terrible in practice. Not just the thing with landlords but where is the money going to come from. The tax take isn't anywhere near enough to give all of us £400 a month let alone £1000 (or more)
Agreed. But this UBI system is based on MMT (Modern Monetary Theory) and not the generally current 'mixed economy' system. This UBI proposal also goes hand-in-hand with CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) and by extention 'cashless societies'. It's a whole new ball game.... and it's well in the pipelines...
The monopoly board twosome didn't hold a candle to shouty TIC TOC mom earlier

Omg the undateables reference deserves a 👍
Both Universal Basic Income and Rent Controls have failed and been withdrawn wherever they have been tried. For example, Berlin's rental housing supply was crashed by 41% following rent controls and Ireland's rental housing stock has been left at an all time low with a spike in rents following their failed "rent pressure lane" experiment.
So according to the UBI lady, inflation has soared, the economy has tanked & it's all down Liz Truss & Kwasi Kwarteng? It had absolutely nothing to do with all Rishi's furlough money from the magic money tree. Right. Got it😂👍
i must have missed when you got a glamorous assistant Charlie!

Rent control risks restricting supply of properties to rent. A lot of thought needs to be given before bringing any controls in.
Universal Basic Inflation, bloody stupid idea. And with Rent Controls there would be reduced property to let and more people on the streets.

Charlie wants to remove social justice but will happily take welfare for his kids. 292k subs doesn't feed them.
That UBI lad was hangry and passive-aggressive to the max.
Did the owners of Poundland not say the name out loud before ordering signs?
UBI will only work under a programable currency. It will also be the permanent lockdown of financial freedom.
Inflation as nothing to do with furlough or unlimited massive immigration. PS.. I am mad

Where did the money come from that the government gave out via furloughs? I'll give you a hint - Government adding new currency into the money supply, making YOUR pound less valuable.

ASB injunctions are dealt with by civil courts. If you breach such an injunction, it's contempt of court, which is criminal. It's still dealt with by the civil court that issued the injunction, but using the criminal procedures.
