    Slimmer tube is more effective. Is a textured surface versus a smooth surface have an effect. Would 4 shorter slim spinning tubes propel a boat more efficiently than 1 tube that’s 4x the height?

    El primer diseño me parece excelente para aplicarlo a una bomba de succión del agua. Aprovechando ese torque ya no se necesita hacer reducciones ya que en este caso interesa que tenga torque y poca velocidad

      Yes, you are right! Most people only think of it as a wind turbine. In fact, it can be regarded as a wind motor that can produce large torque and only requires a small motor and energy. Torque can be easily increased by extending the struts, without any reduction gearbox.

      ​@@pedrosolismunoz2688Glad to hear you're implementing this, Here are some reminders that I think are important : Since the rotor must rotate in opposite directions on the windward and leeward sides, the inertia of the rotor should be as small as possible to reduce energy consumption.     You are adding rotational energy to the system from the motors speeding it up. There’s not enough evidence for the magnus effect causing the speed up

      I believe it can be used as a wind turbine though not proven yet. As long as the design is optimized and the wind is strong enough

      @@SmartServo_org yes spinning is necessary ,but not necessary to be motor driven , the entire turbine can be driven via a drag turbine while the tubes can be spiraled for rotational direction as the drag turbine throws the tubes into the wind

      @@wadeboyce4793 Drag blades cannot rotate faster than the wind so are not suitable for driving the rotor, and the rotor must change direction frequently.

      A drag turbine on the same ccentral shaft can spin rotors on long arms such that they are experiencing greater than windspeeds.

      @@SmartServo_org in vawt turbines its all about the wind directional catchers, and the wind drum surfaces, yes wind spins the turbine, turbine does not spin the wind
