Ive been watching your channel ethan for years even when its covid, so far i learned a lot from u,you r doing a good job both cash and tourney, hello from indonesia
GG, Ethan!!! Little story. It's day 1 of the Arizona State Championship, $1.5 mil. It's level 3. I have 22. BB opens 2300. I had a 1k chip on top of my two 10k chips. I look down and grab two chips, thinking it was two 1k chips, and toss in 11k as I said I call 😂. Naturally this is a raise, which was half his stack. He re-jams and I'm forced to call now since I put so much in. He has AA. I said deuces never looses 😅. Flop comes 2 10 10 xx, I hold. Day 2 second hand and I'm short with 70k. UTG opens 3x, I jam Q 10hh and say good luck me. Flop 10 x 10 x J. He had AJ. This relates to a couple hands you were in.
Hello Ethan, it's nice to watch you again running deep in a tournament. Congrats on making the money and getting into the final table. I'm sorry you didn't win the tournament. Ending up being 4th is pretty damn good. You did great and you tried your best. I hope next time will be better. Peace ✌️
That 73s hand I felt you could've bluff-raised on the turn. A K was well within your calling range and maybe you could've folded off a weak A or even a competing flush draw?
Put those Ls in perspective bro. You cashed 100k. More than a lot of ppl will ever see at one time. I’d absolutely trade my financial situation for yours lol. You’re living the dream, playing a game for a living. Super proud of you and your growth. Until the next one!
Wanted to tell you this. I was a hater ever since i discovered you losing the million, but i have since reconsidered my opinon. Getting 4th in these types of tournment is not a "lucky" thing and takes skill. Good job!
I mean I understand your sentiment but getting 4th in a tournament like this is 1000% a lucky thing lol long term tournament results are a sign of skill, doing well in any tournament is zero indication of skill. With that said, rampage has very good tournament skills lol
I'll bite the bullet and ask, why is the line to flat call AA but to jam with A8s one hand later in this scenario? I understand that just winning the pot jamming with A8s is great and that you pray to make more money with AA rather than jamming and getting a fold. But since bigstack already 3-bet wouldn't the chance of him calling a jam from a smaller stack in this scenario be likely?
There is no way Q9o with 8bb is a call against a shove in the blinds. You can shove it but you CANT call it. Especially when there is huge ICM pressure and everyone else has 8-15bb. GG Ethan.
Was there not a lot of people in the tournament? I heard you say you're on the final table on level three. Seems a little soon to be on the final table doesn't it?
The tournament was hybrid, meaning it started online and when they reached the FT, they all flew out to play it in person with the stacks they had before the break
I played in my first ever poker tournament last weekend and won! I guess watching poker on TH-cam helps! I took some tips from Ethan when it came down to the end and played with my balls! So thank you for that Ethan.

You're too all in happy man. All in with the Ace 7 suited, just not necessary. If you just got to the flop, and then raised with the draw, queen 9 dude would have folded.
@@briansweeney6733 That's a very common reply from people, usually people who still live in their parents basement and make less then $30K year. The fact is, he's not as good of a poker player as he could be. He's very call happy and very all in happy in tournaments. In cash he plays with a lot more thought going into each hand. If he applied the same logic in tournaments, he'd win many more he's played in.
@@bertrandrustled9433 I'd rather be a mouth breather than someone like you, who should not be breathing at all. Every breath you take, is a huge waste.
How is pockets 3s all in and at risk in a chip lead pot with many shorter stacks???… I guess ICM really is for poor people… or more bad play getting rewarded
7:30 why are you turning your hand into a bluff here? It’s a rainbow board so there are no practical draws but wheel gutters or pair+wheel gutters. And you’re exposing yourself to get bluffed off against those same hands. Easy check back and call any normal size bet on the river. You’d spend the same amount of chips but at least you’d get to go to showdown and have a chance of winning with a bluff catch

Yeah calling turn there for half pot seems bad with a low flush draw on a paired board
Folding out a weak A on a double paired board where the kicker doesn't play.
