As a Millennial guy, i enjoyed this channel since you're very mature than some of the adults in my age range and older. I support all my Gen Zs, Millennials, Gen X and late Baby Boomer friend. I have more of Gen Z, Gen X and Baby Boomer personality in me. I learned a lot from all generations of people since I'm an introvert.
I'm a 24 yr BM who grew up on the Southside of Chicago in the wild 100s. I used to been pulled over by CPD and got arrested for DUI at age 19 and fast driving. I had so many traffic tickets but I paid them off by myself. I would treat Stony Island like a racetrack. I'm glad that I changed from what I used to do and maturing. I still drive fast but with caution. My wife and I was pulled over by Winnetka IL PD in her hometown for driving too fast on Green Bay Road heading back home but the officer was cool and that was my wake up call. I'm a new subscriber to the channel. My wife and I was born in 2000 when 9/11 happened when we was only 1. We had to fight like hell back in elementary and high school. My wife would tell you her story of getting suspended from highschool since we grew up with Gen-X parents who gave us an old school straightforward message.
You are so wise beyond your years! You figured out so many things I did not realize until I was in my thirties.😂 I think you have nothing but success ahead of you.
Damn, Del is based! So refreshing to see someone finally going against the current toxic trend of just ignoring failure due to misinterpretations on what it means. Next up is to just make a video explaining that comparison is not bad by itself, and it is just a matter of extracting the great things about it (learning from the steps of others, learning limitations on your current path, admiration from the others' success, and more things). “If you don’t know, the thing to do is not to get scared, but to learn.”
Thank you for sharing your testimony Del. I grew up in the northern suburbs of Winnetka, IL where the Home Alone house is located at. My husband grew up in the Southside of Chicago in the wild 100s. He is very street smart and I'm very suburban smart. We both learned from each other. I was born deaf and he's a hearing person. He learn ASL and sign language within a year. Me, my sister and her husband have to wear cochlear implants so we can hear since we're deaf. I was in the same boat as you but I had to stay strong in this journey.
It is comforting to know that there are others who experience the same feelings and thoughts as us. I know it is silly to assume we're alone in how we feel and think, but for some reason it is just so nice to hear others have these experiences too. Thank you for sharing!
Overthinking everything is always the worst. I've always envied the people who can just switch off their brains and not think about something anymore at will.
I'm an overthinker as well. It encapsulates everything in my life: stuff, the economy, people, relations, myself, and this comment. It's second nature, and I can't stop it. Anytime I try to "let it go," it just comes back.
I thought I knew everything about life, but then I watched this video and now I feel like I've just been enlightened by a deity. Not every day are you enlightened by a random in a car.
"If we can learn from our mistakes and not let them rob us of our boldness or hope, then we can grow." I learned this from my religious (Buddhism). I have experience from making mistakes and being a failure. It's good because for a lesson, and later you will eventually making an accomplishment.
Ah, Del! I’m a classical organist. I went to Westminster Choir College and have been playing in, singing in, conducting, and accompanying handbell and vocal choirs for years 😊. Make mistakes loud and proud!
@@diaryofdelilah your very welcome. Keep up the good and hard work. If you are not willing to learn, you stop yourself, if your willing to learn no one can stop you.
I'm a perfectionist too, many times I noticed that I spend too much time on a specific part of a topic and I forget about progressing, but I found a solution for this. Bookmarking. In a literal and in a metaphorical way. If you organize your bookmarked pages and even keywords, thoughts, things you want to understand or complete better later on, you don't feel guilty for leaving something in an unfinished state, because you provided a chance to do it later, until then, you can care about progress instead. :) Many times I find out later that the thing which I wanted to waste too much time on was not that important for the whole picture as I first believed. Getting consistently ahead is more favourable than spending too much time on a specific detail, but always make it possible to do so.
Happy New Year's everyone. My advice would be enjoy your 20s while you still can. I would be turning 42 in April 10. I was born and raised in Memphis and I used to been a bouncer at the bars but I left that business a few years ago. I was born in 83. Time and years are flying by fast.
I like how you stumble on things that puts you on a good trajectory, I'm also wondering if your first program was "Hello, World!" and how you reacted to it executing
Del you are so much more then you know. I see and know who and what you really are . If you only knew. Wow would that answer all your questions. Your Vibe Attracts your Tribe. Love your Soul Del
I've long said that you learn more from failing once, than succeeding the first time, a hundred times. Failing makes you dig to find out why. Just, y'know, before you attempt to beat the odds, make sure you can survive the odds beating you. :D
You might not pick apart yourself anymore for your failures and inadequacies, but you sure as hell pick apart all the men you could potentially date. :) #gogirl
It very well could play a role into me being introverted. And the gym is going pretty good, but my health issues are holding me back somewhat which sucks. I'm trying my best to do what I can though!
@@diaryofdelilah Health issues are "somewhat" holding you back? Sounds like someone is getting the upper hand! Remember even if you do a simple workout in the gym that's more than if you never went at all. Plus I was happy to see you didn't go to a Planet Fitness lol
Home schooled people seem more creative in a healthy way. Play hand bells. Sing in choir. Make youtube videos. So nice to have those experiences. When life gets hard or monotonous you can look back and be thankful you did those things. Pick them back up in retirement, even. Cool pick necklace.
Dude I have to ask, what's the pic on you're necklace, I have one similar that I caught at a concert years ago... That said I had to wrestle a buch lesbian for it...
It is from Hot Topic, it's merch from my favorite band Sleep Token. I wish it was an actual Sleep Token pic from one of their concerts! Whose pic did you catch?
Damn I didn't know you could buy them as merch... Mines homemade with a dremmel, a keyring loop and a bit of solder to keep it from falling off. I tried listening to Sleep Token however could never get into them. I was always more of a Ghost guy to be honest. And Ive caught a few, the one on my chain is a Hammerfall one, I got one from Glory Hammer and gave it too a mate because he was a super fan and I also got one of Geoff Tate.
@ They’re unfortunately not legitimate but I still thought the necklace looked cool and it’s my favorite band. And that’s really cool! I hope I can catch one from a concert someday!

But now it's been a while for me feeling that way. I can always count on Jesus he's always my father he guides me of life... You probably think I'm nuts?? Lol

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Failure is just a stepping stone towards success.
Hard to make lemonade when nothing else presents an opportunity.

In a Peanuts strip Charlie Brown once said “Adversity is what makes us strong.”
It is so true!
I have suffered from imposter syndrome for so long
It is not easy suffering with it...It's so easy to be too hard on ourselves.
Do you think being homeschooled has played into being introverted in any way? Also how's the gym routine going?

Where is song of the day?
I didn't know whether or not people liked the song of the day or not, but if it's something you enjoy I could start doing the song of the day again!
Cool videos keep it up! Also hope your visit at the doctor helps you out.
