Because, my friend, they fear that those losing players may be card counters, and (if that is the case) when those players play long enough, they would take money from the casinos.
Although a lot of times casinos can't tell between a real winning player, and someone who just has random plays.

@@GhomezAnonimous I wasn't talking about the end split. It was mentioned that while the players were working the tables, they were paid an hourly rate. I was just curious what they were paid per hour.
I think teaching people blackjack in the way they do at the end isn't right. They've realised they can't make money playing blackjack so are making money off people who want to make money. It's sad.
