Winning with Faerie Mastermind - the card created after Yuta Takahashi who defeated him two years ago - is just amazing and adds to the legend of this world champion title. GG JEoldred !
So nice to have met the champion Jean-Emmanuel as we were seat neighbors on the plane to France. Just learned about the game and wish him many more winnings in the future.
A small bit of feedback if I may. While browsing the site to find player deck lists, I happened to see a thumbnail for who won the whole tournament "lifting the trophy X player". This was at the beginning of my journey watching this tournament, the whole thing spoiled. Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but it would be nice to be spoiler free somehow for at least a few days. There's got to be a way. I know this playlist has the spoilers but that is easy to ignore, a random giant picture on their site underneath the deck lists is just asking for a spoilage.
JE notre champion !!! Champion du monde par équipes, vice champion du monde individuel et maintenant.... le boss ultime. Prochaine étape : Hall of Fame !!!! Et big up à la Sheoldred de Quimper !!!!
cant see anything :( its the world championship, how come you don't have any camera showing the cards close up? totally ruins it for everyone that is not a magic super fan
@@paulom5986 learn to read buddy, the other guy said he remembered him getting beat back in the day as if it was super long ago. It was only like 3-4 years ago, I wouldn't consider that back in the day unless you are a teenager or a kid
Happy for JED. I was there. It's too bad though that we didn't get a good 5 game match, but you get that sometimes. You could tell JED didn't feel great about it, but you'll take it esp when it means the tourney win. Amazing weekend overall
It's hilarious that the announcers were so amazed with the game 1 win and talking about how great he played. What actually happened- Draw skrelv into Sheoldred, game win. What a ton of skill to draw a completely broken card and one that protects it.
Yugioh Player Here: this was more than easy enough to watch as the commentator did an excellent job. Admittedly, the shorter turns really help with that. Question: why are some cards in Black and White (I noticed when the Japanese player asked the Italian about what land he had, and the Italian flipped it upside down to show him that it was the same card)? Is that a rarity thing or a misprint? I’m genuinely curious.
@MiguelMartinon, that's a land that can tap for both white and black mana. Every set has some lands that can tap for two colors (with some downside), and, while lands themselves are colorless, the card is printed in both colors to remind players what colors it taps for.
I play MTG for 10 years but retired a while ago. Now i'm trying to play again but i don't know the cards and i don't know what's going on in this finals. Can you please, put more thumbnails for the cards, enlarge the cards they use it, etc? It's hard to understand and enjoy the game with that interface. Hire a U/X Designer or something 😂
Is there a reason why they switched back to actual paper play in Worlds? Yes of course it is a cardgame but for coverage-reasons I really liked that they played on arena. I think it was much easier to follow as a viewer.
I wish they still did larger images of each card played. Would definitely help follow the game better like we could back when PTs were a thing
Yea exactly, like a digital card image that pop up when is played
yea they just need to use arena..
@@baigpigpigagreed
They should go back to the onligame play. It has animations and also allows for a more controlled environment.
I agree! Hard to follow

I don't understand a single thing about Magic but I watch it because I'm proud of Jean-Emmanuel haha
10:17 "no way he can come back" shred + shoeldred is a devastating combo when all creature are same color on opponent side !
Thank you yet again for bringing us this coverage! Congratulations champion!

you have to know the cards to understand
Une boucherie cette finale. Bravo Jean Emmanuel. La France du magic au top
Raffine + Sheoldred is such a powerhouse! Congrats to JED for the deck choice and nice play! 🎉🎉🎉
I wonder what his immortalized card will be ?
So glad for Jean Emmanuel. It was such a pain to watch him getting crushed by Yuta Takahashi back in the day, and not he has finally got it!
That was only a few years ago you make it sound like it was 10+ years ago. But I'm happy he got another chance and won
@@CoutureThug A few years? Brother for an competitor every single tournament means a everything.

If you are a casual or new to this game.. this perspective is unacceptable. You have to know these cards to understand what is going on.
I knew that wasn’t just me
Absolutely
I have only been playing for a year, and I recognize some of the card names, but do not understand the strategy.
Really well play by JED, though their hands and draws were absolutely flawless

POR FIN, TANTAS FINALES ALCANZADAS. UN GRAN JUGADOR. FELICIDADES
ahhh sheoldred the apocalypse!! invoke despair did nothing wrong
In new in the MAGIC game and don’t understand like 90% but Jean Emanuel demolished his opponent. Damn!

Trying to get back into Magic after some time away… this was impossible to follow without card images I could actually read.
So respectable behaviour from both players! Really enjoyed and congratz!
Thay mulligan to 5 really hurts
Unfortunately ,he must have not read the famous and recent book called "Ces mull cinq qui vous réussissent"
Paper!! Finally, real magic
Ever since hasbro’s business influences, I’d rather just watch old school and premodern.thanks for the games though! Coverage was amazing quality.

Two type mana cards

@@therealax6 thank you
the fact that they don't include the winner interview in this Playlist feels bad
Man it’s hard to see the cards. I haven’t tuned into a broadcast in a long time. Seems harder to see the cards. Disappointing I was excited to watch.
Can’t believe the Esper deck won!

Esper legends always been the best.
The first round lasted til like 8:40
This is a slobber knocker

bruh its impossible to tell what cards their playing XD
17:10 I thought you had to give the sheoldred protection before you declare attacks?
before they declare blocks. attacks and blocks are different steps
Bien joué JiRox un max !!
YES!!! NICE GAME BOYS !!!
That card sleeves they are using seems to make the cards inside foil? Does anyone know that product?
I think it's simply gloss sleeves reflecting some of the strong lights in the room
Was pulling for Kazune, but thats just how it goes
Jean-Emmanuel was playing his Darkslick Shores untapped while controlling two other lands already. They missed it - he shouldn't be able to do that.
Le boss Jirock, plus que le pro tour et il aura tout gagné !
Please tell me the rather enthusiastic announcer regularly plays EDH 😂
Deserved. Amazing player and humble human. invasion99
Whomever thought for old sakes it's good to go back to paper, then also make sure you can show it on screen in some way, thx
maybe this is a noob question… but is there a reason they make so little eye contact with one another …? is it a respect thing ? or…?
Same reason poker players wear glasses. People have tells and giving your opponents as little info as possible is the way to win.
They are busy thinking many turns ahead and calculating moves.
Nice
Such a complicated game 😔
lebron james could never match up to this, even in his prime.
Italian and Japan players forever!
Sheoldred too strong.
I'm squinting my eyes the entire time, trying to watch this on my phone. the foils making it even more annoying to focus in on.
This type of transmission is boring as hell. We can't see their hands, we can't not read all the cards. Far from being entertaining.
just like arena this is so unfriendly to anyone who doesnt know efverything!!!!! ..... show some card info when they drop cards
They should change the mulligan rule, loosing to mulligan is just irritating!
sad that no one can play the game without blue.
cocorico
Dont have enough money to diplay card whrn they ate played. Unwatchable when your a newbie
horrible to watch, just play on arena next time...
MTG is all about one deck and everyone plays it. No originality
2 of the 3 games won by mulligans...
It's like playing the CL final and you start with a red card.
Online play is way more fun to watch. This is so boring.
