A guide for each character in a class regarding their strengths and weaknesses would be super, super helpful. It would also aid people in knowing how to counterpick in ranked if people knew what each god does well
Yeah, it's a great idea Mast. I personally feel that masny peo0le play certain gods a lot, but don't necessarily understand all of their strengths and weaknesses, me included. So, it would be great if someone made a video about that for many of the gods.
I am a new Smite player coming from 8 years of playing League of Legends; I cannot express how much it would help me to have a video guide that goes through each class explaining strengths and weaknesses of the gods, even with years of previous MOBA experience. Honestly, the biggest things that I wish games like these had from the community were more basic guides and tutorials, because unlike other games, the MOBA genre is still incredibly new to most players. Even with the knowledge I already had going into Smite, I still get completely lost watching a video when it comes to terminology and gods specific to Smite. The amount of times I pause to google things when watching your videos is pretty high, so I can imagine a new MOBA player feeling even more overwhelmed when they don't know what lanes are, what the roles do, why solo lane is always on a specific side, why the jungler starts at speed, trading, etc. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. I do want to say that your videos are great and your attitude is very refreshing to see in the competitive community. I found a few other Smite TH-camrs who seemed to have good game knowledge, but yours stood out for how you treat other players with the utmost respect. This is the most longwinded comment I've ever made, but you deserve to be recognized! Keep making great content and I can't wait to see what's next.
I would like the video series. I'm looking to improve at smite and having some more knowledge about the gods would be great, since learning each one myself is a long process
Sounds like a really good idea ! I think people prefer your content because of how you describe what you're doing and why. So adding to that would be great imo. Also can't wait to try this Rat Strat later lol
@@paulprice6726 this was literally 2 years ago. the webs only killed the left small and I took the blue. at 3:43 I faked going for my blue, went to enemy blue and took it, and turned around and got my own blue, which is why I came back from the jungle on that side.
I think the God overview would be good, especially since it's coming to switch and there's gonna be new players, and you may shed some light on god's tactics some arent aware of.
Just wanted to say I love your videos both for information as well as entertainment. Also I love the idea of you doing the guide videos you mentioned here, especially coming back from a long Smite hiatus I'm very rusty and that would help me hit the ground running. Keep it up!
Awesome strat! I’ll have to try that out now. I love stomping kids with rat, he’s not even that bad late game as long as you really focus on positioning
Mast, please do that series. That would be super helpful, even for someone like me who's in my 4th year playing. Sometimes I still question the best pick for the situation, and it could help introduce my buddy to Conquest.
With Smite coming to Switch in 2019, one of my friends is going to try it with me playing along to help as a season 2 vet, and him never having played a MOBA before, it'd be great to have those videos to help me get him in the knowladge. Knowing is half the battle in these games and sometimes it's hard to learn. I remember when I started playing and I thought Golden Bow was complete garbage for 4 months until I knew what it actually did. I had the worst builds too, overcapping attack speed with items... on Artemis, making her 2 a move stim only. Once I knew caps and buffs and roles and passives and pathings and abilities and items I just did better because I knew what was actually happening. I find roles and gods the hardest to explain so something like that would be a godsend.
Please do those guides I feel like your guides help beginners, people who just want to get better, and it just makes for good content. You seem to be very good at explaining why, when, and what to do. One of the biggest things I learned from you was how you use minions to gain pressure in lane, it’s long over due but thanks!
i think the idea for the video is a great one, the only problem i have right now with smite is not having a vast knowledge of what character is good in what situation/team comp. i know some gods but others i am completely lost and will never end up picking that god even though it may be the best option for my team.
Definitely enjoyed the video, and the idea you have sounds pretty good! On another note... What was that Morrigan building? I don't play much conquest anymore but that looked like a pretty unusual build.
Another thing you could think about is making a vid describing what each item does pro”s and cons of it. And for what type of situation it works best in
Just did this and dominated took the whole duo side jungle after killing mid laner (Thoth) and got his sanctuary and killed support (kumba) cleared all camps didn’t even have potions on me was 5-0 in 3min ended 16-2-5 before they surrendered love this start and I’m usually somewhat bad with rat but this helps big time
I think a video series like that would be great, Mast! Information about Smite is so hard to come by. It's been such a problem with this game, you have to dig so deep to find useful information. Just a quick request, could you limit each class to the roles they are intended for? Like Mages to mid, Assassins to jungle, etc. Of course the mage adcs should be included for adc and Ao Kuang for jungle, I would just like for solo lane to remain primarily Warriors, even though they seem not viable anymore in ANY role thanks to mages and guardians ruling the solo lane now. I have not seen a solo Warrior in your videos in a while I think.
The reason you are seeing mages and guardians in solo is because right now they are just better. Most the time you get more out of Baron Cerberus Terra or artio in team fights then with bellona erlang chaac Osiris and most other warriors. With a lot of the "new" solos being played as long as you don't throw lane and make it to late game you will help your team.
mind making a video about your point on how weird picks like nu wa adc work for pros and not in casuals? interesting topic imo and im generally curious
On Rat I run Acorn>Crusher>Jotunns>Heart Seeker> Hydras Lament> Either more pen or defense depending on how the game is going. This build usually kills anyone not tanky with a dash auto 3 auto easily.
One thing I hated about Smite was right after the SPL we'd get some Hercules or Cupid Mid with a Ymir solo and Artemis Support. Whatever the pros did, the shitty casuals tried to replicated because "Insert Pro Player Here DiD It In ThE PrOlEGuEs"
Video series sounds cool. Also, I was wondering why you think that Rat has one of the worst late games? He is, in my opinion, one of the best assassin's that's build hybrid. Arachne and Bastet have nearly non existent late games.
Oh my god please pleeeease do those in-depth character videos, I’m off to buy a time machine right now so I can just jump to the future when you have them all done so I can watch them right now. That would be suuuuper useful.
Mast I think you already have a Kali video similar to what you are suggesting, i really enjoyed that video but its quite old. I think you should definitely make some of them for season 5 and going forward into season 6. Not sure about every god at first, but you could do mostly what you play/see and mostly focus on what you see people doing wrong
Dude New sub to the channel and i love what you do. Great content, very informative, and funny commentary. Keep up the great work and i think the god overview would be great. (may want to do 2 mage vids cause there are a ton.) Also i think it would be great to have you on as a guest for Battleground of the Gods Podcast. We have similar opinions to you about the game and think it would be great to have you on. Let me know.
That idea sounds good and might catch the eyes of hirez as well but this is a big task so maybe you could try to get help from your fans or other smite youtubers but that’s a little suggestion for you to think about
Yes please I think that idea is a great ! Please do videos like that and also do videos on the lingo(language) of smite like what certain slang words means.
I would like the video series. Also it'd be great if you could emphasize why the god may only be picked in pro in a certain position when you do the guides. I know I probably won't see the impact in my games, but you have no idea how many Fenrir supports I've seen in my games. Thank God at least 1/10 worked out...

Mast that series would be super awesome. Hi from a long time fan 😊
More ranked conquest plz
Mast play league of legends please
I would love the basic overview because I just hit 30 and am furiously trying to learn characters as fast as possible and that would really help!
Wonder why i don’t get notifications from mast. looks at bell has a really loud face palm

Chris Boyd you don’t need to counterpick in ranked Bc it’s ranked lul
Yeah, it's a great idea Mast. I personally feel that masny peo0le play certain gods a lot, but don't necessarily understand all of their strengths and weaknesses, me included. So, it would be great if someone made a video about that for many of the gods.
the meta and items change too often plus new gods so every time someone tries they stop 10 gods in because it's too much
I think it's a great idea especially with crossplay and newcomers joining.
