- Harris is best known for a series of suspense novels about his most famous character, Hannibal Lecter, the most notable being 'The Silence of the Lambs'. Host Anthony Brandt is a friend, a journalist and writer himself, and adopts a conversational style in his interviews. They discuss Harris' source for creating his gothic tales, his early career as a crime reporter and writing. Harris' latest book is Cari Mora (2019) is briefly talked about ... Harris is known to be anti-interviews. As of this date, this is his first and only TV interview.
Brandt's previous LTV interviews titled variously The Literary Life, Conversations, Old Stones and Monuments, A Life In Art
I have waited such a very long time to watch a real in depth interview with Mr. Harris. Many, many thanks to the organizers of this program!
I randomly wanted to see an interview of this author, this is the only video I found and it was only posted 1 month ago as of now. Wow. Thank you. What a gentle man for the books he writes. It was a great interview.
In an interview i watched, Gary Oldman mentioned that Thomas Harris' voice was the basis for his own performance as Mason Verger in Hannibal
Truly the best living author, and probably the best suspense novelist of the 20th century, Thomas Harris is as modest as he is talented.
What a thrill to finally see him on video speaking about the craft of which he is the absolute master.
Amazing interview!
I love you Mr Harris! I love you!! I am currently writing a letter to you and came across this interview... What a lucky superfan I am! Your brilliant mind is so intriguing... And yet you are so down to earth. What a pleasure seeing you speak. Thank you for this interview.
Wow, this is amazing. I don't think that I've heard Thomas Harris speak before, the audio versions of his novels aside. A fascinating interview with a wonderful writer; thanks for posting this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Weird how much he sounds like Bob Ross
I never thought I'd ever hear this wonderful man's voice (finding interviews with him is damn near impossible). The way he talks reminds me of my grandparents. I really miss hearing them tell stories.
He doesn't just write like a cross between Stephen King and GRR Martin but he also looks the part:)
No, but seriously: I love this interview and its kind of sad, there are so few like this one.
Thomas Harris es un chingon saludos desde Mexico!!!
Been waiting for this. Thank you for creating and uploading this interview!
The king

Rewatching Hannibal TV Series and one of the producers said Thomas Harris was a foodie! So I came here to learn more about this cool guy. Thanks for uploading!
