Both superb. Unless I’m playing bluegrass, a Dreadnaught is NOT my instrument of choice. These seem more balanced. I used to own a 1963 Martin 000-28 slot head that probably would have sounded close to these with these mics. It’s a great size, and I prefer the 12 fret slot head.
Given that it’s a 000-28 with a longer scale length (essentially an om-28) is the difference just the bracing? Did they even have the same bracing difference back then?
The overtones projecting from the OM-18 are amazing! Thanks !
Wow, the 18 all the way...😃
That OM-18 sounds amazing ! Nice playing too ...
Both beautiful, but the 18 is clear, has fantastic voice separation and a balanced sound that is really special.
Nice recording and playing. Both are great sounding guitars. The 28 has that bell-like tone, but I'll take the clarity and cut of the 18.
They both sound great to me. But I like the 18 better
They both sound so nice... Man, I could listen to you playing these for a week straight.
Gotta love those Martins! So smooth… 🎶❤️🎶
The OM18 is insane!
Thanks for the treat. Beautiful playing in letting those old boxes sing. The 18 is my favorite.
Very subtle differences. Both amazing. Great player.
Amazing, but I think the D-18 was the clear Winner, and I would buy it for sure..
The 18 all the way! Anyone know the tune?
Amazing how good old Mahogany sounds, although both are masterfully great. Well played, filmed and recorded too :)
Many thanks!
I come for the guitars and stay for the music.
Wonderful! Both are lovely; But the 18 just blew me away. Thanks. Curious how these were miced.
Check the video description for mic setup!

Hey Trevor! What is this gorgeous cap? 😉👍
So Sweet!
Both really nice....I prefer the 28's subtle power and sweet sustain.
Thanks for listening!
Lovely. What strings are on them?
Martin light phosphor bronze.

No difference in bracing -- essentially comparing two OMs
@@themusicemporiumboston do you know what the difference is then between a prewar OM and prewar 000 with extended scale length?
