    I turned off the wireless charging pads and put my sunglasses and stuff on them. Got mine in February and love it. The bings and bongs can be turned off. Because the screen is android based, you can swipe down for shortcuts. These can then be customised to your preference. Voice control is good but some functions, such as rear window demist are not supported yet.
    When charging at a public charger I turn the car on to stop the alarm from going off. Great video and great your still making them.

    My understanding is that a factor into putting tariffs on Chinese EV imports is to counter Chinese subsidies that have helped their EV market - which otherwise creates an unfair advantage compared to European and American makers.
    Only a factor though because the likes of BYD are making great cars and control the entire pipeline

    • @ensteffo
      @ensteffo 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The US and European tariffs does not count in the massive amount of subsidies US and European car makers have received since the dawn of automotive production so rather than trying to create a level playing field it is an attempt to protect industrial advantage which is eroding or for the most part having entirely disappeared.

    China and Europe are very different. China has no worries about workers rights or Safety standards as they are all decided by the dictatorship, China has no competitiveness laws - The State can help companies whenever needed etc. Having said that it's the greed of the Legacy shareholders that makes it hard to compete on price.

    Bob, Great to see you reviewing cars once again -I strongly feel I can trust your reviews.
    I reckon EVs are in the Baby stage of development -maybe in time they will be the future -the second hand/Trade in value will be a major problem -tyres wear quicker because of the weight of the electric car --the lithium ion battery fire hazard is an other major issue -also they are very expensive and Range anxiety is another major problem.-surely you agree!!!!

  • @mlann2333
    @mlann2333 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Nice car, I can see it selling as it's like a Tesla but has a better interior and normal controls. It might all come down to 1 or 2 Chinese companies making it in Europe as all the rest go bust eventually. I'd bet BYD would be one to survive. I'd still buy European first to support closer to home industry though.

    I’m a company car driver and will be looking to change next year so will be trying out cars end of this year. I’d seriously consider one of these as a Tesla Model 3 is only my list of possibles but those safety feature bings would drive me nuts! (On my current EV most can be permanently turned off).
    Will test drive one and see - looks great and packed with kit for the price.

    The Chinese play a long game, we in the west only have a "5 minute" attention span.
    A lot of folks have forgotten that China is a communist country.
    The west requires visionary leaders to deal with an expansionist China and unfortunately, we in America have "lost the plot".
    The ramifications of self imposed EV mandates coupled with unachievable deadlines is handing over large sections of crucial industries to the CCP
    I fear that Chinese vehicles dumped in Europe and Mexico will have a lasting effect on millions of peoples that are not yet fully understood.
    Bill Clinton should never have allowed a communist China, with all its human rights violations to join the WTO.
