Love every time Roffle asks "What's my hand size" when the number of cards you see in a tarot/spectral pack is your hand size.
Minor detail and it may have been a joke anyhow but lucky cat is still linear scaling. It is a multiplicative joker, sure, but it still scales linearly. The difference between a 3x mult and a 5x mult is significant sure but when it gets to a 40x mult even the difference between a 40x mult and a 45x mult isn't that noticeable. With 1000 chips that would just be 40,000 score vs 45,000 score. The real strength from multiplicative cards despite linear scaling is when you get multiple. With chips if you have a joker that gives 500 chips and another that gives 600 thats only 1100 total, but a 4x mult with another 4x mult becomes a 16x mult. They complement each other really well.
You are right but only if this wasnt the plasma deck, so you just want the biggest number on just one side.
Although on the linear aspect your still correct you want 2²²² type scaling but hey

1:30:00 When opening an arcana or spectral pack and you want to know your hand size, it's the number of cards you see right then that you get to use the cards on. So in this instance, it's 6 since you see 6 cards.
I thought I left this comment but apparently not, it's just my loss aversion speaking but I think it'd be really nice to have an "Exorcist" Spectral Card the effect of which is that if Hands, Discards, and/or Hand Size have been reduced by a Voucher or Spectral Card, then it will randomly pick one of them which has been reduced and increase it by 1. It can't increase any of them past their initial value and won't spawn if none of them have been reduced, it's solely a repair card and that's it.

In case anyone doesn't know the discount voucher lessens the value of your current jokers which in turn makes temperance give less

Is an activated Invisible Joker compatible with Brainstorm or Blueprint?
If a glass card retriggers does it do a check to break every retrigger or just one check at end of turn?
It only rolls the 1/4 chance once per hand played instead of per retrigger, otherwise basically every super high score glass build would be unsustainable
When the C.D.S. strikes, the answer is always YES! Even in Balatro.

the more ectoplasms you take the more hand size it reduces. since that was the 3rd ectoplasm, it would have removed 3, not 1, so he would've had a hand size of 3

For ramping cat, blueprinting the d6 would have been more effective than blueprinting the hack; twice again the chance to trigger lucky vs one extra retrigger
Blueprint is incompatible with Oops all 6s.

If I remember right it has to do with the type of deck he's playing with. Notice the back of the cards have that smoky look. That's a deck you can unlock after a certain point

the plasma deck adds the chips and mult, then divides it in half and splits the total between them after scoring. so for instance if you play a hand and it ends with 100 x 6, the plasma deck would "balance" it to be 53 x 53

today i played this game for almost 5 hours straight, and then i noticed something strange, whenever i read something, the letters were swaying up and down like in the game

Roffle looks at the temperance, considers it, then decreases the sell value of jokers before using it.
I understand the need to keep the cat for the meme but it made me recoil in pain each time you could have taken something different, the type A in me was in pain, awesome video ❤
can someone explain what is balance mean
It's specific to plasma deck. Basically it averages out the chips and mult. So if you have 100 chips and 10 mult (1000 score) it becomes (100+10)/2 = 55 chips and 55 mult (3025 score)

47:40 I would have actually sold lucky cat, even though it scales, with his current joker disposition, bloodstone triggers 40 times (initial 5+15 from brainstormed hack, ×2 because of blueprint), which when guaranteed by bloodstone give a whopping ×11,057,332 mult.
Meanwhile, for lucky cat to do as much, it needs, with 3 trigs (bc he sold one brainstorm) to be scaled up to ×222 mult.
Fun build, but less effective since it needs to scale way more.

(Edit: akshually bloodstone gets even bigger lmao, you'd need one blueprint on hack and the brainstorms on bloodstone, bringing us to 45 trigs, so ×83,966,617, meaning cat needs to be at least ×438.
This is stupid.)
