I almost got a Black and Red Kia Soul EV, but I thought with all the driving I do (over 600 miles a week) I would need a regular car with good gas mileage. So I got a Red Heat edition Kia Soul. I love it!!!! Getting between 40-45mpg on the highway with it!

Also available in British Columbia. We own a Leaf and sold our last ICE car to purchase the Soul EV and awaiting delivery. Sould EV has great ride and a little longer practical range. No more gas - ever.

One mistake: The EV+ does not cool the rear seats, only the front. But it does heat the rear (and front) seats. The EV+ is a fantastic deal on the used EV market. I'm getting a 2016 EV+ with low miles, one owner, Certified Previously Owned by Kia and no accidents, etc for well under $15000. In fact, it's black with red trim like the one on stage! Can't wait! I've seen dozens of reviews for it and everyone raves. Its 93 miles of range is perfect for the way I drive.

I think it's exciting to see the electrification of the automobile. Locomotives transitioned from steam, to diesel, to electric, to monorail, to magnalev, just not in the United States... It would be great if our cars followed the trend and were magnalev in the future...

***** Correct. Sometimes I add an extra syllable to that word accidentally when discussing the other types because they have three syllables. :)

It's amazing this car was there in 2014. More than two years later, it's something fresh and new everywhere else. What cheap 2017 EVs are there in California today? I mean, It's like having at least one year's worth look into the future :)

It's really only the Fiat 500e and Chevy Spark EV that's selling in California (and Oregon). The Soul EV is already selling quite well in Europe for its first months of sale. To be honest, BMW was seen with its i3 as only trying to satisfy regulation, but ambitious sales in Europe changed that to BMW being one of the big betters on plug-ins. VW would certinally be in that crowd too. I doubt KIA wouldn't in at least a year or two of making this.

I hope that there's a list of the content n the distribution box so we can jump to a segment that interest us the most.

It would be nice to have more charging stations in North America 1st before selling so many cars, kinda like at the turn of the 20th Century when they first started selling Automobiles. There were not enough Gas stations so you were basically stuck close to home. (I'll wait 5-10 more years first before I buy one)!

I'm getting the next Nissan Leaf if it has double the range or Tesla model E. Haven't decided which yet. Depends on price.

New York State is one of the most expensive in everything including gas. The proposition of EVs means we could save a ton of money in the Empire State... Unfortunately we havnt really made any big moves which is historically typical of New York...Perhaps one day we will get it together...lol

Very impressive design, but the demand for EV's has fallen dramatically with the cost of gasoline less than $2 now in many areas. Bad timing for Kia and others, especially Tesla.

"only sold in California" that was never the plan for this vehicle and it is very inaccurate

They also said that the rear seats are cooled, which is not true unfortunately (though the front seats are, as well as heated in the front and back). I think California was first in the US to sell it and then they rolled it out to other states that follow California's strict mandate. It was available in Canada as well at launch I believe.

It's a pretty standard one: 8 years or 100,000 miles. But it should last much longer than that if you take good care of it (don't charge to full every day even if you don't need it).

93 mi range...??? Give me a 200mi and maybe we start talking.

+Ricardo Grade If you have a normal driving pattern, and can charge at home, this should do the job just fine. The few times a year I absolutely have to drive further, and don't have time for a 30 min stop every 150km, I will rent a car.
I don't fucking buy a car based on a need I have 4/365 days a year, I buy a car that makes sense the remaining 361/365 days...
Maybe you should consider moving closer to the places you need to be all the time, if 150km sounds ridiculous to you;)

    • @ricardograde5134
      @ricardograde5134 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. At best makes 150km...
      2. I make 45km to go to work, at the highway and another to return... It's not far far god sake and I don't have to go everyday like other people have to... so that is reasonable for me.
      3. And if you make a small deviation... Nope!!!
Let's see if the ugly leaf will make the 200mi at the end of 2016 like they promise.
Tesla, what are you waiting for to make a medium car with a decent range to put all the car companies working decently!!! And then, yes, I believe the market for electric car would grow!!!
