Never have done it, but most aquarium plants we keep are only under water patt of the time and out of the water the rest the time. Some are only aquatic, but the vast majority actually do better when they are not under water. Most are river bank plants flooded during rainy season and on dry land in dry season. Just haven't tried it witg mermaid weed, so can't say for sure.
I am saying emersed, immersed means found underwater. Emersed refers to plant growing up out of water. Emersed = emergent lol. I dont honestly remember how I said it in video, but pretty sure I know the terms lol. Maybe not lol
