  • Printable/PDF can be downloaded from beaddiagrams.com/necklaces/fr.... This is a step-by-step tutorial on how to make the Marquessa Necklace from beaddiagrams.com. This piece requires 11/0 TOHO seed beads, superduos, 4mm bicone crystals (1 or 2 colors), and two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads to put jump rings through for the clasp.
    NOTE: There are some audio issues in parts of this video on some devices. Keep watching, as I show the pattern several times where the audio is OK.

    Thank you for going over how to add thread to your project again. It helps to cement it in.

    I do like your designs and your delivery. I learned I had been extending fireline in not the optimum way from you and I've been beading 8 yrs! and I love how your show where we're going before you start beading. Poetry.

    Did you get the chance to do a voice-over? I really enjoy your work, but you know this one's impossible to listen to (I turned off the volume). Thank you, anyway - I'm looking forward to seeing more of your designs/tutorials!

    Hi! I’m a new subscriber. I saw this necklace on one of the Facebook groups and just loved it!
    I don’t know if it’s just me, but there was a glitch in the audio for the first join, but then it was clear after that.
    Thank you for sharing! 💜

      Not sure I can fix it at this point, but thanks for letting me know!

      @@BeadDiagrams Unfortunately, you’d have to redo the whole thing, I used to make videos, but don’t anymore. I looked to see if anyone else mentioned it, but they hadn’t, so I wasn’t sure if it was just my phone, but I rewound it and heard it again. Maybe just write a note in the description box and tell your viewers that you’re aware of it but to keep watching and that you go over the technique a few more times so it won’t interfere with how to make it?

    Lovely necklaces. I didn’t catch what kind of thread you use? Is it beading wire? I know you said the needle is size 10. Are these specific kind of needles for jewelry making? I know they are not the same needle and threads used for knotting pearls. Thank you.

    • @BeadDiagrams
      @BeadDiagrams  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 6lb Fireline, which I like because it is strong, doesn't tangle, doesn't stretch, can be continued easily with a square knot and lighter, and is more translucent than Wildfire (so you don't see it in the piece as much). These are beading needles (where the hole is narrow enough to fit through small beads). I typically use size 10 beading needle for going through 11/0 seed beads, and size 12 for going through smaller 15/0 seed beads.

    Magnificent ! what length of wire did you use please? Thank you

    • @BeadDiagrams
      @BeadDiagrams  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I use 6lb Fireline (conditioned thread), and I start with the longest I can comfortably work with (5 feet or so), which wasn't long enough. So I continued the thread via square knot and lighter, which I show around 14:04 in the video.

    Can you tell me the colour of the seed beads you are using? That'll be really helpful as I am new to beading. Thanks!

    • @BeadDiagrams
      @BeadDiagrams  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm using bronze 11/0 TOHO seed beads (I've seen some sellers call it dark gold), and matte gold superduos. The 4mm bicone crystals are blue zircon (Preciosa) and chrysolite opal shimmer or AB (Crystal Passions). Happy beading!
