These rides really do look fun, I hope I can ride the one at Canada's Wonderland before it closes for good!

Wait it's closing. The one ride I was proud of at my home park. 😭

It's probably not going to close anytime soon, but looking at its reliability, it probably won't last longer than 10 years I think.

@@SchwarzkopfFanboy Everytime I'm there it breaks down every hour. Not the most reliable flat ride. It looks really cool tho

I rode it, actually pretty forceful and gives crazy ejector.

I have actually been on the original Huss jump model when it was traveling under fantastic at the Washington state fair and I do remember loving this ride just for how unique it was. the sensation u get from the spinning inward facing gondola's was very cool and nauseating feeling as you felt yourself being ejected into your seat/restraint. the drop was very fun as well cuz u were free falling but spinning at the same time which is a rare sensation to come by but it did caused for some terrible headbanging from the over the shoulder restraint and it gave no floater. I haven't gotten the chance to ride the jump 2 model yet but its a bucket list flat ride of mine just to see how Huss has improved from their original model.

I think that these jumping machines are some of the most mesmerizing and unique flat rides on the market, I can’t wait to see which flat ride you do next, keep up the good work! Also, in the future I would like to see a video on fireball/superloop rides.

If I do one of the Fireball, it would be with GP to Enthusiast, as I barely have any experience with them.

I rode the Distel Jumping in Germany, and really loved it. Very fast and intense. I love how as the car tilted outward at full height, where you might expect such a ride to tilt inward. The drop wasn't as intense as you might expect, but other than that it was a superb ride, and one I really wish could have stayed on the fair circuit.

I have been to CW about a dozen times over the last couple of years and only once was the sledgehammer working. I was fortunate enough to get the ride credit. There really is nothing like it out there.

I've actually been on this … the one at SFGA, for its brief period in the park. I liked it; would have been nice if it wasn't broken down all the time.
I definitely get the analogy to a drop-tower ride, though not so much the Enterprise. It spun a lot, kinda like a car in a teacup ride. So year, a drop tower crossed with a spinning teacup. That about sums it up.
Definitely a unique experience … and like other experiences I've had, probably one I'll never experience again (short of YT videos).
    Nice video.

Was lucky enough to ride the “Free Fall” jump at six flags great adventure. It was an amazing ride! I’ve never experienced anything like it and can’t believe there aren’t any original jumps operating today =( Hopefully one day I can make it up to Canada to try Sledge Hammer.

I first saw the Sledgehammer in a coaster enthusiast's video on a trip to Canada's Wonderland & immediately wanted to try it! Funnily enough, in the video they were equally as excited about going on it, but it promptly broke down! LOL But I'm pleased to report that as of December 2021 Canada's Wonderland still have it listed as one of their key thrill rides on their website so there might still be time to visit & ride it 👍

    1. The 1st generation of the ride was operating under the name Jumping and Free Fall.
    2. It was introduced as Jumping by Showman Distel in 1996 ("sometime in the 90´s" as you said, is a bit vague).
    3. The ride was the first attempt to bring a free-fall/space shot attraction in the form of a flat ride to the fair grounds.
The ride was an engineering marvel, but still underdveloped. The lifting/dropping mechnisam was fully hydraulic, which meant that the whole central tower was filled with oil. That made the whole construction extremely heavy and a maintenance nightmare.
    4. The actual ride experience was rather dull. The shot ´n drop aspect of the ride was diminished by the spinning of the gondolas.
    5. Distel´s Jumping offered spectacular entertainment for spectators (the design and lighting package was amazing). But the ride sensation was mediocre at best and that´s why the owners were happy to sell the ride parks.
    6. When Huss brought the first real freefall-tower (Shot´n Drop) to the fairs two years later, it basically rendered the Jumping obsolete.
    7. The financial failure of Jumping came after a string of "flops" for Huss Rides. The Flic-Flac/Can Can and The Speedy didn´t sell well and the company never came back to the spectacular success they had from the 70´s through the 80´s. You know , you´re in trouble, when even the copy cat manufacturers don´t steal your concepts.

I rode this at a fair in Hamburg. It’s one of those rides that looks better than it actually is. It spent ages just spinning, with a few mild dropping sections. You didn’t really notice the drops much. It doesn’t feel anything like a free fall. The new suspended version looks much better!

Thanks for showcasing these awesome rides, I’ll probably never get to ride one, it’s so sad that a crazy design like this doesn’t get more exposure in theme parks, rather than the same old models we all see

Lost opportunity: some versions of the Music Express have 24 cars. (Specifically the Reverchon 'Himalaya' one.) FROTW #24 would have been fitting.
Anyhow, I look forward to seeing that one at some point, in addition to the following:
    Flying Bobs
    Hully Gully / Trabant
    Rainbow / 1001 Nacht
    Orbiter
    Shake
    Whip

@@SchwarzkopfFanboy I see! It makes a lot of sense! I enjoy cruising on Holland America Line (HAL). I would like cruise ships to acquire more flat rides. Royal Caribbean have merry-go-rounds (Oasis Class) and observation pods (Quantum class). Carnival have a roller coaster type ride (Bolt) and MSC Seascape now has a Robotron ride.
