Kinda wish that there was a resident evil movie in a mansion with this type of style. In a creepy dark mansion where any creatures could sneak up on you.... Yes, it'll be very cheesy and ultra corny, no doubt, but it'll be pretty fun to watch though lol At least more so than those Paul Anderson movies (except maybe the first one).
I always thought this was supposed to be Chris, but now that i'm watching it again, I think this is supposed to be Kenneth, and we're seeing this from the perspective of the zombie that ends up killing him.
It is possibly true as a recreation or imagination what happened to Kenneth shortly before the arrival of Jill Chris and Barry and Wesker before his death Although it wouldn't make sense if in the intro he didn't defend himself with the knife he was carrying
