@@Deity_devil Nah, this ain't Demon Slayer, Rise has solid characters and a good plot, not to mention how great they incorporated magic into the world in an interesting way.
Honestly I did have a problem with rise at first but then they had stuff like Splinters different backstory which was heartbreaking and had a scene like Michelangelo throwing a freight ship, that’s not even getting into the final fight with shredder
I was finna say the same shit. The regular show outside of fighting was kinda ass. But them fight scenes tho? I'll hear no argument against em. And I say this as someone who grew up with the 80s original and the 03 funimation version
You know everybody's willing to die on the hill that Rise of the TMNT is still a great show. Definitely not a downgrade, and has some of the best animation and fight choreography in the series. That show really did have to rise from the depths of its initial impressions.
The only real problem I had with Omniverse was how badly they dumbed down Ben. He was finally awesome and mature after the end of Ultimate but, suddenly he's acting like a 10 year old again.
I wish AF and UA had omniverse colors. Visually alien force was really dark like they used way to much black/dark purple. Omniverse was fun with all the chicks that wanted to hook up with ben.
I completely disagree with the rise of tmnt one, I'm a huge fan of the 2012 series, so when I first watched rise I also wasn't too fond of the changes but I kept a open mind and honestly the show really grew onto me I'm sick of people constantly comparing it with the other versions of tmnt when rise was clearly trying to do something different, it has a lot of really cool concepts with the more mystical world building it went for instead of the typical urban/ sci fi story telling we've been told multiple times. I think people should really stop hating on the show and should actually give it a chance the animation and fight scenes are beautifully animated and despite having a more lighter tone, it has pretty good character development and world building, rise of tmnt deserved better and people need to stop pandering their nostalgia on 30 year old franchises that have been doing the same thing for years.
FACTSSSS, another thing I hate when the shit talk about the show is when they say it's too humorous. Like did they NOT watch the other versions. Each and every version of the Turtles always had some kind of humorous moments no matter what
@@mastertjt56 That is so true, people act like this series is always meant to take itself seriously all the time when the first series didn't even do that like AT ALL it was super goofy. The most of the 80s series was super dependent on humor until the last couple of seasons and the ones afterward though more grounded still have humor in it. But people wanna act like Rise "sillying up" TMNT. It also had great character development and a unique change of pace with the world and character development. It honestly deserved another season to me.
The art design and how they build tension is also fantastic. The very stark shadows and the realistic vibe it was going for lend to a lot of tension when their cases escalate from a guy in makeup and sheet to a spectral Mad Max War Rig, a Death Squad, and the vengeful ghost of a dinosaur.
The Cleveland Show was an underrated masterpiece. The only "downgrade" about it was when it got canceled and The Brown-Tubbs Family got sent back to Family Guy, where they got sucked dry of their personalities and charisma and cast aside to only play minor roles as punchlines to the forced and shitty "jokes" of modern Family Guy's ongoing shitshow. For real though, TCS needs to be rebooted.
First of no Cleveland show is terrible. Cleveland literally was dubbed down to be black Peter. The mom slowly became the stereotype of a "black baby momma". It had zero entertaining side characters outside of maybe rilo. Roberta was meant to be the opposite of Meg I guess so they just made her a hoe. The punchline were literally the sane in family guy but worst. The show literally felt like it's was written by a bunch of Federline Jones.
One of the most annoying things a remake does is literally have the original show come into play in the new one just to compliment the remake and call anyone who hates it dumb (Thundercats Roar literally did this, Teen Titans Go had their special where the og team came up, and the remake of ben 10 had all the other versions of ben show up to help fight the wanna be alien x)
To be fair atleast teen titans go knew it was no where as good as the original and would reference multiple times that they were trash compared to teen titans
@No. 1 Spidey-Fan yeah but remember that 1 time when a teen titans fan showed up and cyborg asked which teen titans show did he like and he said the original and cyborg said yeah they were definitely better
The thing about Teen Titans Go is that it has some really, really good moments that are watered down by the usual garbage that it consists of. I still stand by "The Night Begins To Shine." Ep having some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen in any cartoon ever, it was just a surreal and awesome experience, shame we didn't get more like it.
Ngl, I'd even say the animation is pretty good. Like it's very smooth and sometimes it changes to different styles kinda like Gumball, but like you said, since the show just wants to suck and be targeted towards little kids. It's just unbearable-
The thing is they could not only bring TT back but also make TTG better, one thing that could make it better is getting rid of the usual garbage, second is making the titans more likable characters, and how they can do this is by actually making them more serious, but not as serious as the original teen titans because they can also make them funny in a way to that their likable superheroes, and finally they can give them complete redesigns and have a completely different artstyle for the show and a new theme because the design for the characters is ugly and the theme is just plain lazy because it's a less catchy and remixed version of the theme for the original show.
3:59 Ralp being the leader is not a problem because that is actually comic accurate, Leo being the leader is a cartoon thing and actually got backflash back in the days
That’s friggin awesome cuz he was always my favorite lol, I was thinking when he said it that sounded dope. If only the character design didn’t look so wacky

Now I'm not a huge Scooby-Doo fan it's alright but I will admit Mystery Incorporated that was a really good one it actually felt like an actual mystery like old School Scooby-Doo it was always kind of easy to figure out who was behind the mask but in Mystery Incorporated and kept you guessing like what's going to happen next who's really behind it all
I think you should give ROTTMNT a chance. It was mad underrated and the movie is straight up fire. Don't stop at the first designs and brief character synopsis, the show is actually amazing. It had so much character, THE BEST April and arguably the best Splinter, has GOD TIER animation and great humour. So sad they had to end it before its time, but the finale was handled flawlessly with the little time they had to close all the subplots. In all honesty, to me Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was an upgrade, not a downgrade
Normally I agree with u but on the rise of the tmnt I gotta disagree, taking a version of Raph that isn’t just the hot head and makeing him the leader because he’s the older brother makes sense. On top of that the fact that they made them all different turtles helped so much, micky was a box turtle, raph was an alligator snapping turtle(which is why he’s so big, Leo’s a red eared slider and dony is a soft shell turtle which is why he has a tech shell covering. That series is just amazing
Honestly I understand people saying new kids shows aren’t that good. I’ve been watching Teen Titans and it’s just as good as I remember, so glad I can watch it in order now instead of catching random episodes on Boomerang like back in 2012 lol.
I am so glad you didn’t put Yu Gi Oh Zexal on here. Because I STILL get goosebumps from Utopia’s first appearance even after seeing it over a 100 times at this point. And Yuma was really well written. He FEELS human.
I agree with literally everything EXCEPT the Tmnt one. Rise is great. The animation is gorgeous, the story lines all tied in with the main overarching story well, and yeah the characterizations were different (moreso for some than others) but it was passionate. The show just wants you to laugh and cool out with it man. It doesn't take itself all that seriously but knows when to settle for the emotional and important stuff. Hurt on its behalf
Rise of the TMNT is an upgrade in my opinion they act like teenagers, weapons upgrades, April is not useless, it's the 3rd funniest kids cartoon ive ever watched after gumball and regular show. The only bad thing is that they kinda switched their personalities around.
I honestly really enjoyed Beywheels. When I first saw it I was annoyed because they just turned beyblades on their sides renamed it and called it a series. But, then I thought “Why not give it a shot.” And I’m glad I did cause it was surprisingly good. I loved it so much I even watched it’s sequel Beyraiders. Which I adored even more than it’s predecessor!
Omniverse is so goated even though yes it did change a lot of things for better or for worse but it had the best world building, goated storyline, cool and interesting new aliens and rook is undoubtedly ben's true partner
I got recommended this by TH-cam and I hope this blows up to really showcase the downgrades cartoons got. Commenting and liked to help this in the algorithm.
11 years ago, I remember my mother plugging in the VHS to play Scooby-Doo, Thundercats, He-man, and some other shows that got me into plants and animals. God I missed those days.
I feel like close enough has definitely come into its own. The characters are all funny and I feel like season 3 was definitely the peak. They even had a tree house of horrors halloween type episode
Not gonna lie, What's New Scooby-Doo and damn near almost every other piece of Scooby-Doo from that era or earlier gives me immense nostalgia cause of how inconsistently I jump between media-based generations despite being born in the 2000s.
Forgetting shera, the message of the reboot is non-existent unless you count that living with a constant in-your-face abuser is ok. Also rewriting everything didn't help.
@@chrisrockett5897 it wasn't...for a while, it was until "woke" content came to play and meshed alot of inconsistencies and nonsense till they closed it off with adora kissing catra, which not only it was forced but catra is a continuous chaos with no redemption and never apologized once, if anything, the whole show is now one big, fat, ugly fanfiction. That goes for Seahawk confirming that he dated a man named Falcon, which true fans know that Falcon was Seahawk's father in the original. I'm gonna be sick.
I remember owning a Beyblade. I remember it being only three pieces that you had to assemble, rather than what D showed on screen. You had the bottom part that hits the ground and spins, the metal part the plastic too goes onto, and of course the aforementioned stylized plastic part. Metal fusion was a show I remember finishing and living. Also I don't see ANY kids in elementary or middle school playing with Beyblades. Early 2000s kids would have their beyblade and stadium on DECK back then.
As someone who watched Teen Titans Go at first just to hate on it and see how far they would take it... The Night Begins to Shine i can honestly say is the saving grace. As I watched, or more like listened to the show as background noise while I worked on school projects, I noticed more and more shade being thrown from the creators to WB. And then they released their 100th episode, which was basically the creators trying to explain themselves. After seeing that, it kind of clicked that while yes, the creators wanted to do a teen titans series that celebrated aspects of the old, I definitely think WB were the ones who changed the concept to make it more "Kid Friendly". After all, you can't make a TV show without a producer: the ones who have all the money and know they can get whatever they want.
as much as i like the og Ben 10 series because its nostalgic i think Omniverse is my favorite, Maltruant was just a really cool villain. but the 2016 reboot can go to hell, they did my boy dirty like what was they thinkin when making that
Omniverse is best ben 10 series, it just has so many memorable villians and unforgettable moments and some of the best aliens and feedback and rath gotta be my favorites And i couldnt agree more on the reboot also is it just me or alien x got nerfed in the special cus i feel like he got defeated too easily
Ngl, rottmnt slaps pretty hard. It shook the formula a bit, and the turtles are one of the best iterations for me, although I can see why some people don't give the show a chance. Also, the 2003 show and especially future shellshock were a huge part of my childhood, and I'd say rise holds surprisingly well to them. Just some refreshing silliness
I still remember freaking out my middle-school teacher because I was absolutely gushing about the fight scene in the first episode saying *"Dude was throwing land mines like frisbees!"*
The reason these new shows were made was because Cartoon Network is for kids not fan service for those who enjoyed the 2000s shows. You’d think that kids now would be watching the shows because they are for children. These shows may be ass, but they are also not for people who enjoyed the originals.
When it comes to TMNT 2012 I liked it a whole lot as a kid as it was something I grew up with, recently I saw that the first season of TMNT 2012 was on Netflix I watched it and it wasn’t nostalgia clouding my mind, the first season is just great. It has a few weaker ones like Ep 23 which is just there, but every other episode in season 1 is great. Like take for example the episode where Karai is introduced, New Girl on the Block, it not only serves a story purpose because we meet this incredibly important character to the story but it also serves as a great character development episode for Raph and Leo as Raph nearly gets Mikey killed after Leo gives Raph leadership after Raph complains about one of his plan, and Ralph’s line after always gets me, “I’m fine with risking my own life, but my brothers?” It’s incredibly powerful and Leo goes through character development by realizing that its his responsibility to be the leader even if he’s not going to get recognition for it. Season 1 honestly has no bad episodes (except Ep 23), they all serve a purpose to the story or future story episodes and if they are filler they are constantly fun and exciting, and it’s also surprisingly funny considering that going in you would assume the poop and pee humor, but it actually tells jokes, and they land. I would talk about other seasons but Hulu ain’t showing them anymore so that’s great.
That's the exact problem they either drag things on for way too long or try to bring it back in a solely meant for kids way, or they just straight up cancle the show while it's at its peak examples Final Space and The Owl House
I gotta say out of all of them rottmnt has the best quality it may have a lot of slice of life but the overall plot is great with god tier animation and you should give it another chance
One of the utterly appalling downgrades I've seen is actually something I experienced in reverse. I remember enjoying The Super Friends, and then my dad introduced me to the 1940s Fleischer Brothers Superman cartoon. Jesus christ, the animation in that show was fucking amazing.
This is something Transformers fans don't have to go through, at least not often. We usually only get one or two reboots every couple of years and even if the show is not that good like Robots In Disguise its still fun to watch. Then you get absolute GOD TIER shows like Beast Wars(even though it's not a reboot), Transformers Animated, Transformers Prime, and Transformers Cyberverse. And while Cyberverse wasn't that good at the start it got better later on.
Rise is actually really good when it comes to the fights and the story was really well done. A lot of people took one look at it and assumed it was another shitty remake and I was one of them until I took the time to actually watch it. I was pleasantly surprised with how great it was.
Some of these shows I keep coming back to just because I remember the original being good like beyblade and Bakugan even though I know that Bakugan probably won't have any quality again and beyblade burst is just on a downward spiral (the first three seasons were really good tho). I watched Teen Titans Go back in fourth grade and only put up with it because I wanted to watch the amazing world of gumball and I had no clue of the original teen Titans existence until my big sister showed me the way. I watched one of the Ben Ten reboots and said to myself why is this popular. I never really got into TMNT, FOP, or Thunder Cats
Beyblade Burst and Beyblade Burst Evolution were awesome and what made me love Beyblade. But a while after Beyblade Burst Turbo came out I dipped and stopped watching/collecting.
Teen Titans downgrade was the worst one. The original had taught you actual life lessons and hit you straight in the feels. People in general could legit relate to each and every one of these characters but the remake ruined everything. And we didn’t even get SEASON 6!!!!!!!!
I agree with you. Also Chloe doesn't even need fairies because all that happened to her is the fact that a monster attacked her city or town(whichever one it was) and everything else was good for her after it happened and before it happened. Timmy lives in constant terror because of the things that happen to him on a daily basis.
The writing was still good, but, I'd suggest a look at the crappy art shift WB did when the WB network first came around and they took Batman TAS from Fox. They took as show lauded for the visual designs and altered almost every character down to make it cheaper to produce. Bald Riddler. No red lips Joker. Scarecrow was... okay, Scarecrow actually looked pretty cool, even if he looked like a corpse with a noose around his neck more than a scarecrow.
*Never watched the first remake of Thunder Cats, will NEVER watch the second, but did watch the OG series and gotta say, it was pretty good from what I can dig up from my 5-7 year old memories. Also have some old Scooby-Doo episodes and movies on VHS so MY CHILDHOOD!!*
Gonna be honest for a second: I hated Rise of the TMNT at the start but it grew on me, it mixed old and new ideas perfectly, the characters are great (even though the turtles are more or less the same but that is relevant to the plot) and I'm sorry but the action scenes in Rise are THE BEST in any TMNT show TL;DR: RISE is what Teen titans go dreams of being
Bro Scooby Doo is so important to my childhood that every time somebody mentions it I have flashbacks just Scooby Doo what’s new and a couple of the spinoff.
Aw man I have never seen such disrespect of all the classic shows in my life when will we learn not to downgrade things like That but hardly we will learn our lesson like look at the disrespect why are we doing this to classic shows like the reboots got literally disrespect in them
I mean, the fairies don't even repopulate. Poof is the only fairy baby born in who knows how long. Then Jorgen put a note in Da Rules so no one else can wish for a fair baby.
Bro I used to play with blade blades wym this generation will never understand how to put them together it took me hours to put five of them together it took everything in my brain to do that trust me I know I know the pain but be honest that she was Hella fun
Heyyyyyyyheyheyhey- You gotta give ROTTMNT some slack! The fights are great, this version of Shredder is genuinely scary, and Splinter is (to me at least) a lot more of a relatable character and way more of a dad.
For teen titans go, the primary thing that turned me away from that show was the fact that it was overplayed and was pretty much the only thing we ever saw on cartoon network, sidlining all the other good shows like adventure time, regular show, Steven universe, and a few others I can't think off the top of my head rn. Like one or two seasons deep, and we saw nothing but bobblehead titans. I don't know if anyone else had the same feeling when it came out, but that's how I felt
I feel like shows such as the new Ben 10 and Teen Titans Go is not for us adults but are more targeted at a *younger audience.* I remember hating Teen Titans Go and seeing my cousins who are 5 to 6 years old saying how they like Teen Titans Go. That's where it hit me that shows like these is not for me, it's never for me as someone hitting their early twenties. Best thing I can do is either ignore it or watch ones that are interesting. For example, I want to watch the Teen Titans Go movie because I saw they made fun of the Stan Lee cameo in the Marvel. In the new Ben 10, I hard Generation Rex made an appearance and I remember loving Generation Rex and love how Upgrade can make Rex's stuff super better

@@Deity_devil Nah, this ain't Demon Slayer, Rise has solid characters and a good plot, not to mention how great they incorporated magic into the world in an interesting way.
Facts, well I enjoyed all versions of TMNT for different reasons. Rise was able to break the cycle by being unique and adding new dynamics

All of these I can agree on, but out of everything I'm just happy to FINALLY hear that I wasn't the only one who didn't have a problem with Omniverse.
Omniverse was definitely a homage to all of the previous Ben 10s.
okay thing I didn't like about omniverse was that fucked with the Osmosian thing. it's really sucked.
The only real problem I had with Omniverse was how badly they dumbed down Ben. He was finally awesome and mature after the end of Ultimate but, suddenly he's acting like a 10 year old again.
@@devinnall2284 I can't really say he was mature he was more of a dick than anything there.
Each and every version of the Turtles always had some kind of humorous moments no matter what
I wished it got another season.
Mystery incorp is actually a really good show with a great overarching story

For real

Deadass.
The Cleveland show had just as many sh** jokes. You're hypocritical. Lmao "Masterpiece" You funny.
Agree, I actually enjoy The Cleveland Show. Mainly because Jr. was not another Meg.
For real I loved the rap battle between jr and kayne and it was cool learning more about Cleveland
Kinda sad how kids won't grow up with some of the absolute gems we watched as kids
@No. 1 Spidey-Fan the only time i think it kinda did that was in the movie when it was compared to that other titans show that was more serious
@No. 1 Spidey-Fan yeah but remember that 1 time when a teen titans fan showed up and cyborg asked which teen titans show did he like and he said the original and cyborg said yeah they were definitely better
TMNT 2003 also did this in their crossover with Mirage and '87. Not sure if 2012 did it though.
@@chrisrockett5897 the 2012 TMNT Had actually crossed over with the 80s TMNT at least three times

Rise starts off pretty slow but it gets so good. It's actually one of my favorite incarnations of the Turtles.
Honestly I understand people saying new kids shows aren’t that good. I’ve been watching Teen Titans and it’s just as good as I remember, so glad I can watch it in order now instead of catching random episodes on Boomerang like back in 2012 lol.
Someone remembers Boomerang! Gosh that takes me back.
I agree.
Yea :

I think Scooby Doo is actually one of those franchises where a marathon with no breaks would take over a year

And i couldnt agree more on the reboot also is it just me or alien x got nerfed in the special cus i feel like he got defeated too easily
You take back what you said about rise! It's animation is amazing!
That's the exact problem they either drag things on for way too long or try to bring it back in a solely meant for kids way, or they just straight up cancle the show while it's at its peak examples
Final Space and The Owl House
3:25 Classic D, you got some Singing Talent for sure!
