Love your style of teaching- you are my ‘go to’ when I am learning something new (magnetic closures) or want a new challenging project. I am new to sewing and you are such an inspiration!🙌❤️🙏💥
You used extra foam behind the metal snap for fabric stability. But I don't think you used extra behind the Kam snaps. Is quilting cotton with SF101 interfacing, but no batting, strong enough to hold the Kam snap over time?
Are all plastic snaps the same? I bought a box of cheapo ones. Are there different qualities of plastic snaps? The ones I have are kind of sheer instead of opaque.
Are there more than 1 brand of those Plastic Snaps? I bought some from Babyville Boutique about 10 years ago & found 2 out of 5 projects I used them on, the male end didn't snap well into the female part. It was either bent or it was not a smooth transition when snapping it together. So, I went back to my metal snaps. I just didn't want to ruin my projects, never knowing if the snap would be a good application or not. I have the handheld appliance that came with them to use with, but there are times when it just doesn't come together well.
Excellent communication skills and clear explanations. Vanessa, as usual you are amazing!
Thank you so much!
Great instructor. Doesn’t ‘ assume you know something. Goes step by step.
Love the way you explain things ..clear..and.informative 🥰
Great way to show how each of these choices works. I love that notebook!!!

I'm glad to know that the plastic snaps are better (still a personal choice) than the metal...wow i can see that now. Great...thanks for explaining.☺
Thank you. Perfect timing since I don't have plastic snaps and starting to make the Project Duo Bag from a previous club.

Beautiful lady
What about the magnetic closures enclosed in plastic. We used them in a previous bag Club.
Do you do anything with starting a business?
What is best way to sell my handmade bags
Vanessa, I have trouble getting the KAM snaps to close fully or stay in the fabric. Am I squishing it too much with the tool?
Sounds like you’re not squishing it enough or it’s being installed through bulk that is too thick for the length of that center prong.
@@TheCraftyGemini ahh. I didn't think about thickness. I think you are right. Do the pokey parts come in different lengths?
