There are two big airplane manufacturers. Boeing and Airbus. The American manufacturers are Boeing, Raytheon, Northrup Grumman, Lockheed Martin and United Tech.
How can he invest so much money and not even investigate the company's fundamentals. Boing has so many problems. Planes grounded after the accidents for a year now. More technical problems arise all the time. Airlines have fee customers and don't plan on new aircraft. They have no cash left. Will take bailout money but won't give the govt equity. Airlines have cancelled orders and plan to buy from Airbus anyway. Customers will refuse to fly Boeing aircraft. What he is doing is crazy in this crazy hypervolatile market.

Boeing isn't an airline Davey boy, solely a manufacturer. If you want an airline go Delta or Southwest. Southwest isn't as affected by the international travel restrictions.
