It was about 6 months for me before the "wine o clock," urges went away. I just had to ignore it on a daily basis.

Thanks, I found your videos in my first week and I was looking for an answer to this question. Honestly after the first week, and the train scenario and with awareness of my situation, it literally kind of stopped for me after that first week. I focused on walking, enjoying podcasts and nature. Like magic when I passed that month milestone my body kind of normalized.

Love this video. So relatable. Brilliant. Last gig I went to they had 2 pint cups! I love the bands I go and see. I dont need to get wasted or even drink full stop.

Yes, so true, I would get as many pints as I could to save multiple trips to the bar, it was draining and went straight down the toilet afterwards!

How much were you drinking at worst

    • @besober

I would usually have between 1 to 3 bottles of red wine each day, often with beer or spirits on top.

Do you really know what proper alcoholism is like. Its not wanting to know anyone,it's feeling depressed all the time it's not wanting to know your kids because alcoholism takes over completely. You had it easy.

Sorry to hear how devastating it has been for you. Don't give up. Keep watching videos and reach out for direction from others who have been there. You can do it. I wish you good health and success. 🙏
