Pedro Almodóvar is an amazing director. Here in Spain we do not have this type of editions of his movies. Yeah, looks crazy, because he is from Spain, but... I don't know. It's crazy. I always think on buying this Pedros Criterion editions, but are region lock.
oh man! i’ve been eying that les blank set for AGES. this might be my sign to grab it during this sale. i also need to pick up the dvd for ‘fishing with john” … great video as always!
I've been considering that "Fishing With John" it's such an interesting entry into the Criterion Collection. Love really anything Tom Waits adjacent, but John Lurie is quite a trip onto himself.
Of course Cruise was in Endless Love and Taps in 1981 With Sean Penn, Timothy Hutton and George C Scott, technically they were his first film roles before Risky Business two years later.
@@tearunnerslab I’ve only watched three of Criterion’s black & white 4K discs: Mildred Pierce, Double Indemnity, and The Roaring Twenties. All three films are excellent, and the transfers looked great to me.
I'd add that the Criterion 4K of Branded to Kill is supposed to look great. I think you can't go wrong with Dr. Strangelove or Psycho - some of those later/60s b&w classics are beautifully crisp.
I love your TCM shirt DJ! Looks great on you!
John and DJ is a classic combination, like cheese and wine. Or wine and more wine!
I click extra fast when I see John in the thumbnail. 👍
Quality picks, exquisite range.

Nice video, yet again!
I need a help finding some real crisp Black&White movies, preferably that's in 4k version. Any thoughts people?
