Space stations like Satish Dhawan & Kennedy Space Center are located near the equator because, being closer to the equator provides a significant advantage in terms of Earth's rotation. By launching rockets eastwards from these locations, they can take advantage of Earth's rotation speed. Even Soviet Russia despite being so large had their space station only in Kazakhstan which is closer to the Equator.

I HAVE A DOUBT: "Why does a satellite, during its 5th orbit around Earth, require a 20-minute burn of fuel at perigee to enter the Moon's orbit? Isn't the satellite too far from Earth during the 5th orbit's perigee for this burn to be effective in getting it into the Moon's orbit?"
But the real reason why we are still using this method while other countries use powerful rockets, is that we don't get enough money for space or science in general.

Trivia: This Concept is termed as Gravity assist or Gravity Slingshot.
why GSLV (poweful one) used for chandrayaan and PSLV (less powerful one) for Mangalyaan and Adithya ?
GSlV has failed in cryogenic engine tests before mangalyan. So they go with pslv.
GSLV has capability of carrying heavy payloads, while PSLV can't . Mass of Aditya l1 satellite is 1,473 kg and Chandrayaan 3 is 2× heavier than Aditya l1...

Good explanation. But there are two corrections.
1. The total fuel used to launch chandrayaan-3 is 400 (S200 stage x 2) + 110 (L110 stage) + 25 (C25) = total 535 tonnes approximately. It was not 348 tonnes.
2. There is a mis conception that Chandrayaan 3 has left earth's gravity in the final push from earth after lunar trajectory transfer injection. But the reality is that, the APPOGEE was raised to the order of 3.8 lakh km in the final push at PERIGEE. And when nearing APPOGEE (3.8lakh km) the velocity is decreased so that moons orbit is captured with lunar orbit insertion menueuvr. So chandrayaan 3 is very well under earth's gravitational pull till Lunar orbit insertion.
