Just a man and his piano in his own Universe, and we can only watch.
God, what a beautiful and soulful piece. Oscar was surely nodding his head and tapping his foot to this one
during the last hour of my life i would like to hear this over and over until i have run out of time . mmmmmmm. i was at the concert with andree bernard and oscar peterson..... what a quality evening
Somewhere in the heaven Oscar Peterson is smiling !
I keep coming back to listen to this and I'm always amazed at how much emotion he managed to get out of that piano. This should have had a billion views by now. MASTERPIECE!!!
This speaks to my soul. Oscar would be proud. Thank you, sir.
This brought tears to my eyes. At a time when our freedom has never before been in such dire peril, it was especially poignant. Thank you sirs.
Now this is what you call Sum Soul Music 🎵🎶!!! Look at the way he's transforming that atmosphere Lord have mercy;!! Much love my brother!!! 👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🎵🎶
This is captivating, an amazing improv on this beautiful song. Oscar would be proud.
Those drum rolls were legendary
Only few people a capable of bringing out the sole of this song. You are most certainly one of them. A dutch great pianist Hans Kwakkernaat is another one. Respect. Mike Mol
Superb, Oscar Peterson would be smiling right now
mr zulu vegans i see you under alot of oscar videos u must be a superfan like me hgaha
Oscar is smiling.
Yebo, Yes….. I love this guy’s style of play. He reminds me of the great but underrated jazz mucian, Sipho Gumede from Durban, South Africa…. 🇿🇦
Khaya van Mieghem - did you know that your first name is so popular here in South Africa 🇿🇦 among black men……. Google it….👍🏽
I mean my God.
One of my favorite all-time compositions. The people sitting in the audience don't know what they just experienced, and how sublime it was.
Pure poetry on those keys.
Oscar Peterson instilled a soulful spirit in this song and Kenny feels it and renders true depth in playing it. Hallelujah.
I wish I could have been there to experience this live 🔥
Musicians think very differently, and this is really cool 😎 ❤️🎵
Thank You !!
Fabulous rendition. I have this peculiar preference, that one wouldn't think would matter, but I just love this played in F. It's not as though Bb is "wrong," & Oscar did later versions in Bb, so who can find fault w/ the composer himself? Still, Oscar just killed this in F, & that's the 1st version I had ever heard, so that's where it feels the most natural to me.
This splendid rendition delivers the spirit of the piece just the same. He obviously likes it just fine in Bb.
: ) Bravo!
This guy is amazing
What a treat!
Oscar Peterson would be so proud

I had to listen to this superp piece again after six months. We are all Africans and this is the music of the African nubians who predicted long ago that this type of music will stand the test of time.
Thank you, Thami. Every so often we need a reminder of who we really are, and tremendous gifts of the soul we have contributed to the greatness of this American society. There are so many outstanding renditions of this piece, all of them equally important in the artists' personal signatures.
Desole... je prefere oscar!
❤🩹
Not going to listen to this if there's a commercial in front of each one.
Every time I hear this piece played by anyone, my first take is that I am listening to "My Wild Irish Rose". I guess I am tone deaf after all. th-cam.com/video/io68lcmujBo/w-d-xo.html
