Okay, from the experts: Asynchronous motor is a basic AC motor so feedback alignment is not necessary

@@RadwellTV I have that issue on an SEM X axis motor. I have not disassembled it yet to see if the nose casing will need repair.
Is this ac or dc servo motor
I believe both kinds are shown in this video
