      I would imagine that would be difficult at the moment considering most of the country have not been able to work and have either lost thr jobs are having to apply for UC use food banks or wait until June to get support to look after thr family's.thats probably why they haven't done something like that.

      I don't get why NHS can only offer "claps", and not personal protective equipment (PPE). We only got nitrile gloves, disposable apron, and normal surgical mask as PPE.
      Meanwhile, NHS only urges people to clap. Because that's what they can only offer. Claps DO NOT protect against the virus.

    Appreciate this gesture every week, but we in healthcare need better protection! Im sorry but mere gloves, surgical mask, and an apron is not enough. 30% of our workforce are self isolating since they are infected. A number of us have already died.

    Where is the clap for other key workers who don’t work for the NHS? I am sure the other individuals who are keeping the country running would appreciate some recognition. How about the retail workers, security guards, firemen, police, bus drivers etc.... kind of a slap in the face to them considering they are still required to go to work during this pandemic.

    Few nurses and doctors are busy with the covid most of people are having a good time at home without realising what is coming after the virus. They wont clap anymore soon. NHS workers are just fine. They isolated themselves. Clapping should be for those who question covid 19, who question G5, who question vaccination, who question the goverment.

      Why, what are the NHS actually doing back? The hospitals are empty whilst the nurses and ambulance crews are just drawing their salaries. They are the very last people that we are indebted to. Germany’s private health system has a fraction of our corona deaths. We should be cheering them not those who have achieved nothing. Stop with the virtue signalling.

    Not much people have been saved during this appademic ......I have seen the ambulance crews behaviour when called out for a disabled man who had been hurt whilst his carers dropped him during his change....all his head was bleeding and the disgusting behaviours by medical professions saying they had important covids to save.....

    People clap and it makes them feel better, involved, connected, uplifted. Lovely.
    But tomorrow again, many of us, doctors, nurses, carers, cleaners, drivers, shop workers.. etc... will go to work without protective equipment. no masks, no gloves, ridiculous pinny or bin liner istead of proper PPE, no hand gell.... and our managers will say that we should have our own staff, bought/made privately, or we don't need protection......and we must do our duties, unprotected, or being sacked.
    That's reality, in 'proud' Great Britain, the 6th economy of the world.

    Clap all your want but until the Tory government actually provides PPE and a pay rise for nurses its a waste of time in my eyes. My lovely aunt a mum of 2 boys and a dedicated nurse for years is now not well with symptoms and is not even being given a test after risking her life.

    North London quite clearly only clapping for the cameras. As a student nurse I’m horrified. MP’s receive £10,000 to work from home and the majority of the country are at home receiving 80% of their wage yet I’m on the frontline working with nurses who are only receiving their BASIC wage but are risking their lives. This country is rotten to the core.. I’ve not even completed my degree and I’m already questioning if it’s even worth it. I have no doubt in my mind that once this is all over people will be quick to forget what we did and what we put on the line in order to do what is right.
