Betrayals against the Lannisters: The Hound defected and betrayed the Lannisters by seeking to aid the Starks for monetary reward. Because no gold could make him overcome his childhood trauma regarding fire at the battle of the blackwater. Tyrion betrayed his own house. Jamie betrayed his own house Olenna betrayed the Lannisters by poisoning that little shit. They were played by Littlefinger on more than one occasion Varys betrayed the Lannisters after seeing that the Bloodline would not last and bring chaos to the realm. There was a lot of betrayal going on against the Lannisters. Just never from the bannermen(except the Hound but he wasnt the head of house Clegane). Because rebelling Vassals would be erased from the history books.
I think it just comes down to the individuals of that house, not predominantly the entire house itself for instance Tywin and Cersei both use fear, retaliation, and violence to ensure dominance and control over their adversaries and their allies. Jamie and Tyrion aren’t really feared, it’s just that they carry the name Lannister that gives them that automatic pension of fear. And I also believe that is the reason why they don’t get betrayals from within their house or from their own countrymen and women Tarbecks and Reyenes learned that. So to sum it all up they don’t get betrayals from within there in a circle or from within their own vassals it’s only the outside forces.
Everyone thinks House Lannister's chief motto is "Lannisters always pay their debts", but it's actually "Rules for thee; not for me".

Very true. Lannisters didn't inspire loyalty through shrewd diplomacy
It was fear.
