I wanted GST for years but it wasn't in my budget back then. Fast forward to 2 years ago, finally in the market for one and then it was discontinued! I've been looking for preloved GST for awhile but they were pretty beat up. Someone then told me about the Classic Tote that was out. I fell in love. However....oh, that price!! I have Goyard totes, which I know are canvas and this one is leather, but over $5K US dollars with taxes was preventing me from buying it. I think it was meant to be then because I got messaged from a seller a few months later. I preloved black GST with gold hardware come up and was in pristine condition for $2500. I bit the bullet a month ago and I adore it. Glad I finally got my GST but I still love this Classic Tote. Congrats on the purchase! It looks fab.

All my flaps have lasted YEARS but when I look online I see wrinkling and shape loss. I know some people don’t care for their bags as much as others. I don’t baby my bags but I do use them … I tend to store them w shapers and paper when not in use. Please let me know and thanks in advance!

What do you think of the YSL Sac de Jour? My dream bag is a noir birkin 35 with palladium but obviously the YSL is similar but cheaper so I could get that and accessories too such as an Hermès belt!
I think its a lovely, smart crisp looking bag. I often do double takes when I see one. I haven't actually handled one so can't comment on durability etc. - but a nice choice. The birkin is amazing- but unless you're totally handbag mad or have a few thousand pounds hanging around I think you can get a similar look with other pieces like this. That being said- I am totally handbag mad beyond all logic- so the Birkin was worth it to me- and if you really really want one- just wait and save xxxx

It’s the whole you don’t even know how much to save in the first place so all I have to go on are resale sites like Fashionphile. If I knew the price (noir/palladium/35/Togo or Epsom) for what I wanted I’d feel a lot more determined
Emma Anders ALSO I just got my kelly double tour in black with palladium (box leather) and it’s totally made me dead set on getting a birkin. The only Hermès store is two hours train from me in Dublin and it’s a tiny store so I doubt they get many in at all! Any reassuring words? 😂 I’m still a student so I’m saving little by little!

Now I have! I've never owned a boy- though I do like the very small boy bags. The larger sizes are ok but I know I would probably always reach for my flap instead. I think they're really pretty- but I tend to go for simpler items- too much adornment I just can't carry off! xx
Wonderful review Emma as always and that tote bag is gorgeous 🙌🙌 I owned the GST for 9 years until I sold it this year and used it often for work but I did find it very heavy when I added my things inside because it was already a heavy bag. The bottom edges and sides of the GST bag also got very squished (caved in) from using it and holding it under my arm so this bag actually seems like it would hold up better because it’s already soft and will mould better -- or I’m hoping so because I want it 😬😬 You should get it in beige 😍😍

I do still have it. It’s a good bag but loses it’s ‘Lux’ feel as it sags sadly. Still really practical though.
