To be honest, I am really digging what I have. I canceled my 2023 ZLE order because I was at 1100 status for over two months. I think GM saying a limited run of Collector Edition ZL1’s, it will be really hard to get one. I also think the dealerships will mark them up. As far as the 1LE package, I think it will end with 2023.
That is awesome! Shadow gray is a very underrated color. I hope you get your order. I was in 1100 status for over two months. Found out the dealership didn’t have an allocation. I cancelled my 2023 order.
Thank you! It is growing on me. I hope you get it. It’s been a frustrating two months so far, I can only imagine waiting for 14 months. If you can, try to find a low mileage one just in case GM stop making 1LE’s. So far, I’m getting more highly unlikely than likely. Salesman already tried to push me to a ZL1 without the 1LE option. I said no. Thanks for taking time out to watch the video as well. I appreciate it.
I agree! I owned a Scat Pack Wide body as well, it’s not too bad in the Camaro. I think they lost ground to Dodge and Ford on advertising, trunk space (trunk opening), and rear passenger seat space.
It’s manageable with a tire change to PS4’s. However, if I’m being honest, I’m not sure long term if the suspension would hold up to everyday use. It truly is a track car made for track use. However, I wouldn’t tell anyone not to get it, because it is such a special car. I knew what I wanted and knew what to expect. Mine is not a daily. You can’t go wrong either way, but at the end of the day, don’t have any regrets.
@@thecarpergarage916 Well, it wouldn't be my main daily. I have a M5 for that, so I'd prob put 500 miles a month on it. To me, thats a daily. haha. I'm online shopping now for one, so we'll see what I end up with.
Cuzzo u from the woodlands?? I stay in stafford… this is my first time watching one of ur videos bc im thinking about getting a ZL1 .. i heard dat without da 1LE the car handles bumps better… thank you for the information tho👍
Actually, I’m from the SW side of town. Westbury area! Kirvyn, I heard the same things, but to be honest I’ve never driven the ZL1 without the 1LE. I think in my case, I wanted the 1LE and wouldn’t settle otherwise. Thanks for watching as well. I think you can’t go wrong either way, but the 1LE looks, handles, and stops better in my opinion! The ZL1 rides better.
Rick, thanks for watching. It wasn’t a complaint at all and I’m fully aware of the ride quality. I just wanted to confirm or reconfirm the biggest issue buyers or potential buyers have with the car. I personally do not have a problem with the stiffness and plan to use it on the weekends for spirited driving or track. In my humble opinion, the ZLE is either a car used for the track or it’s a collectible. You can daily it as well if you have to. I have hard time calling it a true track car like a Z/28, Cobra R, Viper ACR or GT350R because you do have a back seat, ac, and a lot of amenities to daily drive it. Either way, in todays market, I see the undervalued ZL1 1LE finally gaining momentum as a weekend/track car or a potential collectible. I guess will see what 2024 CE has to offer.
I watch a lot of TH-camrs who speak of the ZLE and someone mentioned that the suspension was magnetic ride when it is DSSV. Can’t remember which TH-camr it was I thought it might have been you, maybe not. The regular ZL1 has the magnetic ride!
@@thecarpergarage916I just came across your video here and saw this comment and wanted to chime in. I owned a 2015 Z28 and I currently own a 2018 ZL1 1LE I humbly disagree with your comment as they’re both indeed “truly” track cars. You were only allowed 1 option on the Z28 and that was a/c and 6 speakers as The standard package came with no A/C and 1 speaker which I mistakenly choose. I daily drive/drove and tracked both and to say it’s not a truly a track car because it has a/c, rear seats and other amenities to make you comfortable is alittle strange tbh as these can be removed as well and play little to no role in how the vehicle performs on the track. The suspension and aero engineering is specifically designed for the track as well as the gearing. The ZLE Aloha platform is truly an engineering achievement by Chevrolet and I will choose my ZLE over a Z28, C8 or 350R to use at the track. That’s just my opinion as I thought another owner should chime in especially since I’ve owned a Z28 as well. Btw pertaining to your video if you have break dust on your wheel that has nothing to do with your pads “getting low” it’s the material used in the pads that emit dust. They probably used a metallic based pad. Even new pads will emit dust.
@@alexander_3923 define good…lol! They will fit, but good not so much. Small kids yes! Another reason is the six speed is better than the seven speed and lastly you get an actual supercharger whine from the supercharger on ZL. The ZO is simply in your face exhaust sound. .
@@thecarpergarage916 ok got it lol cause i have a challenger scatpack and the backseats are pretty good an adult can fit comfortable so im wondering if the camaro is similar lol but i doubt it because the challenger is a bigger car
That’s a hard one! I enjoy both equally! The ZLE is rare and raw compared to the ZO7, but the ZO7 is still faster and you have a removable roof. I probably go with the C7 ZO6 because at the end of day, it’s GM’s halo car. But, it’s tough for sure. Thanks for watching and great question!
I really love the car! I have an order in for a 23 as well! My order is almost identical to your car! I have been waiting for a bit and would be very interested in buying your car as it is super close to the one I ordered. I will definitely love to chat with you whether this is a possibility or not. I would love to shoot you a healthy offer for your car and see what we can work out! My name is Matthew. Shoot me a message please Id love to chat. I am also a previous C7 Zo6 owner!
I’m not a big fan of rock guards (mud flaps), but considering the tires stick out a little past the fenders, it is a $100 investment in protecting your paint and the CF wing. You could also PPF the whole car for $5,000, but I wouldn’t spend that type of money on a weekend car. I had them on my other cars and they work. Thanks for watching again! Love the questions.
I get my 2023 next month the wait been worth it
That’s awesome! It will be so worth it! It is a special car for sure. Congratulations!
i got a zl1 6 speed and im in love. It's perfect
Definitely keep it!
Wait till The Collector ZL1 comes out in June July or August that's what I would wait for very limited production

keep this one - the color combo is gorgeous. still waiting on my black on black one that i ordered 14 months ago!

14 months?? Jesus christ you must be a stock/crypto investor as well lmao
@@jaycamacho8179 with new ZLE's MSRP approx the same as used, i'd rather wait and get new.
Chevvie should have spent a little more on the interior design and materials, would have taken a bigger bite out of Dodge.

Can really complain tho because these cars are better on the track than any of the competitors
I'm still debating a reg Zl1 or the 1LE. I'm just not sold on the daily ride quality on the 1LE. It def is sick tho.

It’s a track pack which is why the ride is stiff (DSSV), made for the track but stiff for the regular road!!

MSR Houston, not sure if they’re still open. It’s down 288 South near Rosharon

You should do some flip flop pedal pumping videos!
What are the brake pads your switching to? And are they better?
Powerstops, no difference than OEM. No brake dust was the best part. I’m about to swap the OEM’s on C8 ZO6 to Powerstops as well.
