Firstly thanks for your clear, friendly and interesting videos. Now I purchased a Tamiya King Tiger full option 'production turret ' kit (about 15 years ago but never touched it). My friend gave me a kick up the backside and said we should get it built. The last kits I ever did were Airfix kits when I was young and they never looked good when finished. Now I have the money to do them correct. Apart from the obvious of reading the instructions, preparing everything and taking our time what other general tips or advice would you give a novice? I'm thinking that you video on the Tiger 1 will be a good knowledge base for the process of doing a King Tiger.
I noticed in the Manuel on step 8 it didn't mention lock tight for the gearbox screws would recommend using lock tight anyway given how close they are to the gearboxes
Before I forget I'm really enjoying your videos. Thinking about getting this tank because of the movie Kelly's Heroes. Oddball buys one at the end. Iol
Hey mate, thanks for the sharing. I jus bought this rc model and started working on it. My question is, when is the best/right moment to paint the base with the base color, as in step 4 there is the painting mentioned in the instruction. I see that you don't paint until basically the end. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Hey mate, I always have found it best to do it at the end. You can do it earlier but then you might also run into the risk of scratching it. At the end of the day there is no real right or wrong way about it :)
Are on your tank the long stand up screws on the track tension also a little loose? Guess it must be a Little loose that the tension unit can easaly move up and down?
Hello, I am now building the tank but having emense problems getting to assemble the MD2 adjustment screw for tension pulley. Can’t understand how I can get those two screws tightened with the ME5 gold part and MC4 nut, I am stuck! Please help me!
Very interesting seeing the Tamiya Tiger 1 built. I have a couple of Tamiya Tanks and was wondering how you paint the tank as when I did mine I found it better to paint as you go a long, otherwise do you take some of it apart to paint.
the assembly is great tank, but it is very long, but is very enthralling do. when I join tank mine I take several days, but in the end it was great to do. Thank you so much for sharing it👍👍👌👏👍👌👏
Wonderland models of Edinburgh stock a lot of 1:16 kits and many, many others. Great advice and they have been in business since I was young (so at least 50 years then)...
Hello friend ! Please need help ! I need one new Cannon flash for my Tamiya Tiger 1 , where i found for sale ? Thanks friend , from Brasil, Rio de Janeiro . All the best .
RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 i wish the gearbox was made exactly the same way they where made for real tiger tanks, because it would make it more interesting.
+DutchRC Adventures thanks brother. You will love it. Tamiya tanks are really good and generally more prototypical then other manufacturers. Plus, they are in kit form so building them is just as fun as driving them.
Ohwwww I would Love the building part man :D I'll tell you something funny.. when I was very young I had a bad case of the flew right.. So my father got me a Kyosho car kit.. Hoping I'd have something to do for a few days.. Yeah.. I hoped so too.. But.... the build was over in 1 evening :P
Great video, a really enjoy it. Do me a favor take few pictures of how you set up the camera near work bench sent them to my FB, please. Maybe later take the video if you want it is a hot topic on YT about modelers workbenches. I'm going to make my video about my bench soon. Hvala, Bratko!
Tamiya manuals are second to none. I am blown away, world best quality but crazy prices

An Englishman building a German tank made by the Japanese. Ironic. Nice build.

+Jack Torrance the track should just touch the third road wheel. The Tamiya system isn't the best. I can never get it perfectly rigid.
