Just saw them open for TØP last night at TD and their so good. They put on a fantastic show and I became an instant fan of their music. Their music slaps!
Honestly I forgot about these earlier songs for a sec and though they do give that TØP edge, the lyrics are giving something a lot more profound imo. I know some of the members believe in Christianity and I believe Religion is aspected within the realm of spirituality originally. But like I say all of this to say, I feel more that these older TØP sounding songs are like the part of a human journey where you feel like you’re sorta lost in your darkness but you’re almost painfully aware of it and trying to bridge a gap into the healing that’s dead set on the horizon. (Dark night of the soul) Then there’s a metamorphosis in their track list where it’s just expressing these depths of feelings we all experience as people and then there’s the roundabout healing songs like move me, rest, what’s wrong, and runaway. It was never about them sounding like someone else. I think the artistic expression was just similar and there may have been some influence which is fair and not unheard of

Honestly I forgot about these earlier songs for a sec and though they do give that TØP edge, the lyrics are giving something a lot more profound imo. I know some of the members believe in Christianity and I believe Religion is aspected within the realm of spirituality originally. But like I say all of this to say, I feel more that these older TØP sounding songs are like the part of a human journey where you feel like you’re sorta lost in your darkness but you’re almost painfully aware of it and trying to bridge a gap into the healing that’s dead set on the horizon. (Dark night of the soul) Then there’s a metamorphosis in their track list where it’s just expressing these depths of feelings we all experience as people and then there’s the roundabout healing songs like move me, rest, what’s wrong, and runaway. It was never about them sounding like someone else. I think the artistic expression was just similar and there may have been some influence which is fair and not unheard of
