Thank you for this uplifting and affirming message, and for your gorgeous music-making, Jamal. Your leadership at this critical moment in Eastman's history is so appreciated. We all look forward to making music together, sitting in concert halls together, learning together, being together once again. Until then, #EastmanConnects

Beautiful...Jamal...and - the sound of the hall.. the sound of clapping by the AUDIENCE.... is haunting given today's situation. Thank you for making this available.

Thanks for sharing this moment in time, the beginning of a new era in the history of the University of Rochester and the Eastman School of Music. Who could have known how suddenly the landscape would shift and separate us from each other. I look forward to hearing many Eastman musicians who are sharing their gifts with the world. Keep contributing to Eastman Connects!

Jamal, Baritone Todd Duncan used to say in voice lessons that the artist has succeeded when tears runs down the listener's cheeks or smiles can't be suppressed. Listening to your inspired "Vocalise" known to me since Eastman brought those tears. You and your instrument sang and truly connected emotionally. I was deeply moved. Thank you for reminding me once again of the music making at ESM.

    Hello Dean Rossi -
I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. I am utterly illiterate in music. But as I always tell my boy - just because I don’t know how to cook doesn’t mean I can’t tell if something is really yummy!
This video popped up in my recommended videos because earlier I had searched for “Eastman School of Music” in TH-cam.
BTW - My boy, Anatole Keshwani, is coming to your school this coming fall as a freshman (violin performannce).
