I have four of these plants...and I love them! I live in zone 9...and these plants just bloom and bloom and bloom! I can't imagine not having these in my garden!
@Cyndee Fisher, girl I went to our local greenhouse this year. (Indiana), around April and May, and picked up the red Mandevilla and it is the most beautiful plant I have ever seen! Planted in a box not realizing it is a vine plant it has began to hug around the posts of my porch. (So cute like saying: I need a hug)! In the sun all day and watering her every night. It has a life of its own. Very beautiful plant! Shocked at how well it is doing and it has beautiful huge flowering red blooms! I hope it does well this winter when I try to bring it in. Any advice in helping it survive the winter is appreciated I really hate to cut her back she is so pretty! Thank you!
Melinda Bloomington8! Bright window...not a lot of water...after the last frost, take her back to the same spot...you might want to put a trellis in the pot as well...good luck!
I’ve the small red Mandevilla. I don’t bush it I let it run free on a tomato stand in the pot. It’s gorgeous! You said they are annuals in some areas. I live in zone 7b. Bring it in when the temps hit 50 it grows like crazy then I take it back out when the weather is warmer. It is a perennial if you treat it with care.
Why is no one showing the detail or close up. I can’t tell where you’re cutting. This is the third video I’ve tried so I’ll keep on looking. Your flowers are lovely.
When you bring the plant indoors and use it as a houseplant....we'll call that winter. I will treat it as any other indoor plant and prune when needed.
I am having a really hard time with mine. It got infested when I brought her in the house so I had to spray her and cut off all the leaves. I put her in the bathroom and in front of the window thinking the sun and the humidity would help. I now have little green growth and leafs but the leafs are turning brown. Is it the sun? Am I over/underwatering? I do not know but it is causing me a lot of heartache.
I thought we were going to learn how to trim a mandevilla like the title says!' Anyone can cut it but the where is the question duh. So, I'll just assume above the joint.

Great video! How do you make it bushy?
Is there any particular point in the stems that you need to cut above or below?
my plants froze, what are the chances that they will sprout again
Thank you! Just the information I was look for, great job.
Can grow madervila bulb?
Beautiful flowers 👌👌👌👌
Do they attract yellow jackets?
Beautiful.
Why is my mandevilla not blooming. It's planted on the ground, im in zone 5.
very nice
I trimmed my plant because it was climbing up the window and then it curled in circles. Now it will not grow or bloom, it's been 3 weeks.
When do you prune? Any particular month? I have brought it into the house over winter, can it be in any light or must it be in darkness? Please help!
Always plenty of light.
Really nice information
Very helpful! And FYI . . . You're very handsome!
We just got them.
Well explanation
Brilliant !
Great 👏👏
Thank you
When would you prune this plant in the U.K
I guess anytime you want or when it gets too leggy for the look you want. Too bad he doesn't come on here to check the messages!
Prune off any dead foliage as you see it. Also anytime besides winter for shaping
Winter where? Was wondering what zone you're talking about. If I have mine in the house over the winter I can probably prune at anytime correct?
***** Just winter. In whereever you live. The plant will ajust to whatever winter is in your zone is and make that there rest period.

That Tango 12 will not feed the hummingbirds or bees. They do not feed from any double flower.
Be kind to nature. Buy more single blossom flowers.
Why is your video so loud????
