Result for 202303 quarter aren't out for M&M while Eicher Motors has already announced. It is only fair to compare stocks with results for latest quarter on hand. At this time, based on different quarter results, Eicher motors is looking better with improving margins and slightly higher gap between fair price and market price. We would, however, suggest you to wait for March results of M&M to see if Trailing Twelve Months show turn around after two consecutive drop in performances.

When a company is not fit to be in portfolio, either because of fallling profits and/or margins or because of too little scope(less than 30%), Vivekam would not recommend buying them when investors want to build portfolios. However, when investors walk in with existing portfolios, we don't suggest immediate liquidation of such shares, if their market price is below fair price. That implies shares ought not be in one's portfolio are already there and deserves to be sold out too, if you want to restructure portfolios with healthy stocks sooner. We call them Switch because some investors have emotional attachment to some of the poorly performing stocks.

Please check back after March results. It is a growth stocks with 39% scope to fair price, based on 202212 results. Its PEG ratio is only 0.19 indicating good enough for long term holding too.

All analysts don't follow the same process. PEG can be calculated using estimated growth or growth in last three years or growth in last 5 years or even moving average growth of last N years. We will soon come out with a case study on effectiveness of how effective was our approach in one of our videos. Probably in July 2023. We commend your serious attention paid to ratios. Please keep up the spirit to question whenever you find some anamoly. We appreciate feed backs like this.

We will do it after most stocks announce their results. But, remember when shortlisted stocks move up in price, they fall down in order of under-priced growth stocks. That is why the list is dynamic to capture price changes in market and operational performance changes every quarter.

Never wish to see fair prices reached. Instead, look for stocks to keep doing well so as to stay in portfolio and reap larger benefits. You can only pick good stocks but will never be able to push prices up. Our duty is to keep portfolio healthy with quality stocks. In the long run, process has proven empteen times to beat benchmark Nifty by a margin of 7-8%, which is impressive enough to pursue.
Sir many times you were suggesting to get out of the stock when it reaches its fair price. Ultimately what an investor should do, wait for the fair price or exit with returns linked to index. Tough call for an ordinary investor to constantly monitor what are the index returns and then to exit. When process fixes some fair price common investors obviously look for the stock to reach it’s fair price

All Time High has to be seen in relation to workings. Purely relying on ATH is for traders and speculators, not for serious long term investors.

Please don't hope to time the markets when you are buying for long term. If the gap between fair and market prices is significant, one can buy and hold it till market price catches up fair price. Both these stocks are low liquidity stocks, but are doing reasonably well in operations. TCI looks good with March results announced for short to medium term with gap between fair and market prices at 60%. However, with PEG at 1.04 it seems to have limited upside on longer term basis. Aavas announced march results and looks good for both short to medium term and long term with scope of only 29% in short term but PEG ratio at 0.41 much below threshold of 1.

Different people follow different approaches to assign fair prices, if they do. Vivekam's fair price model is IPR protected and can't be publicly discussed, though outcome of the process is widely known to all it's clients.
Sir, how to calculate fair price for any stock ?? Please Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please
We spent an estimated Rs 12 crores to build a model that considers several parameters to come out with fair price based on working results and recent price levels of stocks. We had to spend more than 100 man years of effort to come up with robust model. Still, we find we are able to judge the possible price ranges only to the extent of 81.7%, which is good too. Explaining the process in a way to be understood by retail investors is very very difficult and not worth publicly discussing.
Sir while informing the process and calculating value of opportunity lost , you are taking base year as 2020 when markets fell 50%. Obviously when you compare 2020 prices with current prices the growth will be phenomenal as can be observed from the returns of any mutual fund in the last 3 years. Whereas if you compare 2 year returns it will be much less.
For an effective set of rules, alpha should be positive for most time frames and particularly for longer periods. Our processes have been mandated to pick up the maximum lost opportunity for any client's portfolio to impress upon the cost of lost opportunity. Build strong portfolios, make sure only strong stocks stay in portfolio and leave the returns to market and time. That is what we preach and practice.
