I used to watch Super GT to fall asleep, now I'm really into the racing and can't fall asleep anymore

I do both. It's weird but I can watch Super GT videos super intently for the whole duration. Or if I want I can play a video and fall asleep to his relaxing voice and the droning of the vehicles.

I have well over 100hrs in the game and still haven't completed all the challenges and every variation of the world circuits
They likely have this race on GT7 right now because the 6 hrs of Watkins Glen just happened and would have happened around the same time last year. Looks like GT7 is starting to run parallel to the real world race calendar.
And Laguna seca was the previous round of IMSA too.
Would be nice to follow it and have a calendar to follow. Imagine having a 24 hours of le mans in Gran turismo the same time the RL race is going on.

That first race was so glorious to watch. I need to really work hard to get out of DR C. My hours of lapping normally make me the fastest in a lobby, but there is always SOMEONE to ruin the race for you
This week's race is gold, just like the one from last year. This one is more interesting though because the difference between the softs and the hards is greater than what it was last year with the softs and the mediums. However, at the Glen in a race like this, I would recommend everyone to signal when entering the pits so it brings attention to yourself that you are pitting so you can save yourself and others.
You can see their line when entering pit. They literally have to stay right so they don't cut pit lane limits

This is definitely one of my favorite races so far. I like watching you and Rory, learning strategy. I did 5 laps on hards and 5 on softs and it worked well for me, might try 4/6 next.
Since just watching you the last week, you have helped me improve my time on a few tracks by following along with how you explain the racing line.
Got into Q3 again and then uploaded. What a legend 🐐
The content is just superb as always. Obviously good racing is good racing, but I LOVE the little progression from avoiding qualifying to getting into it and just the strategy even in these normal length races. I can't wait for the live streams, the camera setup is immaculate, loving the hair (matching with Mr. Broadbent???), your content has captivated me so quickly. Of course the commentary is also top notch, you're so laid back, calm, and collective. It's just an absolute PLEASURE to watch.

Guessing the same guy who designed Sardegna (particularly the version used in the credit grind race)
@@High.on.Life_DnBSardegna isn't real but Watkins Glen is and yeah the pitlane is very narrow. In real racing a lot of incidents can happen on that final corner

I really feel that fuel error. I did the same thing on the last round of the Nations Championship at Grand valley and it cost me the championship. Ended up 4th equal but came 1st in NZ. 😂
Yup, it's painful. It seems so minor to begin with but then you realise all the positions and time you've lost!
On GT7 there is a slipstream effect back to about 1.5 secs, and it gets stronger below about 0.7-0.8 sec. The 0.75 sec limit is a GT Sport thing
Videos like these have inspired me to get a ps4 and gran tourismo 7.
Hey Super GT, in this video you made a surprising and very interesting point: "Starting from fifth rather than 15th should help" (to have a much better race). Could you maybe elaborate on this point in a subsequent video, I find the concept highly intriguing, but cant quite see how it would work 🤔 And thanks for an excellent video as usual!

Last year it was the BMW and the Newer Hyundai that had just come out for this race. This was the first race of this track. First race I was getting results from and I went from a mid B rating to a low A rating. I think I could get A+ if I just consistently did races but I’ve only done about 100 on gt sport and 50 on GT7
The dyed hair makes you look like a member of the Backstreet Boys. You can decide yourself if that's good or bad.

yea for the first time think i'll be going regular edition, have had to many car passes/expantions I really didn't care for.... as long as you can acquire VIP separately it will be all I'm interested in (tends to be a nice booster) hopefully they still have that system where if there's 1 car in a DLC you like you can toss them 3 bucks to get just that car :P

Hi! Great video's and great driving. very satisfying to watch:) I have a question, i recently started playing this game (my first realistic racing game) and i turned all the assists off. But what about ABS? Is it more realistic to turn it off or have it on weak. What is better to become a good sim racer.

Yup, not the best two races in terms of strategy here. Fueled when not needed and got undercut massively. That's how you learn though I guess.

In my 2nd account from 🇯🇵 I won Watkins Glen C Race but no good results in my main account, only one top 5 but I feel good driving at the Glen, in Manufacturers at the Glen I had a top 5 from the last row because I had a bad qualy.

The Daytona bus stop was added back in '73 and it's now called the Le Mans chicane... and get this, the Spa bus stop was literally a Bus Stop.

What's funny is you think Steve is supposed to call it what you expect. The Daytona and Spa bus stops have been installed decades before Watkins, and he doesn't call them the bus stop everytime he plays. Get TF over yourself mate.

Morning, some advice please. What do you consider to be the best steering wheel for using with GT7 or ACC. There are so many some help would be much appreciated. Enjoy your videos very much. Thanks a lot.
Depends what you define as best. If we're talking pure raw FFB, fanatec csl or DS series is the best for the money.
But if you're on a budget. Stick with Logitech g29 for sake of simplicity and ease of use. So, if you don't like the hobby, u can easily sell or return it without much loss

Its all in the throttle/brake application. Shocking amounts of time in your footwork. At least if you're anything like most people.
My advice is to try coming off the brake slightly earlier. You'd be surprised how much speed you can carry, especially in the GTR
