El Presidente Cocktail With Modern Approach

- The El Presidente is a cocktail with a lot of history that embodies the spirit of Cuban mixology, so today I’ll teach you how to make it, 3 different ways! We’ll start in 1915 with one that has bitters added, moving then to a 1927 version with equal parts rum and vermouth, and finishing with my modern approach with grenadine caviar for a stunning presentation. If you are a fan of the El Presidente, or if you’re just a fan of history, pull up a chair and get comfortable. Let’s prove you can enjoy a spirit-forward cocktail in the Caribbean too, it’s Cocktail Time!

10! It's the only cocktail with Grenadine I enjoy, but maybe I haven't tried good grenadine yet 😅
Its a 10 I have loved the el presidente cocktail for years. Its a beautifully balanced spirit forward rum cocktail. That is the style of cocktail I enjoy most.
If I drink an El Presidente, I’m Havana good time 😉
Chef John has entered the chat.
How u felt saying that 😈👿👹👺
I love this cocktail! My go-to spec at work has become 3 parts rum, 2 parts Lillet Blanc, 1 part Grand Marnier and a barspoon of Grenadine, with orange peel for garnish.
This drink elicits fond memories of a pub crawl for me and my friend's birthdays some years back. As my birthday was drawing to a close and his starting, I ordered him an El Presidente and just watched his reaction to having it for the first time. Ah, good times!
One of my all time favorites 🍸

Nice video, as always. 🍸
Thanks for that!
🍸well done. I guess its time for me to bring caviar into my cocktail game... have you made other flavors you enjoyed ?
I made one using agar agar for a baklava cocktail episode. 🥂
🎉
Well then, a very classy trio we have here 🍸
Greg from HTD went off the rails once in the "Chains Of America - Chillies" video and made a reverse Manhattan variant under the name "El Presidente Margarita" using Añejo Tequila, but used Ximenes Sherry instead of vermouth. Patrón Citronge was 22.5mL. That might need retweaking, but he did find a way to express agave spirits in a unique way. Salut.
Thank you for sharing. I will check that out. Cheers!
@@KevinKos hint: the brandy there was "El Presidente" in the "sour", but we got this masterwork brainstorm instead.
Eeee moj sosed, ti si car😀😀🍸

Gee! Fear of finding some errors while watching the episodes came true. Don't know why the book at the beginning didn't render through. Sorry guys!
