The reason to buy a laser printer is the toner cartridge. Inkjets are awful in ink shelf life. These Can last you up to 3 years and since they have no ink so no clogging.
I live this printer, it came with 6 months free ink delivery which literally makes it pay for itself. So easy to use and the prints are crisp and clear

Or maybe one of those HP inkjets AIOs which include the first 6 months of HP Instant Ink for free? I like color printouts, but I like a compact design and low consumables cost even more. And I absolutely need a scanner (I use it for product images when I sell items on eBay).
I really wanted to see WiFI working. My 10 yr old HP 1102-w was a real workhorse, but WiFi was a nightmare. I want some proof HP have gotten better with regards to Wifi, before I even consider buying a new one. Look at reviews on Amazon of just about any new printer, there are always horror stories. HP is no exception. I was really hoping to see some proof this thing works as advertised in your video, beyond simple usb setup.
I really don't expect a reply but I'm desperate. I have the above printer. MFP M29W wireless. I was printing and the printer ran out of paper I put more paper in and it didn't resume printing. the yellow caution light was flashing, the blue antenna connection light and the digital read out said Er 01. I got the error msg to clear and the yellow flashing caution light. I can't get the blue antenna light to stop flashing and it won't print. I know the ink isn't low. This is the second time this has happened when it ran out of paper. I opened the cartridge tray, pulled it out and put it back in. It still won't print. i'm an ebay seller and need to print shipping labels now. Can you help!?
I haven’t made my way through the entire video yet but question- before I forget- does this NEED a software set up? I’m seeking something just to make copies. Scan and copy basically with NO wireless set up. My client is 93 and she just needs to makes scans and copies of documents.
YEah, that's the real question. USB is easy, but Wifi reliability on printers is still a HUGE issue, even after companies have had over a decade to figure this stuff out. Nightmare stories about wifi not functioning as advertised are everywhere, and every brand of printer still seem to have issues.
Yes, it comes with toner. When I bought an HP inkjet printer in the past, I had half full the cartridge. Yesterday I bought an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w and when I checked the toner with HP software, it showed me 100%.
This is going to sound stupid to most but I have NEVER used or even seen a laser printer in action. I have no idea how the ink works for these. Where does your color come from?
There is no color for most laser printers. There is no ink involved either. Toner is used instead, which is basically powder that gets burned onto the page with the laser. These exist for people who need max black and white document printing output or who don't use thier printer very often. Ink cartridges dry out over time even when not in use. Toner can last over 2 years without being used. Hop this helps. I'm learning too.
@@hardcorextreme I decided to watch some vids on laser printers. Basically they work on the same principle of powder coating. Electrostatic charging the paper, spraying a powder on it, then hitting it with a laser to heat that powder to embed it into the paper.

The wifi feature can be disabled? That's what I'm looking for, I don't want it continually searching for a signal as I will connect it to the PC with a USB cable.

I have this one and I love it, my 7-year-old boy uses it without any problem from his tablet, I really recommend it

Click the copy button, it should print the standard size.

It should scan whatever color the document contains, however it will copy in black and white.

What button do I press to scan and copy?? Very frustrated!!!
If you want to copy something, just press the button with 2 pages. If you want to scan, you need to use the HP Smart software.
