Note: This is the early contributors version of the demo, some of the bugs/effects seen in this version are very likely to be fixed in the upcoming public version.

In case anyone was wondering about my system specs ( as if, to know how the game may perform to their own computers ), here's what was my system at the time of the making of this video: i5 6600K at 4.4Ghz, GTX1070, 16GB RAM.

I think at least one fireman survived; Molly Brown put her coat on him in a lifeboat, sources say.
All three funnels here are smoking; would all the boilers have been lit when moored? She wouldn't need more than a handful to feed the dynamos surely

I like the character walking around and talking he brings out the gentleman of that time period. It’s sad how such a beautiful ship would sink on her maiden voyage. Then see images of what it looks like now at 2 and 1/2 miles beneath the North Atlantic.

I don't play video games, but I positively love this! So absolutely beautiful. Heaven help me, it's as if I am actually there.
I know, doesn't it feel as though you can stretch out your hand and touch everything? Can't wait for the finished game, when the ship will be full of people to talk to! I believe we'll get the chance to hear many stories from the lives of passengers of all classes. It will be a fascinating experience, I'm sure!

This is the best main menu screen I've ever seen. The ship in the background is perfect.
Man this game is really incredible. I love that someone is putting effort into recognizing the horror of the Titanic sinking, but also it's incredible beauty before it hit the berg. This ship was absolutely incredible. Beautiful. And now within ten years, all that will be left of it is a rust stain on the bottom of the ocean. Ionization is catching up to her. She's going to be dead and gone soon.
Anybody who has the once in a lifetime chance of seeing her with their own eyes should jump at the opportunity. I'd kill for the chance to see the wreck...
An enchanting evening I declare. What wonders and romance may this glory bestow upon her passengers by its final destination. Please don't spoil the ending, I'm sure it will be full of unleashed surprises and breathtaking experiences for one and all. Exquisite.

The boat sinks.
I do expect a wondrous journey full of exploration and most sobering wonders as we make the crossing. Like as not we might happen upon a whale, out in the ocean! Perchance it might be a beautiful humpback whale, which are traditionally very friendly and take very kindly to the human presence. And somewheres out in the distance, mayhap on a foggy cold morning, our eyes might catch sight of an iceberg or two, visible out yonder in the distance, I should hope. Mayhap veiled heavily by fog and cloud. I should be most displeased to see an iceberg so close to this ship. Truth though, I do not expect to see any near by, for we are traveling a route closely watched and monitored and observed for such obfuscations, lest they imperil the journey or, God be good, the ship and all lovely souls on it. And yet, the ocean flows, or so I'm told. Ha ha! The ocean certainly does flow... And so one must be ready for any eventuality.
And it goes without saying that on the deck, we shall pass no small numbers of lovers, both young and elderly, enjoying their time together in these most beautiful of accommodations.
Ah, the joy of young love in such a place! Imagine it. A party below with drinks and such, but above... The stars! A hundred million gloriously bright stars all around, reflected in this perfectly calm sea. I can scarcely wait for tonight! That will be a sight - the stars and moon, in all their glorious millions, and the mighty ball of Luna, observing us all in an almost matronly, motherly light, reflected as in a mirror in a placidly calm, quiet, subdued sea... It would be like a mirrored image.
And when we return inside to warm up, all of the good hot food and drinks which both a man and a woman could ever ask for. Delicious! I fancy myself a scotch on the rocks kind of fellow, myself... But, yes. I've always said that even the pleasure yachts of ye old kings and ancient emperors in days gone by could not claim to possess such a ship, filled with these remarkable comforts and necessities. All offered to us though, tonight, on this finest chilly April night. This is without a doubt the most beautiful ship that has ever supported men above water. This journey shall be a thrilling one through and through and I am quite sure I will remember every minute of it until the day I die.
Now I must go about finding myself a date!

Unless your character has Parkinson's disease, this doesn't look remotely accurate. The shakiness is even worse than games made 30 years ago, and believe it or not, thousands of people were on Titanic. It wasn't some guy walking around alone with bubbles of info popping up in front of them. You can see that in Titanic:Adventure out of Time. Those guys made that game in 19 months in 1996. This one has been in production for 11 years, 132 months. They should have been able to replicate the Titanic on a smaller scale and just invite people on board by now.

Me :) Finished it a few times with only finding only some of the required items you needed to find, just to see all the various endings :)
What could help this project work for schools is customizeable lessons so teachers/professors can tailor it to their students needs individually. They can show what they want. The problem with the edutainment games of the 90s was the content was NOT customizable so teachers had no use for it. It was just a reward thing only for kids who did good in their regular lessons.

I'm sure we'll be able to do just that in the completed game. At this point, though, the Britannic hull wouldn't be too recognizable. Probably just making it's way up to the waterline I'd imagine.

This is the most amazing heartbreaking thing I’ve ever seen it’s surreal it’s as if your in the actual ship
This game has been in production for 132 months. To put into perspective how much of a scam this is, a team of developers managed to use 1996 stone age technology and create Titanic: Adventure Out of Time in 19 months. And it is no less lonely than this game. Historically, if you're getting on the Titanic, there are people there. Thousands of them. There's music playing from pianos, people talking, and actual drama going on. You're not just walking around the ship like there's no one there (in 2023, how would you even explain that scenario?).
Interestingly, the popup bubbles come up on Titanic: Adventure Out of Time, too, and it's basically just a tour of the ship with a mystery going on at the time. The camera is no less shaky than this one created 27 years later.
If you want to take virtual tours of the Titanic, they're everywhere online. You can see the actual ship reanimated as well. There's no reason whatsoever to continue giving these people tens of thousands of dollars to create a game in production for 11 years. If you haven't been able to complete this by now, you never will, and even if you did, it's not worth it. In the 11 years since this was started, people have already re-animated the ship and done a better job than this. And I'd argue that if this is the finished product, the 1996 game actually looks better compared to the standards of its own day than this. In some parts, it looks like you outright ripped from that game. So hopefully after grifting on people for over a decade, you'll get sued.

If the 90s education games had tailoring lessons that were customizing individually teachers would've had a lot more use.Imagine Oregon Trail (6th) edition being customized to be part of a teaching class so it will flow with the lesson instead of disrupting it. The other problem was teachers were old and from a generation that didn't understand computers so saw them nothing more then toys for boys. Usually principals about to retire or women who didn't grow up or want to know about computers.

I tried to play the demo, but my pc just couldn't handle it, it's just to slow for it. Still it's very beautifull and stunning to see this on TH-cam. I can imagine how big this game will be. At this moment only 6% of floor space is playable in the demo and it already takes up to 11GB of space on the hard disk. I think that when the game is complete you are going to need at least 250GB for the entire game...
I loved Titanic: Adventure out of Time and in those days it was all we had. Very funny that you see the purser from that game peeking through the window on 21:38 although I'm not sure this is in the demo or if it was done by the maker of this video...It does bring back memories to the good old AooT hahahaha !
I hope that when the game will be released I have a better pc because I definitly want to play this when it's done...

These looks like the same graphics as the recently developed On The Road Truck Simulator on Steam. It's update 0.60 made all the difference for that title and looks really promising. Northern Alex has two videos of an earlier build where he had little to no hopes for the title as it was so buggy. Then the update came and while it still isn't perfect it's a lot more playable.

That moment when you enter the dining saloon.... It's shadowy parts look so real. Does anyone know what type of software is used to make it look so real? It looked so accurate it was kind of spooky when I saw it.

The music is part of the game. The Devs said it would be released with the game. I believe if you contribute $50+ on titanichg.com you get the soundtrack free once the game is released, along with your name and [I believe] a free copy of the full game.
This demo is scarier than the alone in the dark or silent hill. Such a big ship with hardly anyone around. Fuck.
HOW ACCURATE is this? I mean more along the line as the rooms, corridors, closets, etc that we never seen any ACTUAL photo's of.. Are those based on GUESSES or some how they were able to get actual AUTHENTIC information?? Even blueprints would not even go to that extreme detail...

I know that the people who are making this game, have some of the best Titanic historians in their team. Certainly some stuff must be based on educated guesses, but it can't get any closer than this.
It'd very accurate.
Plans for a start. Then they go looking for photos of Titanic then and the wreck. Then when they can't find what they want they go to Olympic, then other White Star/H&W ships. Then ships from the time.
It's a list of educated guesses after that but educated guesses from the height of experts in the field. Very top people advising them.
This is as close as you can get. Very few photos survive from the Titanic's interior, but many exist from the her almost identical twin sister ship Olympic. Also, they have access to footage of the wreck which still contains traces of what the rooms used to look like. In some cases, they do have to do guess work. But most of the time, they have legitimate reasons for making it look like what they did.
I've just watched the developers update videos. There have been some updates on the accuracy of the interior of the ship.

Could you get this game to have (both) versions of the sinking where one mode is the historically accurate (lower angle) and the next mode would be the one we grew up on with the steeper tilt. Also there is passengers that said it had a steeper tilt.
+Kyle Hill The uploader of this video didn't make the game, and no, the final game will not include the version of the sinking from the film as it's deemed inaccurate these days. This game's prime goal is accuracy.

Looks facinating, though I've never played nor understood games. I'm heavy into sims. I wish there was a sim with this level of detail (I suppose modeling Titanic's operating parameters would be a … titanic task (sorry). You'd have to do the bridge and the engine room, from the wheel to the stokers, a couple thousand valves and levers and so forth.)

Some of his lines are insanely awkward. Like "I don't like sand" awkward. Especially since he's speaking to himself all over the ship while there seems to be some other people on board.

I recently got a new hp laptop. I downloaded this demo and tried to play it. It lags like crazy. It looks like I won't be able to play the game at all.

Hello Steve, the version of the demo in this video was the pre-release for backers of the game, and it has some differences from the one publicly available. Don't worry you're not missing anything secret, the public release is better than this version.

The clock on the main Grand Staircase should be 'Honour and Glory crowning Time' Looks like you've used Olympic's clock instead of Titanic's.
This is the smaller aft Grand staircase, not the main one. The clock on that staircase was less elaborate.
Greg Lyris I did wonder about that Greg, Thank you. What confused me was that the character 'Robin' entered forward on the starboard side. Given the labyrinth of corridors and whatnot, the must have confused my spatial orientation.
+RCBM Olympic and Titanic had the same clocks in their Grand Staircases/Aft Grand Staircases. In fact, there's no photographs of Titanic's Grand Staircase, only Olympic's.
Matt is correct. There is actually been some debate among some historians about if the clock itself was even installed on Titanic prior to her sailing.

perhaps with the ability to try yourself which action to take with the ship once you knock him down! but you have to be at the right place/time to trigger it or the normal cousre happens. .

How did you get the demo?

How about driving the street car as a mini game? You ferry passengers to the waiting vessel and earn extra money/XP whatever the game has. You could use that extra money to upgrade to a higher class. If so I'd be playing the *street car game* a lot.
And as a joke how about Sea Gull Simulator where you pick a Sea Gull and fly it to view the area from up high and then dive bomb on people and give the Titanic some bird presents. :) Watch out below! I mean with so many birds they shouldn't be just background FX as that just makes the file size larger then necessary.

how about the ability as a timed side quest to knock the quartermaster off to stop him turning the ship when the iceberg is spotted.

Jonathan Erno you are right. That because this video is captured in 30 frames per second. 60 frames per second is the minimum one needs for a good experience, with 120 frames per second ideal.
I really wish the narrator would stop talking. His random dialogue adds nothing to the game and it kills the immersion. Most of the time when he chimes in he needlessly rambles on about something either really stupid or completely irrelevant. Just stop dude. You're ruining the whole experience lol.
The "narrator" is included in the game. It isnt the channel guy.
