Does the design of the steering rack have the same effect as it relates to the shims? I refer to a steering rack where the links are connected to the front compared to one that's connected under like the Mugen's own.
right now most drivers use 16,5 to 17,5 degree of steering angle, measured on teh OUTSIDE WHEEL (not inside wheel). This I can tell you from the side of Mugen Seiki drivers!
Thanks for the very good video and explanation.. I have just don´t understand why more ackermann will react quicker in the very first moment. Can you explain? Thanks again
Thanks for the quick reply :) I have just learn from another TH-cam video that more ackermann reduce the outside tire drag giving the car more yaw moment. Maybe this is why the car rotates better in the very initial steering :)
Thank you Patrick for all your videos. This is another very helpful information.
I have been watching all your set up videos. So helpful. I will be rechecking some of my setup after some of these.
Thank you and I am happy that the videos help you so much!
This is better than most real car demos thanks I'm in process of sorting my steering rack position
Excellent! Thank you.
Thank you, this is a perfect explanation!
Very straightforward and easy to follow. Other videos on this get too far into the weeds. Great job!
Thank you Patrick!

Bravo 👏

Does this same principle also apply to off road cars well?
Toni, my man! Where is that fancy red MST from preview? You show us some other non drift car.
Cheers Mate.
Hi, is there a recommended steering angle degree for EP 1/10 TC?
right now most drivers use 16,5 to 17,5 degree of steering angle, measured on teh OUTSIDE WHEEL (not inside wheel). This I can tell you from the side of Mugen Seiki drivers!
This will change the toe too when moving the inner ball stud to make this adjustment correct?
Yes there will be a minimal change in toe as well so always check that after you changed some shims on teh Ackermann!
@@ToniSport-Newsfeed thank you I’m on asphalt and I have a bunch of under steer I think I’m gonna try this
yes try but dot go crazy with the amount you change. Too mucgh steering angle is not what we want as the car is stressing the tires too much then!
@@ToniSport-Newsfeed ok I’ll make sure to only do a small adjustment and go from there thanks again

It is just what I feel :-) If that is also a FACT I don`t know 100% ;-)
