I’ve read that Alan Jackson was a fighter jet mechanic in the Air Force. He has a BS degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering. After obtaining his engineering degree, he went to Pepperdine Law School in Malibu, CA. Jackson knows more about speed, acceleration, mass, force & momentum; compared to the accident reconstruction officer. It appears the guy has forgotten all of his physics definitions & equations to determine important information. When you calculate speed, acceleration, weight or mass, force, momentum, etc; you need information from the previous math equations. If you do not know the weight, acceleration, speed, force or acceleration; you will not be able to calculate momentum.

John got up after he was hit in the arm by the SUV going 24MPH. His injuries to his arm were caused by the taillight and his fall to the asphalt. He made it to his feet, glanced at the SUV and saw Karen’s evil eyes peering over the seat. Disoriented from his alcohol consumption and the impact, he fell down again, cracking his head on the curb, asphalt, or frozen ground. He got up again, bleeding profusely and losing consciousness. He pulled his phone out of his pocket as he began staggering towards the home for help. He was valiantly trying to survive this maniacal woman as she smirked in the same manner we’ve witnessed in court. Unfortunately,
John only made it 15-20 feet before dropping his phone and falling to his final resting spot. He was alive for hours afterwards as brain swelling and hypothermia caused his agonizing, slow death. While John struggled to move, Karen anxiously sat on her couch hoping hours would pass without a cop knocking at the door. She knew if they did, she would go to prison for over a decade.
All the evidence points to this, even the location of the taillight pieces. The taillight pieces, only 2 to 3 in total initially, fell to the asphalt and were ran over multiple times by first responders and the traveling public before the snowplow came by in the late morning, pushing the snow and everything underneath it onto a wide area of the front lawn.
The prosecution made a huge mistake with their theory of the case. It was impossible to recreate this murder, yet that is exactly what they tried to do for this jury. No jury is going to buy the story the Trooper Paul was selling. I’m still holding out hope for a conviction, but after Trooper Paul, I’m a lot less confident than I was. I’m 90% sure she’ll be convicted of manslaughter and DUI causing death, at a minimum. She’ll cool her heels in prison for at least a decade before parole for the death and given the post-indictment victimization of dozens of others.

@prisonersdilemma939 Nah, that's weak af. If that diabolical, she would've headed home and cleaned her SUV. Then she would've faked a hangover, pretending to wake up late the next day. She would've subsequently played dumb, acting as if she couldn't remember what had happened. And, by then, her BAC would've registered below 0.08. The CW should've stuck with "This was a accident by a drunk woman." But second-degree murder wasn't sellable, given both her behavior and the ME's cause of death as UNDETERMINED. Veh. man. is gone too, since it was stated that the death wasn't accidental. If I'm not mistaken, the bald guy with Down's Syndrome said so.

I know that Karen thought about taking a plea for 16 months, I think only a fool wouldn’t consider it when you’re facing years of incarceration. I do find myself wondering if they upped the charge to 2nd degree intentional murder to “punish” her for taking this trial. If I were on her team, I would request no lesser includeds. No manslaughter. All or nothing. There is ZERO percent chance she is convicted of 2nd degree.

I'm guessing upped charge cause who her lawyer is and he's a cop. I also think the more they could pile in her both evidentiary as well as charging, helps to deflect any bad acts by others involved, regardless of their intentions or level of involvement. Deflection was motive. "He's a COP and she's a BITCH. THEY WERENT GETTING ALONG AND SOMEONE ELSE WANTED HER" THEY never thought about the whole situation to others view..only saw themselves and panicked cause even with a group of them they're still boxes of rocks. Sick of cops placed on pedestals.

Idk to me those text messages between Karen and John sounded like the kind of fights you have at the end of a relationship. Karen didn't sound crazy jealous to me, it seemed like she wanted him to tell her he was interested in someone else or that he was done so they could just move on. If he was interested in someone else she wouldn't have to feel guilty about leaving the kids. These texts combined with the texts with Brian Higgins really don't show any motive to me. I also keep going back to the fact that she told the paramedics that they had fought the night before. If this were an act of jealousy or anger why would you volunteer that information at the crime scene? It also is super annoying to get like real, important evidence this late in the game! I don't understand why they called a thousand meaningless witnesses before bringing in these text messages.

The texts between Karen Reed and John O'Keefe read as a woman trying to pin him down. She seems to be trying to get him to break up with her or prove his commitment and profess his love.
He seems like he has no plans and is just seeing how things turn out. Or he wants to break up with her, but it isn't because he needs her to help him with the kids. It's hard to tell with him.

Doesn’t want to fight but is the one who is starting arguments and is just unhappy about held accountable. Over the course of the trial he looks more and more like an awful boyfriend.

John didn't seem like he was mature enough either so just a very unhealthy and toxic relationship.

The big issues w this case is that his injuries DO NOT match being hit by a 7,00O pound car. He had NO bruising, NO broken bones, NO injuries below the neck. He had two black eyes, blunt force trauma to the BACK of the head and no blood found on any curb showing that he hit his head. He had lacerations to his face and PUNCTURE wounds to the arm and yet NOTHING was on the SUV, no DNA, NO SKIN, NO BLOOD. I believe the information the informant brought forward and it matches their behavior almost identical. He was beaten up by Colin who had swollen knuckles, by Brian Albert who didn’t show his face after he was found, he threw up and convulsed on the basement floor…basement floor was ripped up. Etc etc etc etc…..I can go on and on but there is more suspicious activity showing they did this than Karen. That's more likely than this elaborate cover up where they left him on their own lawn ( but that is a good defense to try). She was probably drunk ( that's why she went to the waterfall and didn't remember going to the Albert's, bc if she did remember dropping him there than they should have been one of if not the first place to go out the first people to reach out to) and she had no idea she side swiped him at all.... That's probably less likely to notice than hitting someone dead on... Especially when backing up I would think that's easier to not notice. In the end I believe it was an accident, if anything at all it should have been charged just as that.... Even though they lost trust with the investigation they still have to try to get some justice for John's family... Definitely shouldn't have uped the charges like that though.

But I find it very hard to believe that no one saw him coming out of the home that night, no one saw an over 6 ft man laying in the snow? The snowplow driver didn’t see him either…. Then their messages about how long to die in cold? That’s really weird (& time stamps work for every trial in history except this one) by bringing in that witness for 1 case, the commonwealth gives reasonable doubt to every future case, this is a weird testimony. Then you have them saying that they didn’t see him in the home, rehoming the dog that they had for years, getting rid of the carpet in the basement, etc. but on the other hand, it’s very hard to believe so many ppl would part of a cover up!
Truthfully I’m starting to believe that him and his wife did see him in the home and something happened and they tried to blame it on Karen. Not everyone has to be involved…. Just those 2. He could have not been seen in the snow bc he wasn’t there to see until they put him there. & no one else knew anything about it at all… they only know that he was dead the next morning and then someone plants that it was Karen.
I would not put it past a cop at all to put someone they harmed outside and blame it on a drunk person, especially if no one else saw anything. Bc no one say anything…. So I don’t think it’s this elaborate cover up, bc it’s not elaborate; there’s lots of holes, possible evidence, etc. but if the cop harmed him and no one seen it he could easily put him in the snow and say he believed it was Karen, and then he personally charged Karen. It would be that simple, since no one seen anything. It’s just a lot of crazy incidences happening with them that align with the defense too. Gosh it’s like insane.
Regardless, idk how anyone could convict bc there’s enough reasonable doubt to sink a continent. 🤷‍♀️

    I’ve also been thinking a lot…
If I’m going to look at things through the “coverup” lens, I don’t actually think it matters much to me _when_ JM googled her ‘hos long’ query. I don’t.
Because if we’re going with the theory for a minute that the McAlbert clan are the ones who took OJO’s life, I don’t have any reason to believe JM had any hands on culpability in his actual passing. I would assume she puppeteered the aftermath, however, and googling any question of any potential ‘reason’ for OJO to have passed in order to ‘cover up’ what actually happened wouldn’t be out of the question in my mind.
Like… she could have spent the entire morning deciding on a narrative to sort of push with law enforcement as well as KR, to take any potential future heat off her, her family, and her friends.
So let’s say something happened between OJO and some of the guys that night, hypothetically, it wouldn’t surprise me if JM was googling well into the morning _after_ OJO was found to try to maybe get some sort of idea of potential ways he _could have_ passed that didn’t involve her loved ones taking his life.
You know, like, stay silent until he’s found, so none of us look like we were involved…
And then let’s say she did Google ‘hos long’ at the scene with Karen. In theory, that could have been her shining moment, like, “Aha! Yes Karen, you’re right, he may have died of hypothermia…
Goooooood call…. Let’s dig into that shall we?” While wiping sweat off her brow. And then it actually wouldn’t be that suspicious of her to be googling those queries at that time because she would just be ‘helping Karen.’
My point is that if we take the coverup theory and say the McAlbert clan took OJO’s life, I really don’t put much stock into when JM made these Google searches, because her making them after finding John don’t necessarily tell me she wasn’t involved in some way.
I *really* try to look at everything in life objectively and fairly, and I make sure to go into every trial I watch as unbiased as I can be, starting at zero: innocent thus far.
I still can’t say confidently KR wasn’t involved, and I still can’t say confidently the Alberts and McCabes weren’t involved. So I’m not saying I think one way or the other.
But I can say that I wouldn’t be able to vote for a guilty verdict for KR at this point, this trial has been a circus, LE truly dropped the ball here, and it just gives me no confidence in knowing that police officers and investigators of all kinds actually have integrity on a whole.
This just goes to show, this stuff happens more than we realize.
As much as Lally’s ridiculous questions and ‘what, if anys’ bother me to no end, his ‘sort ofs’ get me even more heated.
I swear if I never hear Adam Lally say ‘sort of’ again, it’ll be too soon 😒
And honestly, the CW trying to get ahead of and defend the defense’s theories instead of just trying the case… just isn’t helping a thing. It makes them look shaky, tbh.

The frightening thing is that he has appeared in other cases masquerading as an expert in road accident reconstruction, and by inference kinematics and dynamics.

The texts showed that Karen Read is a classic Bunny Boiler. JOK had, according to his children, told her repeatedly to leave his home because the relationship had “run its course” and was “toxic.” Children said that she refused to leave and would chase after JOK, screaming at him. She wasn’t invited to the night out, his friends can’t stand to be around her, so she lied, saying she was going out drinking when she appeared at the bar in Canton. She didn’t want JOK to go to the Alberts because she didn’t feel welcome, but he went anyway. She flew into a rage and backed her car into him, leaving him to die in the cold.
She was with him when he died after lying, saying that she left him in the Waterfall Bar. She only admitted to having brought him to the Alberts after she knew she had been seen. Read claimed that she hit him to numerous people, even saying to her own father that she definitely “struck something.”
Read only invented the conspiracy story after she bought Alan Jackson for $1,000,000.
Read is a liar. She lied about the state of her relationship with John, she lied about events in Aruba, she lied about having driven him to the Alberts, she lied about how many drinks she had drank and she lied about going home to Mansfield.
Read was a cheat. She tried to start something with her bf colleague, even turning up at his apartment uninvited. He didn’t sleep with her, he dodged a bullet.
Read started a relationship with a man who had two children when she knew that she didn’t like or want children herself. The children testified that Read either screamed at them or gave them the silent treatment when she was displeased with them. She insisted that they were put in a hotel room in Atuba, alone and on the other side of the hotel. She didn’t “bring in the New Year with “Johns children,” she was blind drunk, obnoxious and embarrassing, screaming obscenities at one of Johns long-time friends little sister.
Frankly, Read is a mess. She’s getting on for 50 yrs old and can’t keep a relationship going. I’d love to hear from her ex’es.
Read is guilty. She’s an alcoholic with rage issues who hounded John because he wanted to break up with her. She felt that he didn’t support her when she was a NFI at the Alberts. No sh;t. Bunny Boiler.

His whole little map was based on where the body landed and it's orientation but he NEVER saw the body or even a picture of it!!
TP: There is no evidence he flew in the air
    AJ: EXACTLY...EXACTLY...
This guy recreated his own crash and burn.

No, he’s basing the map on what he was told by Gallagher where the body was found but Gallagher didn’t see the body himself. He was told that by an EMS or EMT that was on the team the initial team that came 6:30 in the morning they were more concerned with saving his life Than measuring the distance of where his body was lying to the road nobody took any measurements. Nobody took proper pictures.
