🔴 NOT LEGAL ADVICE
I’ve read that Alan Jackson was a fighter jet mechanic in the Air Force. He has a BS degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering. After obtaining his engineering degree, he went to Pepperdine Law School in Malibu, CA. Jackson knows more about speed, acceleration, mass, force & momentum; compared to the accident reconstruction officer. It appears the guy has forgotten all of his physics definitions & equations to determine important information. When you calculate speed, acceleration, weight or mass, force, momentum, etc; you need information from the previous math equations. If you do not know the weight, acceleration, speed, force or acceleration; you will not be able to calculate momentum.
I was shocked Baby Trooper didn't know OKs weight.
T rr
wow impressive! Jackson is the shiz
Omg that’s amazing😮!
He definitely failed today’s test ! He got a big fat F !
He sounded like he memorized a script and then had no idea what to say that he wasn't told. I don't think he reconstructed anything but a fantasy.
He had no confidence and he could not even articulate his own conclusions??
I think he just copy-pasted the report so he couldn't really repeat what it said
I did not feel sorry for this Trooper Paul guy at all! Does he not realize how serious it is to try to put a person in prison for the rest of their life! What a joke. I feel sorry for all the people in Mass if this is the quality of experts the state relies on.
This
Zero sympathy. Wonder how many other cases he’s done this on. Hopefully after today, this will be his last.
I got the feeling he’s a patsy and I wonder how much or how little power he has at the end of the day.

The most frightening thing is, if Karen Read didn't have the resources, she'd b heading to prison IMO. This is a 7 figure defense and worth every dollar. I hope she gets every dime back when she sues them.
My Opinion they tried so hard to blame Karen and messed everything up, by throwing more into this this case to prove she's guilty BUT KAREN DIDN'T KILL HIM..
Exactly!
@@debijo5288and even if she did, on accident, hit him and didn’t know it (her immediate phone call to JO tells me it wasn’t intentional if it happened at all that way), the investigators and CW have screwed this up so much that we will never know. Because whether the verdict comes back guilty or not guilty, I think we’re still going to be left scratching our heads wondering what happened.
John got up after he was hit in the arm by the SUV going 24MPH. His injuries to his arm were caused by the taillight and his fall to the asphalt. He made it to his feet, glanced at the SUV and saw Karen’s evil eyes peering over the seat. Disoriented from his alcohol consumption and the impact, he fell down again, cracking his head on the curb, asphalt, or frozen ground. He got up again, bleeding profusely and losing consciousness. He pulled his phone out of his pocket as he began staggering towards the home for help. He was valiantly trying to survive this maniacal woman as she smirked in the same manner we’ve witnessed in court. Unfortunately,
John only made it 15-20 feet before dropping his phone and falling to his final resting spot. He was alive for hours afterwards as brain swelling and hypothermia caused his agonizing, slow death. While John struggled to move, Karen anxiously sat on her couch hoping hours would pass without a cop knocking at the door. She knew if they did, she would go to prison for over a decade.
All the evidence points to this, even the location of the taillight pieces. The taillight pieces, only 2 to 3 in total initially, fell to the asphalt and were ran over multiple times by first responders and the traveling public before the snowplow came by in the late morning, pushing the snow and everything underneath it onto a wide area of the front lawn.
The prosecution made a huge mistake with their theory of the case. It was impossible to recreate this murder, yet that is exactly what they tried to do for this jury. No jury is going to buy the story the Trooper Paul was selling. I’m still holding out hope for a conviction, but after Trooper Paul, I’m a lot less confident than I was. I’m 90% sure she’ll be convicted of manslaughter and DUI causing death, at a minimum. She’ll cool her heels in prison for at least a decade before parole for the death and given the post-indictment victimization of dozens of others.
@prisonersdilemma939 Nah, that's weak af. If that diabolical, she would've headed home and cleaned her SUV. Then she would've faked a hangover, pretending to wake up late the next day. She would've subsequently played dumb, acting as if she couldn't remember what had happened. And, by then, her BAC would've registered below 0.08. The CW should've stuck with "This was a accident by a drunk woman." But second-degree murder wasn't sellable, given both her behavior and the ME's cause of death as UNDETERMINED. Veh. man. is gone too, since it was stated that the death wasn't accidental. If I'm not mistaken, the bald guy with Down's Syndrome said so.
I know that Karen thought about taking a plea for 16 months, I think only a fool wouldn’t consider it when you’re facing years of incarceration. I do find myself wondering if they upped the charge to 2nd degree intentional murder to “punish” her for taking this trial. If I were on her team, I would request no lesser includeds. No manslaughter. All or nothing. There is ZERO percent chance she is convicted of 2nd degree.
I'm guessing upped charge cause who her lawyer is and he's a cop. I also think the more they could pile in her both evidentiary as well as charging, helps to deflect any bad acts by others involved, regardless of their intentions or level of involvement. Deflection was motive. "He's a COP and she's a BITCH. THEY WERENT GETTING ALONG AND SOMEONE ELSE WANTED HER" THEY never thought about the whole situation to others view..only saw themselves and panicked cause even with a group of them they're still boxes of rocks. Sick of cops placed on pedestals.
I disagree about the Alberts texts. The “tell them the guy never came in the house” was suspicious to me
Me too, literally tells me he was in the house & they don’t want any one else to know.
I agree 100% They are SUS AF!!!
Definitely sounds like a wink wink shhhh to me as well
If he was never in the house no one would have to say “ he was never in the house” it’s like when you witness something and you want to express you won’t tell you say . “It’s like I was never here”.
Was this prior to the defense bringing up the Alberts?
Did anyone see Gordon Ramsey today? He was in a bike wreck this weekend. He lifted the left side of his shirt in a video to show his injury and the entire area was solid purple. He described it as the color of a purple potato. How does O’Keefe not have any upper body injuries remotely close to this if he was struck by a suv?
Canton is in the quantum verse, tail light pieces pop in and out of existence and people fly through the air and stuff just is like 1 + 1= fish.
But if he was beaten, why no marks on his face or body??
Not official testimony but Dr's have said he had a closed head injury which means blood pools inside the head causing black eyes & eye protrusion..
No broken nose or missing teeth or bruising on his face other than his eyes..
If he had been beaten, where are the marks?
@@anitabee57he had 2 black and very swollen eyes and a gash on his head.
@@Great_Kateplus a cut.
And scratches on his forearm and defensive bruises on his hands
I've said this almost everyday after trial- IF Karen Read did this, the CW has obliterated any chance at his family getting justice and its heartbreaking. I've always thought she was not guilty but I'm pushed further and further from the CW everyday. 😢
That is the real tragedy in this. Thank you for that important reminder. A man is dead, his children are fatherless, his parents buried their son, and they have waited so long for answers and they will walk away with none.
I just hope the feds know something and are waiting for everyone to perjure themselves and then they’ll swoop in. 🤞🤞🤞
Witnesses from Fed's were sent in at the last minute for nothing, it's problamatic for all. Doctor from California was a set up and she was poorly ready and had no notes or reports to back her testimony.
Idk to me those text messages between Karen and John sounded like the kind of fights you have at the end of a relationship. Karen didn't sound crazy jealous to me, it seemed like she wanted him to tell her he was interested in someone else or that he was done so they could just move on. If he was interested in someone else she wouldn't have to feel guilty about leaving the kids. These texts combined with the texts with Brian Higgins really don't show any motive to me. I also keep going back to the fact that she told the paramedics that they had fought the night before. If this were an act of jealousy or anger why would you volunteer that information at the crime scene? It also is super annoying to get like real, important evidence this late in the game! I don't understand why they called a thousand meaningless witnesses before bringing in these text messages.
I don't even get it, the messages are so ordinary.
@@laimanarbute4188 They really are, its so weird that people were saying they prove she killed him...
The texts between Karen Reed and John O'Keefe read as a woman trying to pin him down. She seems to be trying to get him to break up with her or prove his commitment and profess his love.
He seems like he has no plans and is just seeing how things turn out. Or he wants to break up with her, but it isn't because he needs her to help him with the kids. It's hard to tell with him.
Doesn't seem like a motive to kill him.
I agree. I think she just wanted to know if she was wasting her time with him or not. If she was so obsessed that she was gonna end him for dumping her, I don't see her being so flirty with Higgins and risking their relationship.
That’s interesting I see Karen in a very different light. It looks like she was hurt and trying to engage with John and looking for him to show some amount of care and concern for her, and then he is avoidant, evasive and cold in his replies. Doesn’t want to fight but is the one who is starting arguments and is just unhappy about held accountable. Over the course of the trial he looks more and more like an awful boyfriend.
None of this looks like a motive for her to kill him though, I agree with you there.
I think he was using her a bit with the kids wanted his cake and eating it too, also a bit of a player, no woman wants that!
Well she came off as completely unhinged and extremely clingy so the fact John essentially told her to back off and give him some space which she clearly didn't respect and didn't give says she was toxic and too immature for a relationship to me
John didn't seem like he was mature enough either so just a very unhealthy and toxic relationship.
Personally I think Karen is innocent of kil1ing him but she has some serious mental issues and personality issues.
I don’t see motive, I feel like these texts show KR’s deep insecurities. She seemed to need more from JO than he could at this time. Definitely NOT motive. It’s all just so tragic 😢
I’m not sure how you aren’t convinced by the key cycle argument or why you think it was her who sped backwards. It’s just a record of the car being turned on, and the car was demonstrably turned on and off multiple times after it was confiscated. So if the state is right that it happened on cycle 1162, it couldn’t possibly be i
her driving in reverse at that speed.
Unless the car’s data is completely unreliable, but if that’s the case there’s no reason to believe she drove backwards at a high rate of speed.
As far as I could work out, she was at Fairview at key cycle 1158
It's absolutely horrifying that the state of Massachusetts would employ such an unqualified person as an expert in a murder case.
Omg yes it so bad it's horrible. That guy needs more schooling.
You should see the “Experts “ at the SEC when my husband went to work there after 35+ years in Fixed Income and running trading and sales depts at Schwab and Vanguard and other depts they had one expert in Fixed income who knew nothing and they have a “rule “ they can only have one expert per type of security….its a joke
Especially knowing Jackson would tear him apart on cross!
Because a true expert wouldn’t have been able to come to the conclusion that supported their theory, and I think they know that. But defense team didn’t object to CW using as expert, because it only helps them.
Hits even worse after today's voir dire tbh 🫤 Trooper Paul is an "expert" with 120 hours of class and his conclusion, including that the evidence "just ended up where it did" is enough to charge murder; but a biomechanical engineer can't testify about his opinion on the possible origins of JO's wounds? When Mr. Lally questioned the first witness' credentials when she apparently has barbie's resume I had to turn off the stream for a few minutes to calm down.
Every time the prosecutor puts another witness on the stand, I just get more confused! 🤔 it makes less sense every single day!
I started watching day 19. I'm lost.🤷♀️Justice for Officer John O'Keefe, RIP.🙏🏽👮🏻♂️⚖️

Karen Choose her lawyers Well ♥️🍀✅
Joe Paul must have had no idea that prior to being a Lawyer, Alan Jackson was a trained jet engine engineer with the US Air Force and holds dozens of certificates in jet propulsion.... aka more of an expert in physics than he is.
Really?
Edited to add: damn! I just looked into this and you are absolutely correct 🤣 I would have been just as nervous as the trooper "expert" during cross. 😱
@@VictoriaLeigh313 yeah he is kind of a badass
this makes the cross so much funnier. There's no way Lally knew that either imo
@amandamacabre I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't done on purpose. This guy was so incompetant Lally gotta know that.
@@Songbirdstress I saw a comment suggesting he's trying to get all this out for the Feds' investigation but I feel like that's giving this whole thing too much credit 😂
The big issues w this case is that his injuries DO NOT match being hit by a 7,00O pound car. He had NO bruising, NO broken bones, NO injuries below the neck. He had two black eyes, blunt force trauma to the BACK of the head and no blood found on any curb showing that he hit his head. He had lacerations to his face and PUNCTURE wounds to the arm and yet NOTHING was on the SUV, no DNA, NO SKIN, NO BLOOD. I believe the information the informant brought forward and it matches their behavior almost identical. He was beaten up by Colin who had swollen knuckles, by Brian Albert who didn’t show his face after he was found, he threw up and convulsed on the basement floor…basement floor was ripped up. Etc etc etc etc…..I can go on and on but there is more suspicious activity showing they did this than Karen. Oh and let’s not forget the two unknown DNA profiles found in the blood ON HIS PANTS that was never tested against Colin or Brian. John didn’t bleed out 3 different profiles 😮💨
These prosecutors and this case has really made me lose faith in our justice system. It’s so scary to see play out.
If this was my son’s investigation & trial & experts, I’d be furious.
If I was Karen Read/Defendant, I’d be furious as I fought for my freedom.
Who wins here.
This one and every one coming out of Fulton county lately.
I do think she did actually hit him... Sideswiped like this guy thinks. That's more likely than this elaborate cover up where they left him on their own lawn ( but that is a good defense to try). She was probably drunk ( that's why she went to the waterfall and didn't remember going to the Albert's, bc if she did remember dropping him there than they should have been one of if not the first place to go out the first people to reach out to) and she had no idea she side swiped him at all.... That's probably less likely to notice than hitting someone dead on... Especially when backing up I would think that's easier to not notice. In the end I believe it was an accident, if anything at all it should have been charged just as that.... Even though they lost trust with the investigation they still have to try to get some justice for John's family... Definitely shouldn't have uped the charges like that though.
Jackson missed his own question, acceleration is the rate of CHANGE of velocity, not the Rate of velocity
Where is the Medical Examiner? The jury/we are supposed to take all this evidence and guess how it may or may not apply depending on what injuries/damage were actually found in the autopsy?
@@bellab9286idk personally. You’re right, it’s more plausible. But I find it very hard to believe that no one saw him coming out of the home that night, no one saw an over 6 ft man laying in the snow? The snowplow driver didn’t see him either…. Then their messages about how long to die in cold? That’s really weird (& time stamps work for every trial in history except this one) by bringing in that witness for 1 case, the commonwealth gives reasonable doubt to every future case, this is a weird testimony. Then you have them saying that they didn’t see him in the home, rehoming the dog that they had for years, getting rid of the carpet in the basement, etc. but on the other hand, it’s very hard to believe so many ppl would part of a cover up!
Truthfully I’m starting to believe that him and his wife did see him in the home and something happened and they tried to blame it on Karen. Not everyone has to be involved…. Just those 2. He could have not been seen in the snow bc he wasn’t there to see until they put him there. & no one else knew anything about it at all… they only know that he was dead the next morning and then someone plants that it was Karen.
I would not put it past a cop at all to put someone they harmed outside and blame it on a drunk person, especially if no one else saw anything. Bc no one say anything…. So I don’t think it’s this elaborate cover up, bc it’s not elaborate; there’s lots of holes, possible evidence, etc. but if the cop harmed him and no one seen it he could easily put him in the snow and say he believed it was Karen, and then he personally charged Karen. It would be that simple, since no one seen anything. It’s just a lot of crazy incidences happening with them that align with the defense too. Gosh it’s like insane.
Regardless, idk how anyone could convict bc there’s enough reasonable doubt to sink a continent. 🤷♀️
speedometer is generally determined by a sensor in your transmission Tire slippage (Snow or Ice) can indicate a higher speed than the actual speed and distance traveled.
Good point !
During Tpr Paul's testimony John O'Keefes brother looked broken. I think it's starting to dawn on him Karen didn't hurt John. All the rage n anger is going to be directed somewhere else and that realization is sickening. It's at the same ppl who showed up at his parents home, told them to send the niece to Canton high over the private school John was so proud of, same ppl that helped the MST "solve" the case, and interjected themselves into his families lives. That is depraved and disturbing.
Complete betrayal.
Side issue, but I can't believe he was allowed to sit so near KR,
The OKeefe family are idiots. How this wasn’t obvious to them from the very beginning is mind blowing.

Thanks Peter you are the best. It has been a privilege watching you grow. This trial has been so fired up. I am happy you are there to explain all of it to us. Love ❤️ and hugs 🫂
Why does everyone refer to John O'Keefe as "Mr" instead of "Officer"? You would think other cops would go out of their way to call him "officer" unless they are trying to distance themselves. It really is odd to me
Did they say John's arm wounds are due to road rash? Did they test the wounds for particles? I was ejected from a vehicle in '19 & had debris in my burns. I flew like 30 ft, I didn't have scratches like John. We've all fell & skinned our knees, that's what road rash is like. Idk, maybe they're saying the scratches & puncture wounds are from the glass or broken taillight? This case can be confusing
Yet no bloody broken shards of tail lights. 😂

While watching trials, I never understood where the line is for reasonable doubt until this case.

You do incredible commentary and breakdowns. I am shocked a giant network like Fox, CNN, CBS, etc hasn’t scooped you up as a commentator or cohost in law/ trials coverage for their network. And it sounds like you could also be a great addition to any sports analysis segments.
Peter saying “buuuttttt” after the you didn’t put the evidence there, needs to be a meme asap. I watched it no less than 10x.

I just wonder if expert 1 actually wrote his report or was he a sacrificial lamb. It's like when teachers knew that one of the members of a team did nothing and then forces that teammate to answer all the questions.
EDB was interested in what you would say with this witness
As long as Mr. jackson can get the jurors to hear what he wants to say, it doesn't matter 1 bit if the corrupt judge says IGNORE that comment 😅 they've heard it 😊
Cellebrite guy is ignoring the WAL file; this is a file in SQLite that records changes that will be later committed (written to the database.) The other expert said the commits only happen when there is a tab state change. I'm skeptical since it could result in serious lag.
Tbh, right-brained here and having tough time understanding different call log testimony - especially after reading comments about how they could be incorrect. (Theories the jury won't hear, tho.)
In that vein, wonder if that'll matter during deliberation, since there's so much reasonable doubt in other areas - particularly with today's accident reconstructionist.
(Wow - just hit me that there could be a juror who would hold out for guilty creating a mistral vs acquittal.)
I can't even back up 10' @ 5mph without swerving. But a drunk person supposably backs up 30' at 25mph and is able to aim straight at him? Also, He says he was hit on his RIGHT arm but was rotated COUNTER CLOCKWISE How can that happen?
Did you see how he went in and changed the time zone to get the correct time that is exactly what the defense was questioning one of the witnesses early on in trial I hope the jury caught
Can anyone guess what degrees the defense reconstruction experts are going to have? PHDs perhaps? LOL
This entire Witnesses testimony is just painful😢
I haven't seen anything about how when the road was plowed it might have moved the snow and the pieces of tailight and glass from their original spots.

John O'keefe gets hit full force by a car and doesn't brake any bones. A (flimsy ikea) dining room chair landed on my toe Friday and broke it. It's doubled in size and turned black. 🤔
I’ve also been thinking a lot…
If I’m going to look at things through the “coverup” lens, I don’t actually think it matters much to me _when_ JM googled her ‘hos long’ query. I don’t.
Because if we’re going with the theory for a minute that the McAlbert clan are the ones who took OJO’s life, I don’t have any reason to believe JM had any hands on culpability in his actual passing. I would assume she puppeteered the aftermath, however, and googling any question of any potential ‘reason’ for OJO to have passed in order to ‘cover up’ what actually happened wouldn’t be out of the question in my mind.
Like… she could have spent the entire morning deciding on a narrative to sort of push with law enforcement as well as KR, to take any potential future heat off her, her family, and her friends.
So let’s say something happened between OJO and some of the guys that night, hypothetically, it wouldn’t surprise me if JM was googling well into the morning _after_ OJO was found to try to maybe get some sort of idea of potential ways he _could have_ passed that didn’t involve her loved ones taking his life.
You know, like, stay silent until he’s found, so none of us look like we were involved…
And then let’s say she did Google ‘hos long’ at the scene with Karen. In theory, that could have been her shining moment, like, “Aha! Yes Karen, you’re right, he may have died of hypothermia…
Goooooood call…. Let’s dig into that shall we?” While wiping sweat off her brow. And then it actually wouldn’t be that suspicious of her to be googling those queries at that time because she would just be ‘helping Karen.’
My point is that if we take the coverup theory and say the McAlbert clan took OJO’s life, I really don’t put much stock into when JM made these Google searches, because her making them after finding John don’t necessarily tell me she wasn’t involved in some way.
I *really* try to look at everything in life objectively and fairly, and I make sure to go into every trial I watch as unbiased as I can be, starting at zero: innocent thus far.
I still can’t say confidently KR wasn’t involved, and I still can’t say confidently the Alberts and McCabes weren’t involved. So I’m not saying I think one way or the other.
But I can say that I wouldn’t be able to vote for a guilty verdict for KR at this point, this trial has been a circus, LE truly dropped the ball here, and it just gives me no confidence in knowing that police officers and investigators of all kinds actually have integrity on a whole.
This just goes to show, this stuff happens more than we realize.
As much as Lally’s ridiculous questions and ‘what, if anys’ bother me to no end, his ‘sort ofs’ get me even more heated.
I swear if I never hear Adam Lally say ‘sort of’ again, it’ll be too soon 😒
And honestly, the CW trying to get ahead of and defend the defense’s theories instead of just trying the case… just isn’t helping a thing. It makes them look shaky, tbh.

I also feel bad for Trooper Paul. But as you said “don’t testify to this stuff if you don’t know” or something to that effect. Good point
“The calculations are out there” - Trooper Paul
Everyone - “where?”
Also, as a southern woman
Lord have mercy on my soul when I hear this testimony from Trooper Paul
Just like "the truth is out there"
The reason is slowed down by a half a mile an hour with foot on accelerator is TRACTION CONTROL. It's on by default in all vehicles. You have to turn it off manually!
You know the gps Mapquest isn’t always correct. Sunday my Mapquest was trying so hard to correct my route as it had me a hundred yards east of where my car actually was for ten miles. I had to exit my route and reload to correct it.
Based on his testimony, I don't think the accident reconstruction expert even knows what linear means. Which is quite sad. It doesn't help that he (as admitted on the stand) doesn't even know what acceleration means. How did he manage to get this job being so unqualified?
With the objections, why doesn't the lawyer objecting have to say why?
The judge banned speaking objections.
Let me get this right. This Trooper who does reconstructions never even visited THE SCENE???
And the Trooper who told him where OJO was laying also never saw that either
I can’t really hear what Jackson is saying because the video is sped up so fast
I once saw a cop scream over and over "back up, back up". The cop was about 8 feet behind the car, and eventually the car rolled over the cop. He was'nt badly hurt, got up and screamed at the guy for backing over him, and was about to arrest the driver when I stepped in and said I saw and heard everything. The cop looked super embarrassed as he let the driver drive away
This trooper is a solid witness for a lazy government. As long as the defense lawyer takes a plea deal, his 'facts' are damning. The moment they go to trial, however....
Sorry that I have to put it so bluntly, but as a physicist, I was appalled that this trooper devoid of sufficient physics or mathematics knowledge to even understand the basic laws of kinematics and dynamics can appear in court as an expert witness objectivity trying to convict the defendant. The frightening thing is that he has appeared in other cases masquerading as an expert in road accident reconstruction, and by inference kinematics and dynamics.
The supreme irony in this case is that one of the world’s leading institutions in the discipline of physics and mathematics, replete with ACTUAL physicists is in just TWO MILES from downtown Boston, namely the Massachusetts Institute of Technology .
WHY did they not organise an actual expert from this prestigious university? Could it be that the prosecution did NOT want a real expert on the stand.
Or they couldn't find one that would testify the way they needed them to
Bingo! I suspect that’s exactly why- they don’t want a real expert but rather someone they know if they wave enough dollars in his face, he’ll make the reconstruction FIT their narrative vs reconstructing and then providing the common wealth with solid evidence based on data and science! This guy is a joke!
They couldn’t find an expepert without integrity.
The FBI empaneled a grand jury to investigate something regarding this case. We are not exactly sure what all they are investigating yet. As part of this investigation, 3 accident reconstruction experts were used. They determined John's injuries were not caused by Karen's SUV. 2 of those experts will be testifying for the defense.
Thank you prof Phil bell...for pointing out deficiency of Trooper.
99% of the Prosecutions “experts” have all been State Troopers. That’s wild to me. Those texts were supposed to make Karen look bad… but,to me at least, I ended up empathizing w/ her, & it was John who came out looking bad.
Totally agree.
Agree ! I thought it actually made it make sense why she started messaging Higgins with the way her relationship was going aswell and getting no where trying to sort things out. And definitely made u sympathise with her more than anything. Also the texts at the end went in her favour as why would she still be arguing with him/ baiting him if she had knowingly killed him. That whole text messaging section went in the defences favour
Agreed!
All the state troopers are actually the same person.
@@zang9147 😂
Karen blowing up his phone, as they claim was her usual pattern, after he was dead proves to me that she did not kill him
They seem to know nothing about women. I had an ex like O'Keefe and when he ghosted me , the texts were way fruitier than that. Also the pop glasses counted as alcohol....
Intentionally you mean, she very possibly just didn't realize she smoked him and drove off
I've felt this all along too. Along with how hysterical she was when she discovered him. She was the only one showing any emotion. Enough so they took her to the hospital too. Would love to hear witnesses from the hospital that day of her emotional state and statements she made.
@NEprimo except the prosecution is claiming she was going 24 mph in reverse to intentionally hit him. Why would she be going 24mph in reverse, not on accident. I don't buy this theory anyway. It was a snow storm. The roads were slick and if she dropped him off why wouldn't he immediately walk up to the house and just stand there in the road and not jump out of the way if she was coming in reverse at him.
relationally speaking - I agree!
Think about if Karen didnt have the $$$ for her phenomenal representation!?! She would be done for!!!
for a fact.
Exactly. It's scary to think about.
I don’t think they were thinking ahead during the coverup that someone might try and disprove all of this “stuff”
And if they didn’t have the Federal investigation info.
The state's case is so weak any defense attorney with experience in murder cases could beat this
They keep using the term "expert" so loosely in this trial.
It would be laughable if a man didn't lose his life and another persons life is on the line.
100%!!! My favorite part is when Trooper Paul says, "I'm trying to keep it straight," while holding the laser pointer. I literally cackled at this comment. He is so visibly nervous, and then I remembered, there's actually nothing funny about the fact that this man is claiming to be an expert and is willing to testify to subject matter he has very much a novice in!
@@christinameeker7377Exactly. It is definitely not laughable that this man is not REcreating anything. He's CREATING something that fits someone else's narrative, and he's perfectly willing to sit there and say these things knowing full well someone may go to prison for life as a result of what he's saying. Not laughable. More like preposterous.
Reconstructionists are supposed to be science nerds; this guy is no nerd & he used no science.
His testimony was, "I'm an expert, trust me, bro."

How was this case even brought to trial? It's terrifying.
And why wouldn’t Bev agree to a continuance when both parties asked for it whilst the FBI was investigating?? Wouldn’t that save the commonwealth $$$… bc in the end, there is not enough evidence to support, and prove that she hit him with her car

We need to ask ourselves why. Lally isn’t Jen McCabe’s attorney but he is acting like it.
They are trying to discredit cell phone data to do it.
I can’t WAIT for the defense’s case. Expecting them to bury the CW case. This has been a circus. Surely the jury must see it.
I think it's basically expert witnesses and Lucky the plough driver. Hopefully the CW rests Thurday I'm getting sick of Lallygagging wasting time.

I think they do. I’ve been watching Yanetti and Karen’s eyes and body language towards the jury at every chance I get during this trial. They have at least one juror in their back pocket at this point. They would not be staring at jurors so often unless it was apparent by their reactions what their impression of the evidence was. Yanetti has positioned his body directly towards the jury at times. He is just too comfortable with the jury if he didn’t know or see something from a juror or jurors. It was readily apparent during this Trooper’s testimony today,
Judge trying to not let in crucial defense witnesses. So much for justice
At this point I feel like the prosecution isn’t actually trying to prove their own case but trying to disprove the defense case. Its mind blowing
My thoughts exactly! Stop wasting time on Jenn McCabe's cellabrite search
1000% you can feel the defeat in Lally, this is such a shit show, crazy.
@@lollnr3447 the amount of time they spend on it makes me think it probably WAS actually done at 2:27 and they know their case falls apart if the defence proves it. I liked their experts that debunked it well enough, but I think the defence expert is going to come in HOT.
Right! Multiple witnesses to dissect Jen McCabe’s Google searches but we still have no idea how the victim died. Like WHERE IS THE ME?
They have more witnesses for damage control than to accuse Karen
Am I the only one who thinks that if John was hit by a car he would have yelled out and screamed for help?
Exactly!! He definitely would not have died on contact!!
He probably would have dodged it, then screamed.
Or used his phone.
interesting since he apparently didn't fall down right there and die on the spot. Didn't they say he was several yards away. I missed that part. but after being struck he should have been able to yell out.
Why would you think you’re the only one? Peter plays naive because it’s risky for law professionals to admit cops can be corrupt but everyone knows .. none of this adds up.
This accident recreationist "expert" was a literal car crash, pedestrian and all.
But can you calculate the momentum of the crash? Oh wait, you can't because he doesn't weigh as much as a car 🙄
As someone pointed out Jackson's cross was an accident reconstruction...
He wasn't an expert tho, he was a trooper. He wasn't independent to the investigation so he wasn't an expert witness but basically another law enforcement officer with very limited to the field he testified to. I wonder if actual experts wouldn't touch this and that's why they ended up with this car wreck.
@@marcopalazzo9349especially given the federal investigation, I think you are onto something with the real experts not touching the prosecutions case. or their opinions were too mixed so they went with this poor idiot LEO.

THIS is exactly why the Innocence Project exists.
Lally could show me a video of Karen Read committing the crime and at this point I would STILL vote not guilty. The whole prosecution case has been a cluster f**k and that’s putting it politely.
OMG that's the funniest thing I've read today. had to pick myself up from the floor to personally thank you. bless humor

I feel like everyone gives John O'Keefe credit (as they should) for adopting his niece & nephew. But Karen's contribution is totally glossed over. She was a second parent to those kids, and I don't hear her getting any credit for it. They are no relation to her, and she wasn't married into the family, yet she seems to have spent at least as much time with the children as he did. If I were raising a man's children, and he criticized my methods, my texts would be much more reactive than hers. I would feel that if he wants to control what's going on with the kids when he isn't there, he can hire a damn babysitter.
This was a relationship that worked well during covid and I think she was questioning whether this family relationship was for her long term. Doesn't mean she would kill him. she could leave any time on her own terms. She has her own home, career, etc. i dont get murder from her at all.
John was not the “good guy” everyone thinks he was. Life hack - when you’re a full time single dad going out getting blasted at a friend’s house isn’t an option for you. This is why I won’t date a guy with kids. Karen is single and maintained a upper middle class lifestyle. She took care of those kids like they were hers. All she wanted in return was an honest assessment of the relationship in return. Instead she was gaslit. She had every reason to act the way she did. John couldn’t be honest and cut her loose because he didn’t want to lose his Nanny maid ATM girlfriend. And now I found out Karen paid all the fines for John’s brother after his DUI. Karen was being used by this entire family. She didn’t deserve this.
@@karinaz8756 Agree. Also I am curious why she called John a pervert on the voicemail. I feel like there must have been something behind that. Was he trying to pressure her into something sexually? Or did she feel that he was flirting with a minor? There's so much in this case.
I thought the key cycle cross was huge. 24 mph in reverse is very fast. Proving that key cycle 01162 did not occur at 34 Fairview is important.
Driving 24 mph in reverse at night in the snow after 7 drinks . Didn’t happen.

The more I listen to this trial the more I believe Karen is innocent
And the more I believe the entirety of the LEOs involved need to be investigated and brought to trial for all of this, O'Keefe's death (or at least the cover-up) included. This is the exact kind of case that makes me go "See, THIS is why everyone hates cops and why there aren't songs called 'F**k the Fire Department".
The key cycles was the most important part of the testimony. It proves that the car had been seized when those trigger events occurred. You should rewatch to catch the magnitude of that testimony. It shows Karen wasn’t in possession of the car at the time the key cycles allegedly coinciding with her hitting O’Keefe occurred.
I think so, too. Everything about the car's behavior, speed, accelerator pedal pressure, steering wheel turning, distance, all tied to that particular trigger event. They determined that by counting back through the key cycles. If they got the incorrect trigger key cycle, ALL associated data has nothing to do with events of 1/29.
Unless I am failing to understand the info presented.
I agree, and more importantly it makes more sense that the key cycle that went in reverse and did a "3 point turn" would be when the Lexus was being taken from the driveway and onto the tow truck.
I don't think Peter got this point. that is exactly what happened. Those events of driving backwards at 24 mph occurred 2 key cycles before he tested the car. which meant it was already in custody. This shows how devious the CW is. To frame somebody. I hope people really understand this point - because it kills the CW case altogether. trigger event did not happen when Karen had the car.
I was thinking the same but why did Jackson keep framing it as a "hypothetical"?
Exactly triggers were car being driven on and off tow truck, sent off warnings in computer about crazy angles and poss abrupt suspension bounces
This was brutal to watch. I don’t like seeing people being embarrassed, even when they are bringing it on themselves. This man should never have been in that position. This is not how we reach justice. The entire investigation was a complete debacle and the prosecution is following suit
Shame on the prosecution!! This poor guy didn’t have a chance!!
It's brutal to send someone to life in prison for a murder they didn't commit... I have no sympathy for him
I was embarrassed for the poor man
I'm glad this embarrassment is on display for the whole country to see. POC have been saying for decades that the punishment model of justice is messed up and cops unfairly target & send people to prison on bogus charges ALL THE TIME. If this is what's happening to a wealthy white woman just for "having no ass," imagine what happens to poor people whose trials aren't televised and who can't afford an Alan Jackson?? I really hope people start to rethink the idea that it's okay for us to just be throwing everyone in jail all willynilly on the word of one or two cops 😕🙏🏽

The fights seem like normal relationship issues to me. I used to be so worried my husband would leave me. He would say things that he knew would cause me to be insecure, then everything would be okay. We r now in our late 60’s, things just got better about 10 years ago. Insecurity can mess with things. Doesn’t make one of them toxic, and the other one “good”.
I agree. To me these messages make JO sound like he’s using KR and playing on her insecurities. He doesn’t sound like the prince they’re making him out to be.
@@techninja4136 👍🏻Agree.
The texts showed that Karen Read is a classic Bunny Boiler. JOK had, according to his children, told her repeatedly to leave his home because the relationship had “run its course” and was “toxic.” Children said that she refused to leave and would chase after JOK, screaming at him. She wasn’t invited to the night out, his friends can’t stand to be around her, so she lied, saying she was going out drinking when she appeared at the bar in Canton. She didn’t want JOK to go to the Alberts because she didn’t feel welcome, but he went anyway. She flew into a rage and backed her car into him, leaving him to die in the cold.
She was with him when he died after lying, saying that she left him in the Waterfall Bar. She only admitted to having brought him to the Alberts after she knew she had been seen. Read claimed that she hit him to numerous people, even saying to her own father that she definitely “struck something.”
Read only invented the conspiracy story after she bought Alan Jackson for $1,000,000.
Read is a liar. She lied about the state of her relationship with John, she lied about events in Aruba, she lied about having driven him to the Alberts, she lied about how many drinks she had drank and she lied about going home to Mansfield.
Read was a cheat. She tried to start something with her bf colleague, even turning up at his apartment uninvited. He didn’t sleep with her, he dodged a bullet.
Read started a relationship with a man who had two children when she knew that she didn’t like or want children herself. The children testified that Read either screamed at them or gave them the silent treatment when she was displeased with them. She insisted that they were put in a hotel room in Atuba, alone and on the other side of the hotel. She didn’t “bring in the New Year with “Johns children,” she was blind drunk, obnoxious and embarrassing, screaming obscenities at one of Johns long-time friends little sister.
Frankly, Read is a mess. She’s getting on for 50 yrs old and can’t keep a relationship going. I’d love to hear from her ex’es.
Read is guilty. She’s an alcoholic with rage issues who hounded John because he wanted to break up with her. She felt that he didn’t support her when she was a NFI at the Alberts. No sh;t. Bunny Boiler.
