As far as lyrics go, this song seems relatively simple (but is not). I would treat this more as a prequel song to their upcoming album release next month. There are other songs that they have done that are more story telling, such has Stay or You Never Know. They do have a lot of dance popish songs like this one which is very popular. There more popular songs are: "Ddu-du Ddu-du" "Kill This Love" "Boombayah" "Don't Know What to Do" "As If It's Your Last" "Whistle" "Playing With Fire" "Stay" "Forever Young" "How You Like That" -edited with change to "simple" statement.

What I can get from the explanation and referring to the whole MV too, in this comeback Blackpink try to answer all the comments/complain toward to them. Like they handle it with savage way.

Boombayah is about love w/o regrets and lives freely.
Ddu4 is about fake people in their lives (theory 1 in jisoo scene: people will be by your side only when you are known but it won’t take them a second to change their side if you make even a single mistake.) Theory 2- in the first scene the fake social media jisoo gets all the attention and everyone think that she is like that even in reality what they fail to understand is that she is also a human from inside just like them and when the normal/real jisoo makes a little mistake……..the same device which was first used to praise her is now used as gun(symbolizing trolls and roasting)…..the whole scene says how toxic can social media be….. Amd there's another scene too but I'm too lazy to explain them.
Hylt is more like a revenge song so I think they start to shift the concept on more story telling about their ups and downs. People kept saying they are overrated but talentless but they keep on moving forward. But at some point, they kinda bit overrated considered the amount of music they were released but things we don't know is that, they never bragging about it nor asking fans anything. They just ask people to love them and support and it's up to people to decide.

But pink venom is more like telling about blackpink. They might seems tough, arrogant(venom) when performing all that songs but they actually can be sweet, lovely (pink) . I think u can just switch the part😂. Well that's my opinions tho. I've watch this one priest (youtuber) who make a whole analysis about bp hylt. Maybe u can check them out? Bp's songs mostly using metaphor (from lyrics to music video). It might sounds like a random thing but it jas deep meaning. Rosé is from New Zealand, but grew up in Australia (Korean decent)
Jennie is from Korea, but grew up in New Zealand
Jisoo is the only member borne and raised in Korea.

their concept since debut has been their duality, they're black (fierce, strong, independent) and pink (cute, feminine, sweet), this song is like a prequel for their full album that will come out next month, so the song is more about reminding everyone of who they are. of course the chorus could be interpreted in a more sexual way, and i'm sure it's on purpose, but if you take it into context of the rest of the song, the main meaning is that they're like a flower with venom, they're beautiful and delicate but if you provoke them their 'pink venom' will go straight to your head. by the way love your energy, looking forward to more reactions from you

The song is actually about dissing their rival/opponent. As they are currently the biggest girl group in the world called by many media, their success could make many rival jealous.
Some of other labels in K-pop tried to copy their way by producing similar girl group, did media play, but still, they had no chance to compete with Blackpink. Like it was said in the song that "styling on them, there is still no chance"
In their other songs, Pretty savage, they said "If you mad, stay mad we're not alike" This song also, in the hook, "taste that pink venom, strait to your dome like" mean to let them feel more and more jealous and toxic of jealousy will take control of their brain and we still dont bothered.
The song is about CONFIDENT, like,
"Want to compete with me? you will achieve nothing but venom, I will bring the pain to you."
It's not meant to be sexual entirely though nowadays visuals are needed to engage people & that's not a bad thing I guess still much classy than most of the American music videos (no shade just saying). "Pink Venom" is the group's concept as represented by their name. Pink referring to their feminine side & Venom for confident & daring side. Thus saying women are not just soft or feminine they're strong, capable & self confident. Don't take them weak just because they look, soft cute or sweet. This song may look it has not much lyricism cause of how modernised & visually appealing it is. But most of their songs are for women empowerment as well as for entertainment if you get to know them well. Also their beats are so unique & versatile they are open to all kinds of sounds in the world especially traditional instruments & that's what music is about. They make their own sound & style. You can dive more into their music & probably like atleast one song for sure cause they have great music. Lots of love ❤️

I loved EVERYTHING (Jenlisa's rap, the vocal line, the lyrics, the beat...) except the ending. Seriously, what's with the ratatata's....Thank god this isn't the main song for their album.
Omg same here! Since the first heard I LOVED everything but when that final part came I was like "hmmm, not my cup of tea". I understand they needed to add another iconic catchy line as hook but it's so weird and useless/powerful at the same time.
have you considered that it might be because it's a dance break, and simple lyrics are easier to remember when you're dancing your ass off than complicated ones? You can dislike it if you like, idc. But this might be why.

Pink Venom was awful. Huge favoritism towards Lisa and it was undeserved. The main vocal was treated very badly. What I saw was far from Blackpink

The lyrics are basically about their power over their (even reluctant) listeners/fans. They are the beautiful flower on display (walking the catwalk, dripping in designer names), but they're not just pretty. They're a poisonous flower whose pink venom goes straight to your head, making your eyes sparkle (pop pop) and dizzying you (chorus' "whoa, whoa, whoa" & "ah, ah, ah"). They rack up the body count and create a glimmering pink ocean-at concerts, fans hold up pink light sticks.. imagine 40k pink lights in an otherwise dark stadium. Must be an amazing view!

The BP formula. Apparently It works very well. Hello Mr. Jones. Have you heard Dreamcatcher, "The Dark Angels of K-pop"? If not, basically it's K-pop with rock/metal influences. If you're curious check out 'GOOD NIGHT' or 'What' for their rock type stuff. 'Endless Night' or 'No More' for their metal stuff. 'No More' being their heaviest song. For something more K-pop but still has that hard rock/metal sound in it: 'BOCA', or maybe their epic/ballad 'Deja Vu' should do.
While I'm here, I'm curious if you've heard of Dimash? If you haven't he's definitely one to check out if you appreciate almost inhuman vocal acrobatics that still maintains a soul. I think he may have raised the bar for vocals, but I can't be sure.
