1:08 I believe was the final nail in the coffin for Catnap, he couldn’t accept Dogday turning on him and then turning the other Critters against him. When he started working for the Prototype he captured Dogday first then tortured him removing his legs. Angry that while he could break Dogday physically but not mentally he goes after the other Critters recording him killing them to try and break Dogday. When this doesn’t work at 1:23 Catnap can’t make himself kill Dogday maybe it’s memories of old times or guilt but something stops him from killing Dogday and just leaves him to die naturally or to be eaten by the Critter plushies.
I bet even after all that Catnap did, Dogday still hoped that one day Catnap would leave the prototype and come back to him. Probably the only thing that made Dogday cry was losing Catnap to evil

One day, Catnap's human form and prototype almost managed to escaped, but huggy wuggy attacked Catnap, prototype and catnap managed to run away but catnap was badly injured. Then, instead of just running away and letting catnap behind, prototype called the staff, that managed to turn him into the Catnap we know today. So the Prototype was not Catnap's only friend, but also his savior, so that's why Catnap treat him like a God.

The real villain is the protagonist. There's that one part where's the radio says "You come here and you pillage and you murder" and he/she does indeed brutally murder Huggy, Mommy, Miss Delight, and almost Catnap.
I do think Dogday got himself into this cause he mad catnap angry and hoppy should be able to make her own choices but Dogday did not let her so Dogday maybe got himself into this and this would probably never happened if it wasn’t for Dogday blocking hoppys hand.
NGL this actually made me cry the first time I played it, because it's kinda heartbreaking that catnap was forced to do this do dogday when he never wanted to actually hurt him, and dogday was tryna save him from the prototype, it's also more heartbreaking that they were best friends and that dogday said that they were best friends forever and then left catnap because he went to the prototypes side, and so catnap did this to dogday when he didn't want to, he was really tryna look out for dogday, but dogday was tryna tell him that the prototype will betray catnap, so that's why I actually cried when I first heard this.

The ending with Ms.Delight was pretty funny. I do wish she’d take on more of a motherly role to the critters in fan animations since she is the closest thing the critters have to a mom. She’d then have him write on the chalkboard 1000 times “I will not kill my friends”. She still needs a full class to teach Catnap.

Ok so, in "Smile Every Day", in the last lines of the song, Bobby says how she didn't got to hug Catnap because he didn't appear, or perhaps, wasn't invited. It then it follows to Dogday wondering where he is, to wich Bobby replies "Oh well, maybe next song..." and here it is fellas. AND ALSO it picks on where the last song left, with Catnap standing in front of Dogday's door. Really cool detail!
