I'm online schooled because of bullying,social anxiety interferes with attendance, mental health makes my grades go lower. So kinda why I like online school better honestly.

I do online school and my social life is better than it was when I was at school. I don't have to deal with bullies or mean girls. My friend group is of all ages now and I can learn from older and younger people. If you think about it, at school, we can't learn from others because everyone is the same age - we're all kids who have no idea on how to live life, everyone's discovering life at the same time. There's no one to help us or give us advice because no-one has experience. That's different with homeschooling and that's why most homeschoolers are more mature. Also homeschoolers do not spend all day in bed. I study in the lounge with my sister and we go out for walks, cycles, youth groups, sport practise. My mum helps us make crafts etc. In my opinion there are no cons to homeschooling at all. It's made me the happiest I've ever been.

Same homeschooling is the best thing I've ever done, I've been homeschooled for 90% of my school life (my mum homeschooled 4 kids!) and I just started up doing online school and I love it! I have don't have heaps of friends but the ones I do have have close

When you homeschool usually your co-op will plan dances and graduation. Homeschool is not that lonely. Also I am friends with my homeschool peers. We will go out to lunch and stuff together all the time.

Pros of public school: socializing and experience.
Pros of online school: waking up later, eating whatever and whenever, more job hours, work whenever and wherever, etc.
Homeschool is sooooo so so better than public school. I took highschool freshman year and few months sophomore, now I’m homeschooled and it’s so easy.

I understand what people say about liking public school better because you have more of a social life there, but I personally think that online school has helped me really focus on my academics, not have to worry or stress about drama everyday, and fully understand everything I'm learning. At public school I was bullied, but when I switched to online school, I was able to completely push all of those people out of my life because I would never have to see them again. I feel like it's different for anyone who has experienced it, but I think online school has some great pros that a lot of people should consider!!

I’ve been doing online school for the past 3 years of high school, and honestly I have way better memories than I would’ve had in Public school! I do Minnesota Connections Academy but there’s one for every state.

For the whole " questions" thing...
you typically have a home room teacher that you can contact or you can contact you regular teach during office hours. Then you also have a learning coach which is your parent/guardian.
Well what if my parents are not smart enough for being my learning couch?
Teachers also have office hours and you can ask questions to them :) and the main thing for learning coaches is to be there for the student(s) to help guide you and encourage you to do your work. They also have to have some student involvement especially with elementary school.
Honestly online school and public school are so different and there's so many pros and cons of both I don't even know which I like better

*I think online is way more convenient, as far as not having to get ready and sleeping in late.. but you can cheat your way through unless you have the determination to do otherwise and get the most out of your education. Personally, I like to challenge myself and work hard, but I'd feel like it would be too easy to cheat. Also, you miss out on so many experiences.. but everyone likes different things and ways of learning so..*

Another thing about Homeschooling is how left out you're probably always going to feel. I haven't seen my only two friends since October 2017, and it's January 2018. (but look at that grammar dude)

I love online school! When I have questions luckily I can just ask my Mom lol. Most communities have homeschool proms.
Once you really look into online schooling it is not the same in every program, and they can and will vary, drastically at times. Some online schools only meet a few times a week and others will require you to be in class everyday (Monday-Friday). So, what I am trying to say is that every online school will be different and some times the same can be different depending on the person.
I'm a homeschooler and I absolutely love it! I was in public school until I switched over to homeschooling. Most of the things in the video were more specific to online school rather than homeschooling. I still have friends, I go to classes, there are proms hosted by really big groups of homeschoolers! I think I have more experiences homeschooling than I would've had in public school.

My eyes never hurt. At least it doesn't last as long as actual does, there's less time for your eyes to hurt in homeschool.

Idk whos school this is but mine is nothing like this. 😂, at my highschool they dont really have a dress code , they really let us wear anything we want , shorts , v necks , tight dresses , they dont care at all. They give us pizza everyday for lunch from dominos. People dont really make out , its more just super close to eachother. And we can leave campus and go get lunch if we want. 🤷🏽♀️

hey there That’s how I was(This is my first year of online) and I never thought my parents would say yes. I just talked to them about it, and I told them I would still socialize, do my work and be active, so that helped convince them

My school had an online school option I did my senior year, and that was AMAZING! I did beauty pageants so the fancy dress desire wasn't an issue for dances, and I got to work full time that year. I hated most of the kids in my grade, so getting my CNA and EMT and never having to talk to the kids at my school was awesome.

I have done public school all my life but this year I'm in 9th grade and decided to do homeschooling its tough but you have all the notes in front of you so I guess I'm doing good. Kyla Wynn I am basically teaching myself the material so it is pretty hard ngl. I do feel like I am learning a lot but I could be learning more with a little help. It's true homeschooling is definitely not for everyone. I am making it work but I personally don't like it very much which is why I am going back to public school next year.

i so wish i was public schooled. im a senior, so it’s too late to join any school, but it has caused a lot of problems for me. i havent had a friend in 2 years, lack social skills, NEVER LEAVE MY HOUSE, im so depressed and i dont want to go to college because of how much school in general has pretty much scarred me. i doubt myself and have self esteem issues to the max! i hate my life because of it, but i never had a choice.

Homeschool isn't always lonely. There are big gatherings at playgrounds and parks just for homeschooled kids. When I was homeschooled, I went to one almost every day, and I was never lonely.

Ok, so I wrote a comment about a while ago, and I decided to edit it.
I kept getting mean replies to that obviously meant that people’s were not understanding my point.
So I am going to do it differently now.
My point is, that public schoolers don’t know very much about homeschooling, yet there were so many people judging it. That just doesn’t seem right.
It’s like saying that you don’t like a food before you’ve even tried it.
I just didn’t like what people thought of homeschoolers.
People had a lot of false thoughts of homeschooling, like...
That we don’t get to socialize at all, or that we are too lazy that we never learn.
The point of this comment is just to let all of you know that, none of that is true.
The thing about public school is, that there are like 20 people in a class, and all of them have to be taught.
There are the class clowns, the teachers pets, the annoying kids, and the good kids.
All of them equals up to about 50 minutes of each subject.
But homeschool, it’s just one kid, taught by a parent, who know them better than anyone.
The parent is able to teach the one kid, one subject, without anyone else getting in the way. That all equals up to, about 15-20 minutes for each subject.
Homeschoolers and just as much in 2 hours, as a public school can in 8.
So yeah, we do have a lot of free time, that we can use in many different ways.
We could do more work with all that extra time and get 2 days done in only 4 hours.
Still less than a public school day.
So there you go, I just made you a little smarter by telling you what it’s like to be a homeschooler.

Been online-schooled my whole life. When my friends switched to online school as well, we would hang out all the time, play games, walk around the city etc. Most of my loneliness came from when my friends where all in public school

Okay what people should realize about homeschool, is that you can be social, you do not have to stay in your house. Just like online college, you don't have to be antisocial, be awkward and never experience anything. That's your own choice if u decide to live life that way. I was honeschooled middle school on, and being 25 years old now I tell u I go to and have gone to plenty of music festivals, local events in my town, camping, traveled, was never socially awkward and learned from things like going to museums and what not over the years, plenty of experience. It's the same thing, u can learn what is taught in public schools at your house or from an online school
I loved to go school and because I was a youth person online school is I stayed home my work schedule I have to do in school and homes most of the time
Since I do online school, it wasn't like this at all. You have to wake up at a specific time, every morning. Get dressed just in case you have to go out to the library. You usually get a 30 minute break. The socializing is really sad, because I don't usually socialize with others since I do mine on my laptop.
And, yeah. I mean it's not that great for socializing but graduation is fine for me, I don't like having parties anyway.

I dont want to start a fight lol but I do a online school system that allows me to get on whenever I watch vids and take a quiz I do all my daily assignments and then do whatever I do acellus academy

Flipping Kate I’m doing online school and I have to be up by 10:00 and spend 19.5 hours a week doing work with no breaks
