Simple Preflop Holdem is using the same algorithm to calculate equilibrium strategies in multi-way spots :) and for postflop is used a kind of Simple Postflop solver.
So the human player did not bet turn and river, indicating that the hand is not strong, so the AI reraises river on a hand that is stronger than bluffcatchers.
AI's hand is leading out of the gate and it continued to improve on each street given the board texture. When you catch cards like this, it opens the door to all kinds of 'fancy' play. I'm not sure exactly how much credit I'd give for this single example. But apparently there was plenty of other hands that, taken as a whole, warrant merit. Looking forward to getting up to speed on all the particulars.
There's no reason to believe that this "AI" is not cheating. After all, we're talking about Facebook here. The fact that CMU actually collaborated with them is disgusting. I suppose higher education is thrown away when the cash is flashed.

everything isn't as simple as it seems
checking out of position with a pair = trapping to Carnegie Mellon
This means absolutely nothing.
What matters is whether the AI can win more than a human over time.
Any good human player would use a similar strategy.

Come at my KQ, bro. 😘
but KQ is useless against the almighty AQ!
he would not check behind KQ in position on the turn probably.
